अमू॒र् या॒ य॒न्ति योषि॒तो हिरा॒ लो॒हितवाससः ।
अभ्रा॒तर इव जाम॒यस् ति॒ष्ठन्तु हत॒वर्चसः ॥१॥
amū́r yā́ yánti yoṣíto hirā́ lóhitavāsasaḥ |
abhrā́tara iva jāmáyas tíṣṭhantu hatávarcasaḥ ||1||
Вон те женщины, что уходят,
Вены в красных одеждах, -
Как безбратние сестры,
Пусть остановятся они с разбитым блеском!
Those maidens there, the veins, who run their course in robes of
ruddy hue,
Must now stand quiet, reft of power, like sisters who are brother-
less.
The maidens that go yonder, the veins, clothed in red garments, like sisters without a brother, bereft of strength, they shall stand still!
avś_01.017.02.
ति॒ष्ठावरे ति॒ष्ठ पर उत॒ त्वं॒ तिष्ठ मध्यमे ।
कनिष्ठिका॒ च ति॒ष्ठति तिष्ठाद् इ॒द् धम॒निर् मही॒ ॥२॥
tíṣṭhāvare tíṣṭha para utá tváṃ tiṣṭha madhyame |
kaniṣṭhikā́ ca tíṣṭhati tiṣṭhād íd dhamánir mahī́ ||2||
Остановись, нижняя!
Остановись, верхняя!
И ты, средняя, остановись!
Если останавливается самая маленькая,
Пусть тогда остановится и великий сосуд!
Stay still, thou upper vein, stay still, thou lower, stay, thou
midmost one,
The smallest one of all stands still: let the great vessel e'en be
still.
Stand still, thou lower one, stand still, thou higher one; do thou in the middle also stand still! The most tiny (vein) stands still: may then the great artery also stand still!
avś_01.017.03.
शत॒स्य धम॒नीनां सह॒स्रस्य हिरा॒णाम् ।
अ॒स्थुर् इ॒न् मध्यमा॒ इमाः॒ साक॒म् अ॒न्ता अरंसत ॥३॥
śatásya dhamánīnāṃ sahásrasya hirā́ṇām |
ásthur ín madhyamā́ imā́ḥ sākám ántā araṃsata ||3||
Из сотни сосудов,
Из тысячи вен
Вот остановились эти средние.
Одновременно успокоились концы.
Among a thousand vessels charged with blood, among a thousand
veins,
Even these the middlemost stand still and their extremities have
rest.
Of the hundred arteries, and the thousand veins, those in the middle here have indeed stood still. At the same time the ends have ceased (to flow).
avś_01.017.04.
प॒रि वः सि॒कतावती धनू॒र् बृहत्य् अ॑क्रमीत् ।
ति॒ष्ठतेल॒यता सु॒ कम् ॥४॥
pári vaḥ síkatāvatī dhanū́r br̥haty àkramīt |
tíṣṭhateláyatā sú kam ||4||
Вас обступил большой
Песчаный берег.
Остановитесь! Совсем уймитесь!
A mighty rampart built of sand hath circled and encompassed
you:
Be still, and quietly take rest.
Around you has passed a great sandy dike: stand ye still, pray take your case!
