ए॒हि जीवं॒ त्रा॒यमाणं प॒र्वतस्यास्य् अ॒क्ष्यम् ।
वि॒श्वेभिर् देवै॒र् दत्तं॒ परिधि॒र् जी॒वनाय क॒म् ॥१॥

éhi jīváṃ trā́yamāṇaṃ párvatasyāsy ákṣyam |
víśvebhir deváir dattáṃ paridhír jī́vanāya kám ||1||

Иди (сюда)! Ты, спасающая (всё) живое,
Глазная (?) (мазь) с горы,
Данная всеми богами Как ограда для жизни.

Approach! thou art the mountain's eye, the living thing that
saveth us;
A gift bestowed by all the Gods, yea, the defence that guardeth
life.

Come hither! Thou art the living, protecting eye-ointment of the mountain, given by all the gods as a safeguard, unto life.

avś_04.009.02.

परिपा॒णं पु॒रुषाणां परिपा॒णं ग॒वां असि ।
अ॒श्वानाम् अ॒र्वताम् परिपा॒णाय तस्थिषे ॥२॥

paripā́ṇaṃ púruṣāṇāṃ paripā́ṇaṃ gávāṃ asi |
áśvānām árvatām paripā́ṇāya tasthiṣe ||2||

Ты защита для мужей, Защита для коров. Ты стояла на защите Скаковых коней.

Thou art the safeguard of the men, thou art the safeguard of
the kine,
Thou standest ready to protect the horses that are fleet of foot.

Thou art a protection for men, a protection for cattle, thou didst stand for the protection of horses and steeds.

avś_04.009.03.

उता॒सि परिपा॒णम् यातुज॒म्भनम् आञ्जन ।
उता॒मृ॒तस्य त्वं॒ वेत्था॒थो असि जीवभो॒जनम् अ॒थो हरितभेषज॒म् ॥३॥

utā́si paripā́ṇam yātujámbhanam āñjana |
utā́mŕ̥tasya tváṃ vetthā́tho asi jīvabhójanam átho haritabheṣajám ||3||

А также ты защита, Загрызающая колдунов, о мазь,
И (в то же время) ты знаешь бессмертие. Ты отрада для живых И средство от желтухи.

Thou, also, Salve! art a defence that rends and crushes
sorcerers.
Thou knowest, too, of Amrit, thou art the delight of all who
live, a jaundice-curing balm art thou.

Thou art, O salve, both a protection that crushes the sorcerers, and thou hast knowledge of immortality (amrita). Moreover, thou art food for the living, and thou art, too, a remedy aorainst jaundice.

avś_04.009.04.

य॒स्याञ्जन प्रस॒र्पस्य् अ॒ङ्गमङ्गम् प॒रुष्परुः ।
त॒तो य॒क्ष्मं वि॒ बाधस उग्रो॒ मध्यमशी॒र् इव ॥४॥

yásyāñjana prasárpasy áṅgamaṅgam páruṣparuḥ |
táto yákṣmaṃ ví bādhasa ugró madhyamaśī́r iva ||4||

У кого, о мазь, ты проползаешь
Из члена в член, из сустава в сустав,
Из того ты выгоняешь якшму,
Словно грозный (царь), находящийся посреди (воюющих).

Whomso thou creepest over, Salve! member by member, joint
by joint,
From him, like some strong arbiter of strife, thou banishest
decline.

From him over whose every limb and every joint thou passest, O salve, thou dost, as a mighty intercepter, drive away disease.

avś_04.009.05.

नै॒नं प्रा॒प्नोति शप॒थो न॒ कृत्या॒ ना॒भिशो॒चनम् ।
नै॒नं वि॒ष्कन्धम् अश्नुते य॒स् त्वा बि॒भर्त्य् आञ्जन ॥५॥

náinaṃ prā́pnoti śapátho ná kr̥tyā́ nā́bhiśócanam |
náinaṃ víṣkandham aśnute yás tvā bíbharty āñjana ||5||

Не достанет его ни проклятие, Ни колдовство, ни мучение, Не настигнет его вишкандха - (Того), кто носит тебя, о мазь.

No imprecation reaches him, no magic, no tormenting fiend,
O Salve, Vishkandha seizes not the man who carries thee about.

Him that bears thee, O salve, neither curse, nor sorcery, nor burning pain does reach; nor does the,vishkandha come upon him.

avś_04.009.06.

असन्मन्त्रा॒द् दुष्व॒प्न्याद् दुष्कृता॒च् छ॒मलाद् उत॒ ।
दुर्हा॒र्दश् च॒क्षुषो घोरा॒त् त॒स्मान् नः पाह्य् आञ्जन ॥६॥

asanmantrā́d duṣvápnyād duṣkr̥tā́c chámalād utá |
durhā́rdaś cákṣuṣo ghorā́t tásmān naḥ pāhy āñjana ||6||

От неправедного заклинания, от дурного сна, От злодеяния, а также от осквернения,
От грозного взгляда недоброжелателя - От (всего) этого защити нас, о мазь!

From lying speech, from evil dream, from wicked act and
sinfulness,
From hostile and malignant eye,—from these, O Salve, protect
us well.

From evil scheme, from troubled dream, from evil deed, and also from foulness.; from the evil eye of the enemy, from this protect us, O salve!

avś_04.009.07.

इदं॒ विद्वा॒न् आञ्जन सत्यं॒ वक्ष्यामि ना॒नृतम् ।
सने॒यम् अ॒श्वं गा॒म् अह॒म् आत्मा॒नं त॒व पूरुष ॥७॥

idáṃ vidvā́n āñjana satyáṃ vakṣyāmi nā́nr̥tam |
sanéyam áśvaṃ gā́m ahám ātmā́naṃ táva pūruṣa ||7||

Зная это, о мазь, истину
Я провозглашу, не ложь:
Я хочу добыть коня, корову
(И) твой жизненный дух, о человек!

I, knowing this, O Salve, will speak the very truth and not a
lie:
May I obtain both horse and ox, may I obtain thy life, O man.

Knowing this, O salve, I shall speak the truth, avoid falsehood. May I obtain horses and cattle, and thy person, O serving-man!

avś_04.009.08.

त्र॒यो दासा॒ आ॒ञ्जनस्य तक्मा॒ बला॒स आ॒द् अ॒हिः ।
व॒र्षिष्ठः प॒र्वतानां त्रिककु॒न् ना॒म ते पिता॒ ॥८॥

tráyo dāsā́ ā́ñjanasya takmā́ balā́sa ā́d áhiḥ |
várṣiṣṭhaḥ párvatānāṃ trikakún nā́ma te pitā́ ||8||

Трое слуг (есть) у мази:
Такман, баласа и змея.
Самая высокая из гор
По имени Трикакуд - твой отец.

Three are the slaves that serve the Salve, Fever, Consumption,
and the Snake.
Thy father is the loftiest of mountains, named the Triple-
peaked.

Three are servants of the salve: the takman (fever), the balāsa, and the serpent. The highest of the mountains, Trikakud ('Three-peaks') by name, is thy father.

avś_04.009.09.

य॒द् आ॒ञ्जनं त्रैककुद॒म् जातं॒ हिम॒वतस् प॒रि ।
यातूं॒श् च स॒र्वाञ् जम्भ॒यत् स॒र्वाश् च यातुधान्यः॑ ॥९॥

yád ā́ñjanaṃ traikakudám jātáṃ himávatas pári |
yātū́ṃś ca sárvāñ jambháyat sárvāś ca yātudhānyàḥ ||9||

Та мазь, происходящая с Трикакуда,
Что рождена на Гималаях,
Да загрызет она всех колдунов И всех колдуний!

Sprung from the Snowy Mountain's side, this Ointment of the
Three-peaked hill.
Crushes and rends all sorcerers and every witch and sorceress.

Since the salve of Trikakud is born upon the Himavant, it shall demolish all the wizards and all the witches.

avś_04.009.10.

य॒दि वा॒सि त्रैककुदं॒ य॒दि यामुन॒म् उच्य॒से ।
उभे॒ ते भद्रे॒ ना॒म्नी ता॒भ्यां नः पाह्य् आञ्जन ॥१०॥

yádi vā́si traikakudáṃ yádi yāmunám ucyáse |
ubhé te bhadré nā́mnī tā́bhyāṃ naḥ pāhy āñjana ||10||

Если ты - происходящая с Трикакуда, Если ты зовешься происходящей от Ямуны, Оба твоих имени прекрасны. Этими двумя именами защити нас, о мазь!

If thou art from the Three-peaked hill or hast thy name from
Yamunā,
These names are both auspicious: by these two protect thou us,
O Salve!

Whether thou art derived from the (mountain) Trikakud, or art said to come from the (river) Yamunā, both these names of thine are auspicious: with these, O salve, protect us!
