शं॒ नो देवी॒ पृश्निपर्ण्य् अ॒शं नि॒रृत्या अकः ।
उग्रा॒ हि॒ कण्वज॒म्भनी ता॒म् अभक्षि स॒हस्वतीम् ॥१॥

śáṃ no devī́ pr̥śniparṇy áśaṃ nírr̥tyā akaḥ |
ugrā́ hí kaṇvajámbhanī tā́m abhakṣi sáhasvatīm ||1||

Счастье (создала) для нас пестролистая богиня.
Несчастье она создала для Гибели.
Раз она грозная размалывательница канвов, Я воспользовался ею, могучею.

The Goddess Prisniparni hath blest us, and troubled Nirriti.
Fierce crusher of the Kanvas she: her have I gained, the mighty
one.

The goddess Prisniparnī has prepared prosperity for us, mishap for Nirriti (the goddess of destruction). For she is a fierce devourer of the Kanvas: her, the mighty, have I employed.

avś_02.025.02.

स॒हमानेयं॒ प्रथमा॒ पृश्निपर्ण्य् अ॑जायत ।
त॒याहं॒ दुर्णा॒म्नां शि॒रो वृश्चा॒मि शकु॒नेर् इव ॥२॥

sáhamāneyáṃ prathamā́ pr̥śniparṇy àjāyata |
táyāháṃ durṇā́mnāṃ śíro vr̥ścā́mi śakúner iva ||2||

Эта пестролистая
Первая родилась всесильной.
С ее помощью у тех с поганым именем
Я отрубаю голову, как у птицы.

Victorious in the olden time this Prisniparni was brought forth:
With her I cleave, as 'twere a bird's, the head of the Detestables.

The Prisniparnī was first begotten powerful; with her do I lop off the heads of the evil brood, as (the head) of a bird.

avś_02.025.03.

अरा॒यम् असृक्पा॒वानं य॒श् च स्फातिं॒ जि॒हीर्षति ।
गर्भादं॒ क॒ण्वं नाशय पृ॒श्निपर्णि स॒हस्व च ॥३॥

arā́yam asr̥kpā́vānaṃ yáś ca sphātíṃ jíhīrṣati |
garbhādáṃ káṇvaṃ nāśaya pŕ̥śniparṇi sáhasva ca ||3||

Упыря, пьющего кровь,
И (того), кто хочет забрать жир, Канву - пожирателя зародыша Уничтожь, о пестролистая, и одолей!

The hateful fiend who drinks the blood, and him who take away
the growth,
The Kanva who devours the germ, quell, Prisniparni! and!
destroy.

The blood-sucking demon, and him that tries to rob (our) health, Kanva, the devourer of our offspring, destroy, O Prisniparnī, and overcome!

avś_02.025.04.

गिरि॒म् एनां आ॒ वेशय क॒ण्वान् जीवितयो॒पनान् ।
तां॒स् त्वं॒ देवि पृ॒श्निपर्ण्य् अग्नि॒र् इवानुद॒हन्न् इहि ॥४॥

girím enām̐ ā́ veśaya káṇvān jīvitayópanān |
tā́ṃs tváṃ devi pŕ̥śniparṇy agnír ivānudáhann ihi ||4||

Загони их в гору,
Канвов, отравляющих жизнь! Ты, пестролистая богиня, Преследуй их, сжигая как огонь!

Drive and imprison in a hill these Kanvas harassers of life:
Follow them Prisniparni, thou Goddess, like fire consuming.
them.

These Kanvas, the effacers of life, drive into the mountain; go thou burning after them like fire, O goddess Prisniparnī!

avś_02.025.05.

प॒राच एनान् प्र॒ णुद क॒ण्वान् जीवितयो॒पनान् ।
त॒मांसि य॒त्र ग॒छन्ति त॒त् क्रव्या॒दो अजीगमम् ॥५॥

párāca enān prá ṇuda káṇvān jīvitayópanān |
támāṃsi yátra gáchanti tát kravyā́do ajīgamam ||5||

Прочь оттолкни их,
Канвов, отравляющих жизнь!
Я отправил пожирателей мяса туда, Где движется тьма.

Drive thou away these Kanvas, drive the harassers of life afar.
Whither the shades of darkness go, I send the fiends who feed
on flesh.

Drive far away these Kanvas, the effacers of life! Where the dark regions are, there have I made these flesh-eaters go.
