आ॒य॒म् अगन् पर्णमणि॒र् बली॒ ब॒लेन प्रमृण॒न्त् सप॒त्नान् ।
ओ॒जो देवा॒नां प॒य ओ॒षधीनां व॒र्चसा मा जिन्वन्त्व् अ॒प्रयावन् ॥१॥
ā́yám agan parṇamaṇír balī́ bálena pramr̥ṇánt sapátnān |
ójo devā́nāṃ páya óṣadhīnāṃ várcasā mā jinvantv áprayāvan ||1||
Пришел сюда этот амулет из парны, сильный,
Силой разбивающий соперников.
Мощь богов, молоко растений,
Пусть неустанно подкрепляет он меня блеском!
This Parna-Amulet hath come, strong and destroying with its
strength my rivals.
The power of the Gods, the plants' sweet essence, may it incite
me ceaselessly with vigour.
Hither hath come this amulet of parna-wood, with its might mightily crushing the enemy. (It is) the strength of the gods, the sap of the waters: may it assiduously enliven me with energy!
avś_03.005.02.
म॒यि क्षत्रं॒ पर्णमणे म॒यि धारयताद् रयि॒म् ।
अहं॒ राष्ट्र॒स्याभीवर्गे॒ निजो॒ भूयासम् उत्तमः॒ ॥२॥
máyi kṣatráṃ parṇamaṇe máyi dhārayatād rayím |
aháṃ rāṣṭrásyābhīvargé nijó bhūyāsam uttamáḥ ||2||
Во мне - господство, о амулет из парны,
Во мне поддерживай богатство!
Да буду я своим (и) высшим В пределах государства!
O Parna-Amulet, in me set firmly might and opulence.
Within the compass of my rule may I be rooted and supreme.
The power to rule thou shalt hold fast in me, O amulet of parna-wood; wealth (thou shalt hold fast) in me! May I, rooted in the domain of royalty, become the chief!

यं॒ निदधु॒र् व॒नस्प॒तौ गु॒ह्यं देवाः॒ प्रियं॒ मणि॒म् ।
त॒म् अस्म॒भ्यं सहा॒युषा देवा॒ ददतु भ॒र्तवे ॥३॥
yáṃ nidadhúr vánaspátau gúhyaṃ devā́ḥ priyáṃ maṇím |
tám asmábhyaṃ sahā́yuṣā devā́ dadatu bhártave ||3||
Какой приятный амулет боги
Тайно вложили в дерево -Пусть дадут его нам боги Носить вместе со сроком жизни!
That dear mysterious Amulet which Gods have set within the
tree,
May the Gods grant to me to wear together with extended
life.
Their very own amulet which the gods deposited secretly in the tree, that the gods shall give us to wear, together with life!
avś_03.005.04.
सो॒मस्य पर्णः॒ स॒ह उग्र॒म् आ॒गन्न् इ॒न्द्रेण दत्तो॒ व॒रुणेन शिष्टः॒ ।
तं॒ प्रियासं बहु॒ रो॒चमानो दीर्घायुत्वा॒य शत॒शारदाय ॥४॥
sómasya parṇáḥ sáha ugrám ā́gann índreṇa dattó váruṇena śiṣṭáḥ |
táṃ priyāsaṃ bahú rócamāno dīrghāyutvā́ya śatáśāradāya ||4||
Парна, грозная сила Сомы, пришел, Данный Индрой, наученный Варуной. Да буду я носить его, ярко сверкая, На долголетие в сто осеней!
As Indra's gift, by Varuna instructed, Parna hath come, the
mighty strength of Soma:
This would I, brightly shining, love and cherish for long life
lasting through a hundred autumns.
The parna has come hither as the mighty strength of the soma, given by Indra, instructed by Varuna. May I, shining brilliantly, wear it, unto long life, during a hundred autumns!
avś_03.005.05.
आ॒ मारुक्षत् पर्णमणि॒र् मह्या॒ अरिष्टता॒तये ।
य॒थाह॒म् उत्तरो॒ ऽसान्य् अर्यम्ण॒ उत॒ संवि॒दः ॥५॥
ā́ mārukṣat parṇamaṇír mahyā́ ariṣṭatā́taye |
yáthāhám uttaró 'sāny aryamṇá utá saṃvídaḥ ||5||
Вознес меня амулет из парны На великую невредимость, Чтобы стал я высшим
Перед товарищем, а также перед единомышленником!
The Parna-Charm hath come to me for great security from ill.
That I may be exalted, yea, above the wealth of Aryaman.
The amulet of parna-wood has ascended upon me unto complete exemption from injury, that I may rise superior (even) to friends and alliances!
avś_03.005.06.
ये॒ धी॒वानो रथकाराः॒ कर्मा॒रा ये॒ मनीषि॒णः ।
उपस्ती॒न् पर्ण म॒ह्यं त्वं स॒र्वान् कृण्व् अभि॒तो ज॒नान् ॥६॥
yé dhī́vāno rathakārā́ḥ karmā́rā yé manīṣíṇaḥ |
upastī́n parṇa máhyaṃ tvaṃ sárvān kr̥ṇv abhíto jánān ||6||
(Те), кто вдохновенные строители колесниц,
Кто умелые кузнецы, -
Подчиненным мне, о парна,
Сделай ты весь народ вокруг!
Sagacious builders of the car, cleaver and skilful artisans,—
Make all the men on every side, Parna, obedient to my will
The skilful builders of chariots, and the ingenious workers of metal, the folk about me all, do thou, O parna, make my aids!

ये॒ रा॒जानो राजकृ॒तः सूता॒ ग्रामण्य॑श् च ये॒ ।
उपस्ती॒न् पर्ण म॒ह्यं त्वं॒ स॒र्वान् कृण्व् अभि॒तो ज॒नान् ॥७॥
yé rā́jāno rājakŕ̥taḥ sūtā́ grāmaṇyàś ca yé |
upastī́n parṇa máhyaṃ tváṃ sárvān kr̥ṇv abhíto jánān ||7||
(Те), кто цари, кто выдвигает царей,
Колесничие и кто предводители отрядов, -
Подчиненным мне, о парна,
Сделай ты весь народ вокруг!
The kings and makers of the kings, troop-leaders, masters of the
horse,
Make all the men on every side, Parna, obedient to my will.
The kings who (themselves) make kings, the charioteers, and leaders of hosts, the folk about me all, do thou, O parna, make my aids!
avś_03.005.08.
पर्णो॒ ऽसि तनूपा॒नः स॒योनिर् वीरो॒ वीरे॒ण म॒या ।
संवत्सर॒स्य ते॒जसा ते॒न बध्नामि त्वा मणे ॥८॥
parṇó 'si tanūpā́naḥ sáyonir vīró vīréṇa máyā |
saṃvatsarásya téjasā téna badhnāmi tvā maṇe ||8||
Ты, парна, защищающий тело,
Герой из одного лона со мной, героем.
Блеском года -
Им я привязываю тебя, амулет.
Thou, Parna, art my body's guard, man kin my birth to me a
man.
With splendour of the circling year I bind thee on me, Amulet!
Thou art the body-protecting parna, a 'liero, brother of me, the hero. Along with the brilliancy of the year do I fasten thee on, O amulet!
