पु॒मान् पुंसः॒ प॒रिजातो ऽश्वत्थः॒ खदिरा॒द् अ॒धि ।
स॒ हन्तु श॒त्रून् मामका॒न् या॒न् अहं॒ द्वे॒ष्मि ये॒ च मा॒म् ॥१॥

púmān puṃsáḥ párijāto 'śvattháḥ khadirā́d ádhi |
sá hantu śátrūn māmakā́n yā́n aháṃ dvéṣmi yé ca mā́m ||1||

Муж от мужа родился: Ашватгха - от кхадиры. Пусть убьет он врагов моих, Кого я ненавижу и кто - меня!

Masculine springs from masculine, Asvattha grows from Kha-
dira,
May it destroy mine enemies, who hate me and whom I detest.

A male has sprung from a male, the asvattha (ficus religiosa) from the khadira (acacia catechu). May this slay my enemies, those whom I hate and those who hate me!

avś_03.006.02.

ता॒न् अश्वत्थ निः॒ शृणीहि श॒त्रून् वैबाधदो॒धतः ।
इ॒न्द्रेण वृत्रघ्ना॒ मेदी॒ मित्रे॒ण व॒रुणेन च ॥२॥

tā́n aśvattha níḥ śr̥ṇīhi śátrūn vaibādhadódhataḥ |
índreṇa vr̥traghnā́ medī́ mitréṇa váruṇena ca ||2||

Раздави их, о ашватгха, Буйных врагов, о сокрушитель, Союзник Индры - убийцы Вритры, (Союзник) Митры и Варуны!

Crush down my foes, Asvattha! Rend, O Burster, those who
storm and rage,
With Indra, slayer of the fiends, with Mitra and with Varuna.

Crush the enemies, as they rush on, O asvattha, 'displacer,' allied with Indra, the slayer of Vritra, (allied) with Mitra and Varuxa!

avś_03.006.03.

य॒थाश्वत्थ निर॒भनो ऽन्त॒र् महत्य् अ॑र्णवे॒ ।
एवा॒ ता॒न्त् स॒र्वान् नि॒र् भङ्ग्धि या॒न् अहं॒ द्वे॒ष्मि ये॒ च मा॒म् ॥३॥

yáthāśvattha nirábhano 'ntár mahaty àrṇavé |
evā́ tā́nt sárvān nír bhaṅgdhi yā́n aháṃ dvéṣmi yé ca mā́m ||3||

Подобно тому, о ашваттха, как ты расщепил (кхадиру)
Внутри великого бурного потока,
Так расщепи ты всех тех, Кого я ненавижу и кто - меня!

As thou hast rent and torn apart, Asvattha! in the mighty sea,
So rend asundar all those men who hate me and whom I detest.

As thou didst break forth, O asvattha, into the great flood (of the air), thus do thou break up all those whom I hate and those who hate me!

avś_03.006.04.

यः॒ स॒हमानश् च॒रसि सासहान॒ इव ऋषभः॒ ।
ते॒नाश्वत्थ त्व॒या वयं॒ सप॒त्नान्त् सहिषीमहि ॥४॥

yáḥ sáhamānaś cárasi sāsahāná iva r̥ṣabháḥ |
ténāśvattha tváyā vayáṃ sapátnānt sahiṣīmahi ||4||

Ты, что бродишь, покоряя,
Как покоривший бык, -
С таким тобою, о ашваттха, Мы хотим покорить соперников.

Thou who like some victorious bull displayest thy surpassing
might,
With thee, with thee, Asvattha! we would overcome our
enemies.

Thou that goest conquering as a conquering bull, with thee here, O asvattha, may we conquer our rivals!

avś_03.006.05.

सिना॒त्व् एनान् नि॒रृतिर् मृत्योः॒ पा॒शैर् अमोक्यैः॒ ।
अ॒श्वत्थ श॒त्रून् मामका॒न् या॒न् अहं॒ द्वे॒ष्मि ये॒ च मा॒म् ॥५॥

sinā́tv enān nírr̥tir mr̥tyóḥ pā́śair amokyáiḥ |
áśvattha śátrūn māmakā́n yā́n aháṃ dvéṣmi yé ca mā́m ||5||

Да свяжет Гибель Нерасторжимыми узами смерти Тех врагов моих, о ашваттха, Кого я ненавижу и кто - меня!

Nirriti bind them with the bonds of Death which never may be
loosed.
Mine enemies, Asvattha! those who hate me and whom I
detest.

May Nirriti (the goddess of destruction), O asvattha, bind in the toils of death that cannot be loosened those enemies of mine whom I hate and who hate me!

avś_03.006.06.

य॒थाश्वत्थ वानस्पत्या॒न् आरो॒हन् कृणुषे॒ ऽधरान् ।
एवा॒ मे श॒त्रोर् मूर्धा॒नं वि॒ष्वग् भिन्द्धि स॒हस्व च ॥६॥

yáthāśvattha vānaspatyā́n āróhan kr̥ṇuṣé 'dharān |
evā́ me śátror mūrdhā́naṃ víṣvag bhinddhi sáhasva ca ||6||

Подобно тому как ты, о ашваттха, взбираясь По деревьям, подминаешь их под себя,
Так расколи на части голову Моего врага и осиль (его)!

As thou, Asvastha!, mountest on the trees and overthrowest
them,
So do thou break my foeman's head asunder and o'erpower
him.

As thou climbest up the trees, O asvattha, and renderest them subordinate, thus do thou split in two the head of iny enemy, and overcome him!

avś_03.006.07.

ते॒ ऽधरा॒ञ्चः प्र॒ प्लवन्तां छिन्ना॒ नौ॒र् इव ब॒न्धनात् ।
न॒ वैबाध॒प्रणुत्तानां पु॒नर् अस्ति निव॒र्तनम् ॥७॥

té 'dharā́ñcaḥ prá plavantāṃ chinnā́ náur iva bándhanāt |
ná vaibādhápraṇuttānāṃ púnar asti nivártanam ||7||

Да уплывут они вниз,
Как лодка, отделенная от причала.
Нет возврата тем,
Кого вытолкнул сокрушитель!

Let them drift downward like a boat torn from the rope that
fastened it.
There is no turning back for those whom He who Cleaves hath
driven away.

They (the enemies) shall float down like a ship cut loose from its moorings! There is no returning again for those that have been driven out by the 'displacer.'

avś_03.006.08.

प्रै॒णान् नुदे म॒नसा प्र॒ चित्ते॒नोत॒ ब्र॒ह्मणा ।
प्रै॒णान् वृक्ष॒स्य शा॒खयाश्वत्थ॒स्य नुदामहे ॥८॥

práiṇān nude mánasā prá citténotá bráhmaṇā |
práiṇān vr̥kṣásya śā́khayāśvatthásya nudāmahe ||8||

Я выталкиваю их
Мыслью, волей и заклинанием. Веткой дерева ашваттха Мы выталкиваем их.

With mental power I drive them forth, drive them with intellect
and charm.
We banish and expel them with the branch of an Asvattha tree.

I drive them out with my mind, drive them out with my thought, and also with my incantation. We drive them out with a branch of the asvattha-tree.
