इ॒न्द्रम् अहं॒ वणि॒जं चोदयामि स॒ न ऐ॒तु पुरएता॒ नो अस्तु ।
नुद॒न्न् अ॒रातिं परिपन्थि॒नं मृगं॒ स॒ ई॒शानो धनदा॒ अस्तु म॒ह्यम् ॥१॥
índram aháṃ vaṇíjaṃ codayāmi sá na áitu puraetā́ no astu |
nudánn árātiṃ paripanthínaṃ mr̥gáṃ sá ī́śāno dhanadā́ astu máhyam ||1||
Индру-торговца я подгоняю.
Да придет он к нам! Да пойдет он впереди нас! Отталкивая Скупость - зверя, сидящего в засаде, Да будет он, владыка, дающим мне богатства!
I stir and animate the merchant Indra; may he approach and
be our guide and leader.
Chasing ill-will, wild beast, and highway robber, may he who
hath the power give me riches.
Indra, the merchant, do I summon: may he come to us, may he be our van; driving away the demon of grudge, the waylayers, and wild beasts, may he, the possessor, bestow wealth upon me!
avś_03.015.02.
ये॒ प॒न्थानो बह॒वो देवया॒ना अन्तरा॒ द्या॒वापृथिवी॒ संच॒रन्ति ।
ते॒ मा जुषन्तां प॒यसा घृते॒न य॒था क्रीत्वा॒ ध॒नम् आह॒राणि ॥२॥
yé pánthāno bahávo devayā́nā antarā́ dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ saṃcáranti |
té mā juṣantāṃ páyasā ghr̥téna yáthā krītvā́ dhánam āhárāṇi ||2||
Те многие пути, исхоженные богами, Что пролегают между небом и землей, - Да порадуют они меня молоком, жиром, Чтоб, закупив, я приобрел богатство!
The many paths which Gods are wont to travel, the paths which
go between the earth and heaven,
May they rejoice with me in milk and fatness that I may make
rich profit by my purchase.
May the many paths, the roads of the gods, which come together between heaven and earth, c,ladden me with milk and ghee, so that I may gather in wealth from my purchases!
avś_03.015.03.
इध्मे॒नाग्न इछ॒मानो घृते॒न जुहो॒मि हव्यं॒ त॒रसे ब॒लाय ।
या॒वद् ई॒शे ब्र॒ह्मणा व॒न्दमान इमां॒ धि॒यं शतसे॒याय देवी॒म् ॥३॥
idhménāgna ichámāno ghr̥téna juhómi havyáṃ tárase bálāya |
yā́vad ī́śe bráhmaṇā vándamāna imā́ṃ dhíyaṃ śataséyāya devī́m ||3||
О Агни, лелея желание, вместе с дровами и жиром Я возливаю жертву - для бодрости (и) силы. Насколько я способен, прославляя (тебя) молитвой,
(Я приношу тебе) эту божественную поэтическую мысль,
чтобы добыть сотни.
With fuel. Agni! and with butter, longing, mine offering I
present for strength and conquest;
With prayer, so far as I have strength, adoring—this holy hymn
to gain a hundred treasures.
Desirous do I, O Agni, with firewood and ghee offer oblations (to thee), for success and strength; according to ability praising (thee) with my prayer, do I sing this divine song, that I may gain a hundredfold!
avś_03.015.04.
इमा॒म् अग्ने शर॒णिं मीमृषो नो य॒म् अ॒ध्वानम् अ॒गाम दूर॒म् ।
शुनं॒ नो अस्तु प्रपणो॒ विक्र॒यश् च प्रतिपणः॒ फलि॒नं मा कृणोतु ।
इदं॒ हव्यं॒ संविदानौ॒ जुषेथां शुनं॒ नो अस्तु चरित॒म् उ॒त्थितं च ॥४॥
imā́m agne śaráṇiṃ mīmr̥ṣo no yám ádhvānam ágāma dūrám |
śunáṃ no astu prapaṇó vikráyaś ca pratipaṇáḥ phalínaṃ mā kr̥ṇotu |
idáṃ havyáṃ saṃvidānáu juṣethāṃ śunáṃ no astu caritám útthitaṃ ca ||4||
Не обращай внимания, о Агни, на это наше нарушение -
Долог путь, что мы прошли.
Удачной для нас да будет купля и продажа! Пусть оставит меня с прибылью обмен! Единодушные, наслаждайтесь вы двое нашей жертвой! Да будет удачным для нас странствие и появление!
Pardon this stubbornness of ours. O Agni, the distant pathway
which our feet have trodden.
Propitious unto us be sale and barter, may interchange of mer-
chandise enrich me.
Accept, ye twain, accordant, this libation! Prosperous be our
ventures and incomings.
(Pardon, O Agni, this sin of ours [incurred upon] the far road which we have travelled!) May our purchases and our sales be successful for us; may what I get in barter render me a gainer! May ye two (Indra and Agni) in accord take pleasure in this oblation! May our transactions and the accruing gain be auspicious to us!
avś_03.015.05.
ये॒न ध॒नेन प्रपणं॒ च॒रामि ध॒नेन देवा ध॒नम् इछ॒मानः ।
त॒न् मे भू॒यो भवतु मा॒ क॒नीयो॒ ऽग्ने सातघ्नो॒ देवा॒न् हवि॒षा नि॒ षेध ॥५॥
yéna dhánena prapaṇáṃ cárāmi dhánena devā dhánam ichámānaḥ |
tán me bhū́yo bhavatu mā́ kánīyó 'gne sātaghnó devā́n havíṣā ní ṣedha ||5||
(То) богатство, которым я веду торговлю,
Ища, о боги, богатством богатства, -
Да будет его у меня больше, а не меньше!
О Агни, за жертву прогони богов того, кто уничтожает добытое!
The wealth wherewith I carry on my traffic, seeking, ye Gods!
wealth with the wealth I offer,
May this grow more for me, not less: O Agni, through sacrifice
chase those who hinder profit!
The wealth with which I go to purchase, desiring, ye gods, to gain wealth through wealth, may that grow more, not less! Drive away, O Agni, in return for the oblation, the gods who shut off gain!
avś_03.015.06.
ये॒न ध॒नेन प्रपणं॒ च॒रामि ध॒नेन देवा ध॒नम् इछ॒मानः ।
त॒स्मिन् म इ॒न्द्रो रु॒चिम् आ॒ दधातु प्रजा॒पतिः सविता॒ सो॒मो अग्निः॒ ॥६॥
yéna dhánena prapaṇáṃ cárāmi dhánena devā dhánam ichámānaḥ |
tásmin ma índro rúcim ā́ dadhātu prajā́patiḥ savitā́ sómo agníḥ ||6||
(То) богатство, которым я веду торговлю,
Ища, о боги, богатством богатства, -
Да вложит в него Индра блеск для меня,
(А также) Праджапати, Савитар, Сома, Агни!
The wealth wherewith I carry on my traffic, seeking, ye Gods!
wealth with the wealth I offer,
Herein may Indra, Savitar, and Soma, Prajāpati, and Agni give
me splendour.
The wealth with which I go to purchase, desiring, ye gods, to gain wealth through wealth, may Indra, Pragāpati, Savitar, Soma, Agni, place lustre into it for me!
avś_03.015.07.
उ॒प त्वा न॒मसा वयं॒ हो॒तर् वैश्वानर स्तुमः॒ ।
स॒ नः प्रजा॒स्व् आत्म॒सु गो॒षु प्राणे॒षु जागृहि ॥७॥
úpa tvā námasā vayáṃ hótar vaiśvānara stumáḥ |
sá naḥ prajā́sv ātmásu góṣu prāṇéṣu jāgr̥hi ||7||
Тебя, о жрец Вайшванара,
Мы восхваляем с поклонением.
Заботься о нашем потомстве,
О нас самих, о коровах, о дыхании (нашем)!
With reverence we sign thy praise, O Hotar-priest Vaisvānara.
Over our children keep thou watch, over our bodies, kine, and
lives.
We praise with reverence thee, O priest (Agni) Vaisvdnara. Do thou over our children, selves, cattle, and life's breath watch!
avś_03.015.08.
विश्वा॒हा ते स॒दम् इ॒द् भरेमा॒श्वायेव ति॒ष्ठते जातवेदः ।
राय॒स् पो॒षेण स॒म् इषा॒ म॒दन्तो मा॒ ते अग्ने प्र॒तिवेशा रिषाम ॥८॥
viśvā́hā te sádam íd bharemā́śvāyeva tíṣṭhate jātavedaḥ |
rāyás póṣeṇa sám iṣā́ mádanto mā́ te agne prátiveśā riṣāma ||8||
Да будем мы тебе приносить (пищу) каждый день, постоянно,
Как коню, стоящему (в стойле), о Джатаведас,
Радуясь вместе процветанию имущества и изобилию! О Агни, да не потерпим ущерба мы, твои соседи!
Still to thee ever will we bring oblation, as to a stabled horse, O
Jātavedas.
Joying in food and in the growth of riches may we thy servants,
Agni, never suffer.
Daily, never failing, shall we bring (oblations to thee), O Gātavedas, (as if fodder) to a horse standing (in the stable). In growth of wealth and nutriment rejoicing, may we, O Agni, thy neighbours, not take harm!
