ने॒च् छ॒त्रुः प्रा॒शं जयाति स॒हमानाभिभू॒र् असि ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥१॥

néc chátruḥ prā́śaṃ jayāti sáhamānābhibhū́r asi |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||1||

Да не выиграет спора (мой) враг! Ты осиливающее, побеждающее. Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

Let not the enemy win the cause! Strong and predominant art
thou.
Refute mine adversary's speech. Render them dull and flat, O
Plant.

May the enemy not win the debate! Thou art mighty and overpowering. Overcome the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.02.

सुपर्ण॒स् त्वा॒न्व् अविन्दत् सूकर॒स् त्वाखनन् नसा॒ ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥२॥

suparṇás tvā́nv avindat sūkarás tvākhanan nasā́ |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||2||

Орел тебя нашел.
Кабан тебя выкопал рылом.
Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

The strong-winged bird discovered thee, the boar unearthed thee
with his snout.

Plant.

An eagle found thee out, a boar dug thee out with his snout. Overcome the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.03.

इ॒न्द्रो ह चक्रे त्वा बाहा॒व् अ॒सुरेभ्य स्त॒रीतवे ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥३॥

índro ha cakre tvā bāhā́v ásurebhya stárītave |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||3||

Ведь Индра положил тебя (себе) на руку,
Чтобы рассеять асуров.
Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

Yea, Indra laid thee on his arm, to cast the Asuras to the
ground.
Refute mine adversary's speech. Render them dull and flat, O
Plant.

Indra placed thee upon his arm in order to overthrow the Asuras. Overcome the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.04.

पाटा॒म् इ॒न्द्रो व्य् आ॑श्नाद् अ॒सुरेभ्य स्त॒रीतवे ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥४॥

pāṭā́m índro vy ā̀śnād ásurebhya stárītave |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||4||

Индра съел (растение) пата,
Чтобы рассеять асуров.
Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

Indra devoured the Pātā plant that he might lay the Asuras
low.
Refute mine adversary's speech! Render them dull and flat, O
Plant.

Indra did eat the pātā-plant, in order to overthrow the Asuras. Overcome the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.05.

त॒याहं॒ श॒त्रून्त् साक्ष इ॒न्द्रः सालावृकां॒ इव ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥५॥

táyāháṃ śátrūnt sākṣa índraḥ sālāvr̥kā́m̐ iva |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||5||

Благодаря этому я одолею врагов,
Как Индра - гиен.
Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

With this I overcome my foes as Indra overcame the wolves.
Refute mine adversary's speech! Render them dull and flat, O
Plant.

By means of thee I shall conquer the enemy, as Indra (conquered) the Sālāvrikas. Overcome the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.06.

रु॒द्र ज॒लाषभेषज नी॒लशिखण्ड क॒र्मकृत् ।
प्रा॒शं प्र॒तिप्राशो जह्य् अरसा॒न् कृण्व् ओषधे ॥६॥

rúdra jálāṣabheṣaja nī́laśikhaṇḍa kármakr̥t |
prā́śaṃ prátiprāśo jahy arasā́n kr̥ṇv oṣadhe ||6||

О Рудра, обладатель целебных средств,
С пучком темных волос, свершитель (замечательных) свершений, Разбей спор возражающего (мне)! Сделай (их) лишенными сока, о растение!

O Rudra, Lord of Healing Balms, dark-crested, skilful in thy
work!—
Refute mine adversary's speech. Render them dull and flat, O
Plant.

O Rudra, whose remedy is the urine, with black crest of hair, performer of (strong) deeds,overcome thou the debate of those that debate against us, render them devoid of force, O plant!

avś_02.027.07.

त॒स्य प्रा॒शं त्वं॒ जहि यो॒ न इन्द्राभिदा॒सति ।
अ॒धि नो ब्रूहि श॒क्तिभिः प्राशि॒ मा॒म् उ॒त्तरं कृधि ॥७॥

tásya prā́śaṃ tváṃ jahi yó na indrābhidā́sati |
ádhi no brūhi śáktibhiḥ prāśí mā́m úttaraṃ kr̥dhi ||7||

Разбей спор того, о Индра,
Кто нам угрожает!
Вступись за нас (своими) силами! Сделай меня высшим в споре!

Indra, defeat the speech of him who meets us with hostility.
Comfort us with thy power and might. Make me superior in
debate.

Overcome thou the debate of him that is hostile to us, O Indra! Encourage us with thy might! Render me superior in debate!
