avś_04.007.01.
वा॒र् इद॒म् वारयातै वरणा॒वत्याम् अ॒धि ।
त॒त्रामृ॒तस्या॒सिक्तं ते॒ना ते वारये विष॒म् ॥१॥
vā́r idám vārayātai varaṇā́vatyām ádhi |
tátrāmŕ̥tasyā́siktaṃ ténā te vāraye viṣám ||1||
Вода эта отведет (беду)
На Варанавати.
Там - возлияние напитка бессмертия. Им я выведу яд из тебя.
So may this water guard us on the bank of Varanāvati.
Therein hath Amrit been infused: with that I ward thy poison
off.
This water (vār) in the (river) Varanāvatī shall ward off (vārayātai)! Amrita (ambrosia) has been poured into it: with that do I ward off (vāraye) poison from thee.
avś_04.007.02.
अरसं॒ प्राच्यं॑ विष॒म् अरसं॒ य॒द् उदीच्य॑म् ।
अ॒थेद॒म् अधराच्यं॑ करम्भे॒ण वि॒ कल्पते ॥२॥
arasáṃ prācyàṃ viṣám arasáṃ yád udīcyàm |
áthedám adharācyàṃ karambhéṇa ví kalpate ||2||
Лишен сока восточный яд, Лишен сока, который северный. Также этот южный Заменяется кашей.
Weak is the poison of the East, weak is the poison of the North,
So too this poison of the South counts as a cake of curds and
meal.
Powerless is the poison from the east, powerless that from the north. Moreover the poison from the south transforms itself into a porridge.
avś_04.007.03.
करम्भं॒ कृत्वा॒ तिर्यं॑ पीबस्पाक॒म् उदारथि॒म् ।
क्षुधा॒ कि॒ल त्वा दुष्टनो जक्षिवा॒न्त् स॒ न॒ रूरुपः ॥३॥
karambháṃ kr̥tvā́ tiryàṃ pībaspākám udārathím |
kṣudhā́ kíla tvā duṣṭano jakṣivā́nt sá ná rūrupaḥ ||3||
Сделав кашу из зерен сезама, Жирную, дымящуюся,
Ты не погубишь (его), о уродливотелый, - Ведь он съел тебя с голоду!
When he hath made of thee a cake, broad, steaming, swelling up
with fat,
And even in hunger eaten thee, then gripe him not, thou hideous
one!
Having made thee (the poison) that comes from a horizontal direction into a porridge, rich in fat, and cheering, from sheer hunger he has eaten thee, that hast an evil body: do thou not cause injury!
avś_04.007.04.
वि॒ ते म॒दं मदावति शर॒म् इव पातयामसि ।
प्र॒ त्वा चरु॒म् इव ये॒षन्तं व॒चसा स्थापयामसि ॥४॥
ví te mádaṃ madāvati śarám iva pātayāmasi |
prá tvā carúm iva yéṣantaṃ vácasā sthāpayāmasi ||4||
Прочь мы заставляем улететь как стрелу
Твой дурман, о дурманящая (трава)!
Как бурлящий котел (с огня),
Мы снимаем тебя с помощью заговора.
Intoxicater! like a shaft we make thy spirit fly away, Like a pot
boiling on the fire, we with our word remove thee hence.
Thy bewildering quality (madam), O (plant?) that art bewildering (madivati), we cause to fall like a reed. As a boiling pot of porridge do we remove thee by (our) charm.
avś_04.007.05.
प॒रि ग्रा॒मम् इवा॒चितं व॒चसा स्थापयामसि ।
ति॒ष्ठा वृक्ष॒ इव स्था॒म्न्य् अ॒भ्रिखाते न॒ रूरुपः ॥५॥
pári grā́mam ivā́citaṃ vácasā sthāpayāmasi |
tíṣṭhā vr̥kṣá iva sthā́mny ábhrikhāte ná rūrupaḥ ||5||
Речью мы устанавливаем вокруг (тебя)
Словно собравшийся отряд.
Стой как дерево на (своем) месте!
О вырытая мотыгой (трава), ты не погубишь (его)!
We set around thee with the spell as 'twere a gathered arma-
ment.
Stay quiet like a rooted tree. Dug up with mattocks, gripe not
thou.
(Thee, O poison) that art, as it were, heaped about the village, do we cause to stand still by (our) charm. Stand still as a tree upon its place; do not, thou that hast been dug with the spade, cause injury!
avś_04.007.06.
पव॒स्तैस् त्वा प॒र्य् अक्रीणन् दूर्शे॒भिर् अजि॒नैर् उत॒ ।
प्रक्री॒र् असि त्व॒म् ओषधे॒ ऽभ्रिखाते न॒ रूरुपः ॥६॥
pavástais tvā páry akrīṇan dūrśébhir ajínair utá |
prakrī́r asi tvám oṣadhé 'bhrikhāte ná rūrupaḥ ||6||
Тебя выменяли за покрывала,
За одежды и за шкуры.
Ты продажна, о трава!
О вырытая мотыгой, ты не погубишь (его)!
For coverings men have bartered thee, for skins of deer and
woven cloths.
Thou art a thing of sale, O Plant. Dug up with mattocks, gripe
not thou!
With broom-straw (?), garments, and also with skins they purchased thee: a thing for barter art thou, O plant! Do not, thou that hast been dug with the spade, cause injury!
avś_04.007.07.
अ॒नाप्ता ये॒ वः प्रथमा॒ या॒नि क॒र्माणि चक्रिरे॒ ।
वीरा॒न् नो अ॒त्र मा॒ दभन् त॒द् व एत॒त् पुरो॒ दधे ॥७॥
ánāptā yé vaḥ prathamā́ yā́ni kármāṇi cakriré |
vīrā́n no átra mā́ dabhan tád va etát puró dadhe ||7||
Кто из вас совершил те первые
Деяния, которых не достигнуть,
Пусть не вредят они тут нашим мужам!
Для этого я выставляю вас вперед!
None have attained to those of old, those who wrought holy acts
for you.
Let them not harm our heroes here. Therefore I set before you
this.
Those of you who were of yore unequalled in the deeds which they performed-may the), not injure here our men: for this very purpose do I engage you!
