अयं॒ देवा॒नाम् अ॒सुरो वि॒ राजति व॒शा हि॒ सत्या॒ व॒रुणस्य रा॒ज्ञः ।
त॒तस् प॒रि ब्र॒ह्मणा शा॒शदान उग्र॒स्य मन्यो॒र् उ॒द् इमं॒ नयामि ॥१॥
ayáṃ devā́nām ásuro ví rājati váśā hí satyā́ váruṇasya rā́jñaḥ |
tátas pári bráhmaṇā śā́śadāna ugrásya manyór úd imáṃ nayāmi ||1||
Этот Асура правит богами -
Ведь повеления царя Варуны (всегда) сбываются.
От этого, от ярости грозного (бога)
Я увожу его, одерживая верх с помощью заговора.
This Lord is the Gods' ruler; for the wishes of Varuna the King
must be accomplished.
Therefore, triumphant with the prayer I utter, I rescue this man
from the Fierce One's anger.
This Asura rules over the gods; the commands of Varuna, the ruler, surely come true. From this (trouble), from the wrath of the mighty (Varuna), do I, excelling in my incantation, lead out this man.
avś_01.010.02.
न॒मस् ते रजन् वरुणास्तु मन्य॒वे वि॒श्वं ह्य् उ॑ग्र निचिके॒षि द्रुग्ध॒म् ।
सह॒स्रम् अन्या॒न् प्र॒ सुवामि साकं॒ शतं॒ जीवाति शर॒दस् त॒वाय॒म् ॥२॥
námas te rajan varuṇāstu manyáve víśvaṃ hy ùgra nicikéṣi drugdhám |
sahásram anyā́n prá suvāmi sākáṃ śatáṃ jīvāti śarádas távāyám ||2||
Да будет поклонение твоей ярости, о царь Варуна, -
Ведь ты, о грозный, замечаешь любой обман!
Тысячу других я уступаю (тебе) сразу.
Этот пусть живет у тебя сотню осеней!
Homage be paid, King Varuna, to thine anger; for thou, dread
God, detectest every falsehood.
I send a thousand others forth together: let this thy servant live
a hundred autumns.
Reverence, O king Varuna, be to thy wrath, for all falsehood, O mighty one, clost thou discover. A thousand others together do I make over to thee: this thy (man) shall live a hundred autumns!
avś_01.010.03.
य॒द् उव॒क्था॒नृतम् जिह्व॒या वृजिनं॒ बहु॒ ।
रा॒ज्ञस् त्वा सत्य॒धर्मणो मुञ्चा॒मि व॒रुणाद् अह॒म् ॥३॥
yád uvákthā́nr̥tam jihváyā vr̥jináṃ bahú |
rā́jñas tvā satyádharmaṇo muñcā́mi váruṇād ahám ||3||
Если языком произнес ты неправду,
Много лжи,
Я освобождаю тебя от царя
Варуны, чьи законы истинны.
Whatever falsehood thou hast told, much evil spoken with the
tongue,
I liberate thee from the noose of Varuna the righteous King.
From the untruth which thou hast spoken, the abundant wrong, with thy tongue — from king, Varuna I release thee, whose laws do not fail.
avś_01.010.04.
मुञ्चा॒मि त्वा वैश्वानरा॒द् अर्णवा॒न् महत॒स् प॒रि ।
सजाता॒न् उग्रेहा॒ वद ब्र॒ह्म चा॒प चिकीहि नः ॥४॥
muñcā́mi tvā vaiśvānarā́d arṇavā́n mahatás pári |
sajātā́n ugrehā́ vada bráhma cā́pa cikīhi naḥ ||4||
Я освобождаю тебя от всеобъемлющего
Великого потока.
Сородичей извести здесь, о грозный,
И уважь наше заклинание!
I free thee from Vaisvānara, from the great surging flood of sin.
Call thou thy brothers, Awful One! and pay attention to our
prayer.
I release thee from Vaisvānara (Agni), from the great flood. Our rivals, O mighty one, do thou censure here, and give heed to our prayer!
