व॒षट् ते पूषन्न् अस्मि॒न्त् सू॒ताव् अर्यमा॒ हो॒ता कृणोतु वेधाः॒ ।
सि॒स्रतां ना॒र्य् ऋत॒प्रजाता वि॒ प॒र्वाणि जिहतां सूतवा॒ उ ॥१॥
váṣaṭ te pūṣann asmínt sū́tāv aryamā́ hótā kr̥ṇotu vedhā́ḥ |
sísratāṃ nā́ry r̥táprajātā ví párvāṇi jihatāṃ sūtavā́ u ||1||
Вашат! - да провозгласит тебе, о Пушан, при этих родах
Арьяман как искусный хотар.
Пусть разрешится от бремени женщина, правильно зачавшая!
Пусть разойдутся суставы для родов!
Vashat to thee. O Pūshan At this birth let Aryaman the Sage
perform as Hotar-priest,
As one who bears in season let this dame be ready to bring forth
her child.
Aryaman as active hotar-priest shall utter for thee the vashat-call at this (soma-) pressing, O Pūshan! May (this) woman, (herself) begotten in the proper way, be delivered, may her joints relax, that she shall bring forth!

च॒तस्रो दिवः॒ प्रदि॒शश् च॒तस्रो भू॒म्या उत॒ ।
देवा॒ ग॒र्भं स॒म् ऐरयन् तं॒ व्य् ऊ॑र्णुवन्तु सू॒तवे ॥२॥
cátasro diváḥ pradíśaś cátasro bhū́myā utá |
devā́ gárbhaṃ sám airayan táṃ vy ū̀rṇuvantu sū́tave ||2||
Четыре стороны у неба,
Четыре также у земли.
Боги вместе вызвали к жизни зародыш.
Да раскроют они его для родов!
Four are the regions of the sky, and four the regions of the
earth:
The Gods have brought the babe; let them prepare the woman
for the birth.
Four directions has the heaven, and also four the earth: (from these) the gods created the embryo. May they open her, that she shall bring forth!
avś_01.011.03.
सूषा॒ व्य् ऊर्णोतु वि॒ यो॒निं हापयामसि ।
श्रथ॒या सूषणे त्व॒म् अ॒व त्वं॒ बिष्कले सृज ॥३॥
sūṣā́ vy ūrṇotu ví yóniṃ hāpayāmasi |
śratháyā sūṣaṇe tvám áva tváṃ biṣkale sr̥ja ||3||
Сушан пусть раскроет (его)!
Мы велим лону разверзнуться.
Расслабь ты, о Сушана!
Выпусти ты, о Бишкала!
Puerpera (infatem) detegat: nos uterum aperimus. Lexa teipsam,
puerpera. Tu, parturiens! emitte eum non carni, non adipi,
non medullae adhāerntem.
May Sūshan open: her womb do we cause to gape. Do thou, O Sūshan, loosen the womb, do thou, O Bishkalā, let go (the ernbryo)!
avś_01.011.04.
ने॒व मांसे॒ न॒ पी॒वसि ने॒व मज्ज॒स्व् आ॒हतम् ।
अ॒वैतु पृ॒श्नि शे॒वलं शु॒ने जरा॒य्व् अ॒त्तवे॒ ऽव जरा॒यु पद्यताम् ॥४॥
néva māṃsé ná pī́vasi néva majjásv ā́hatam |
ávaitu pŕ̥śni śévalaṃ śúne jarā́yv áttavé 'va jarā́yu padyatām ||4||
Не прибившись ни к мясу,
Ни к жиру, ни к костному мозгу,
Пусть выйдет пестрый, слизистый
Послед - на съедение собаке!
Пусть выпадет послед!
Descendat viscosa placenta, cani, comedenda placenta; decidat
placenta.
Attached not at all to the flesh, nor to the fat, not at all to the marrow, may the splotched, moist, placenta come down to be eaten by a dog! May the placenta fall down!

वि॒ ते भिनद्मि मे॒हनं वि॒ यो॒निं वि॒ गवी॒निके ।
वि॒ मात॒रं च पुत्रं॒ च वि॒ कुमारं॒ जरा॒युणा॒व जरा॒यु पद्यताम् ॥५॥
ví te bhinadmi méhanaṃ ví yóniṃ ví gavī́nike |
ví mātáraṃ ca putráṃ ca ví kumāráṃ jarā́yuṇā́va jarā́yu padyatām ||5||
Я рассекаю твой мочевой канал,
Рас(секаю) лоно, рас(секаю) чресла(?),
Рас(секаю) мать и сына,
Рас(секаю) мальчика и послед.
Пусть выпадет послед!
Diffindo tuum urinae ductum, diffindo vaginam, diffindo inguina.
Matrem natumque divido, puerum a placenta divido: decidat
placenta.
I split open thy vagina, thy womb, thy canals; I separate the mother and the son, the child along with the placenta. May the placenta fall down!

य॒था वा॒तो य॒था म॒नो य॒था प॒तन्ति पक्षि॒णः ।
एवा॒ त्वं॒ दशमास्य साकं॒ जरा॒युणा पता॒व जरा॒यु पद्यताम् ॥६॥
yáthā vā́to yáthā máno yáthā pátanti pakṣíṇaḥ |
evā́ tváṃ daśamāsya sākáṃ jarā́yuṇā patā́va jarā́yu padyatām ||6||
Как ветер, как мысль,
Как птицы летят,
Так лети ты о десяти месяцах
Вместе с последом!
Пусть выпадет послед!
Sicut ventus, sicut mens, sicut alites volant, sic, decem mensium
puer, cum placenta descende: descendat placenta.
As flies the wind, as flies the mind, as fly the winged birds, so do thou, O embryo,. ten months old, fall along with the placenta! May the placenta fall down!
