अग्नि॒र् नः श॒त्रून् प्र॒त्य् एतु विद्वा॒न् प्रतिद॒हन्न् अभि॒शस्तिम् अ॒रातिम् ।
स॒ से॒नां मोहयतु प॒रेषां नि॒र्हस्तांश् च कृणवज् जात॒वेदाः ॥१॥
agnír naḥ śátrūn práty etu vidvā́n pratidáhann abhíśastim árātim |
sá sénāṃ mohayatu páreṣāṃ nírhastāṃś ca kr̥ṇavaj jātávedāḥ ||1||
Пусть Агни-знаток выступит против наших врагов,
Встречая огнем проклятие, враждебность!
Пусть собьет он с толку армию врагов И сделает (их) безрукими, Джатаведас!
Let the wise Agni go against our foemen, burning against ill-will
and imprecation
Let him bewilder our opponents' army, Let Jātavedas smite and
make them handless.
Agni shall skilfully march against our opponents, burning against their schemes and hostile plans; Gātavedas shall confuse the army of our opponents and deprive them (of the use) of their hands!
avś_03.001.02.
यूय॒म् उग्रा॒ मरुत ईदृ॒शे स्थाभि॒ प्रे॒त मृण॒त स॒हध्वम् ।
अ॒मीमृणन् व॒सवो नाथिता॒ इमे॒ अग्नि॒र् ह्य् ए॑षां दूतः॒ प्रत्ये॒तु विद्वा॒न् ॥२॥
yūyám ugrā́ maruta īdŕ̥śe sthābhí préta mr̥ṇáta sáhadhvam |
ámīmr̥ṇan vásavo nāthitā́ imé agnír hy èṣāṃ dūtáḥ pratyétu vidvā́n ||2||
Вы бываете грозными в таком (деле), о Маруты.
Идите вперед, разбивайте, одолевайте!
Ведь эти Васу разбили (их), когда их попросили, А ведь Агни - их вестник. Пусть он выступит против (врагов), знаток!
Mighty are ye for such a deed, O Maruts. Go forward, overcome
them and destroy them.
The Vasus slew, and these were left imploring. Wise Agni as our
messenger assail them!
Ye Maruts are mighty in such matters: advance ye, crush ye, conquer ye (the enerny)! These Vasus when implored did crush (them). Agni, vily, as their vanauard shall skilfully attack!
avś_03.001.03.
अमित्रसेनां॒ मघवन्न् अस्मा॒न् छत्रूयती॒म् अभि॒ ।
युवं॒ ता॒म् इन्द्र वृत्रहन्न् अग्नि॒श् च दहतं प्र॒ति ॥३॥
amitrasenā́ṃ maghavann asmā́n chatrūyatī́m abhí |
yuváṃ tā́m indra vr̥trahann agníś ca dahataṃ práti ||3||
Неприятельскую армию, о щедрый,
Враждующую с нами,
О Индра, убийца Вритры, и Агни,
Встретьте вы их оба огнем!
O Maghavan, O Indra, thou who slayest fiends, and, Agni, thou,
Burn, both of you, against these men, the foeman's host that
threatens us.
O Maghavan, the hostile army which contends against us — do ye, O Indra, Vritra's slayer, and Agni, burn against them!
avś_03.001.04.
प्र॒सूत इन्द्र प्रव॒ता ह॒रिभ्यां प्र॒ ते व॒ज्रः प्रमृण॒न्न् एतु श॒त्रून् ।
जहि॒ प्रती॒चो अनू॒चः प॒राचो वि॒ष्वक् सत्यं॒ कृणुहि चित्त॒म् एषाम् ॥४॥
prásūta indra pravátā háribhyāṃ prá te vájraḥ pramr̥ṇánn etu śátrūn |
jahí pratī́co anū́caḥ párāco víṣvak satyáṃ kr̥ṇuhi cittám eṣām ||4||
Побужденная (нами), о Индра, (пусть) стремительно (помчится
колесница) с двумя булаными конями! Пусть двинется вперед твоя ваджра, разбивая врагов! Убей (тех), кто идет навстречу, идет следом, идет прочь! Сделай их подлинный замысел развеянным!
Shot down the slope, with thy two tawny coursers, forth go thy
bolt, destroying foes, O Indra!
Slay those who fly, slay those who stand and follow.
On every side fulfil these men's intention.
Thy thunderbolt, O Indra, who hast been driven forward swiftly by thy two bay steeds, shall advance, crushing the enemies. Slay them that resist, pursue, or flee, deprive their schemes of fulfilment!
avś_03.001.05.
इ॒न्द्र से॒नां मोहयामि॒त्राणाम् ।
अग्ने॒र् वा॒तस्य ध्रा॒ज्या ता॒न् वि॒षूचो वि॒ नाशय ॥५॥
índra sénāṃ mohayāmítrāṇām |
agnér vā́tasya dhrā́jyā tā́n víṣūco ví nāśaya ||5||
О Индра, сбей с толку армию недругов!
Порывом огня (и) ветра
Уничтожь их, разметав!
Indra, bewilder thou the foemen's army.
With Agni's, Vāta's furious rush drive them away to every side.
O Indra, confuse the army of the enemy; with the impact of the fire and the wind scatter them to either side!
avś_03.001.06.
इ॒न्द्रः से॒नां मोहयतु मरु॒तो घ्नन्त्व् ओ॒जसा ।
च॒क्षूंस्य् अग्नि॒र् आ॒ दत्तां पु॒नर् एतु प॒राजिता ॥६॥
índraḥ sénāṃ mohayatu marúto ghnantv ójasā |
cákṣūṃsy agnír ā́ dattāṃ púnar etu párājitā ||6||
Пусть Индра собьет армию с толка!
Пусть Маруты убивают силой!
Пусть Агни отберет (у нее) глаза!
Пусть вернется она, потерпев поражение!
Let Indra daze their army. Let the Maruts slay it with their
might.
Let Agni take their eyes away, and let the conquered host
retreat.
Indra shall confuse the army, the Miaruts shall slay it with might! Agni shall rob it of its sight; vanquished it shall turn about!
