karśáphasya viśaphásya dyáuḥ pitā́ pr̥thivī́ mātā́ |
yáthābhicakrá devā́s táthā́pa kr̥ṇutā púnaḥ ||1||

Heaven is the sire, the mother Earth, of Karsapha and Visapha.
As ye have brought them hither, Gods! so do ye move therm
hence away.

Of karsapha and visapha heaven is the father and earth the mother. As, ye gods, ye have brought on (the trouble), thus do ye again remove it!

The bands hold fast without a knot: this is the way that Manu-
used.
I make Vishkandha impotent as one emasculateth bulls.

Without fastening the), (the protecting plants?) held fast, thus it has been arranged by Manu. The vishkandha do I render impotent, like one who gelds cattle.

piśáṅge sū́tre khŕ̥galaṃ tád ā́ badhnanti vedhásaḥ |
śravasyúṃ śúṣmaṃ kābaváṃ vádhriṃ kr̥ṇvantu bandhúraḥ ||3||

Then to a tawny-coloured string the wise and skilful bind a
brush.
Let bandages make impotent the strong and active Kābava.

A talisman tied to a reddish thread the active (seers) then do fasten on: may the fastenings render impotent the eager, fiery kābava!

yénā śravasyavaś cáratha devā́ ivāsuramāyáyā |
śúnāṃ kapír iva dū́ṣaṇo bándhurā kābavásya ca ||4||

Ye who move active in your strength like Gods with Asuras'
magic powers,
Even as the monkey scorns the dogs, Bandages! scorn the
Kābava.

And since, O ye eager (demons), ye walk like gods by the wile of the Asuras, the fastening (of the amulet) is destructive to the kābava, as the ape to the dog.

dúṣṭyai hí tvā bhatsyā́mi dūṣayiṣyā́mi kābavám |
úd āśávo ráthā iva śapáthebhiḥ sariṣyatha ||5||

Yea, I will chide thee to thy shame, I will disgrace the Kābava.
Under our impracations ye, like rapid cars, shall pass away.

I revile thee, the kābava, unto misfortune, (and) shall work harm for thee. Accompanied with curses ye shall go out like swift chariots!

ékaśataṃ víṣkandhāni víṣṭhitā pr̥thivī́m ánu |
téṣāṃ tvā́m ágre új jaharur maṇíṃ viṣkandhadū́ṣaṇam ||6||

One and one hundred over earth are the Vishkandhas spread
abroad.
Before these have they fetched thee forth. Vishkandha quelling
Amulet.

A hundred and one vishkandha are spread out along the earth; for these at the beginning they brought out thee, the amulet, that destroys vishkandha.
