आ॒ पश्यति प्र॒ति पश्यति प॒रा पश्यति प॒श्यति ।
दि॒वम् अन्त॒रिक्षम् आ॒द् भू॒मिं स॒र्वं त॒द् देवि पश्यति ॥१॥

ā́ paśyati práti paśyati párā paśyati páśyati |
dívam antárikṣam ā́d bhū́miṃ sárvaṃ tád devi paśyati ||1||

Смотрит рядом, смотрит вокруг,
Смотрит вдаль, смотрит...
На небо, на воздух и затем на землю - На всё это смотрит, о богиня.

It sees in front, it sees behind, it sees afar away, it sees
The sky, the firmament, and earth: all this, O Goddess, it
beholds.

He sees here, he sees yonder, he sees in the distance, he sees — the sky, the atmosphere as well as the earth, all that, O goddess, he sees.

avś_04.020.02.

तिस्रो॒ दि॒वस् तिस्रः॒ पृथिवीः॒ ष॒ट् चेमाः॒ प्रदि॒शाः पृ॒थक् ।
त्व॒याहं॒ स॒र्वा भूता॒नि प॒श्यानि देव्य् ओषधे ॥२॥

tisró dívas tisráḥ pr̥thivī́ḥ ṣáṭ cemā́ḥ pradíśāḥ pŕ̥thak |
tváyāháṃ sárvā bhūtā́ni páśyāni devy oṣadhe ||2||

Три неба, три земли
И шесть этих сторон света по отдельности -
Все существа пусть увижу я
С твоей помощью, о трава-богиня!

Through thee, O godlike Plant, may I behold all creatures that
exist,
Three several heavens, three several earths, and these six regions
one by one.

The three heavens, the three earths, and these six directions severally; all creatures may I see through thee, O divine plant!

avś_04.020.03.

दिव्य॒स्य सुपर्ण॒स्य त॒स्य हासि कनी॒निका ।
सा॒ भू॒मिम् आ॒ रुरोहिथ वह्यं॒ श्रान्ता॒ वधू॒र् इव ॥३॥

divyásya suparṇásya tásya hāsi kanī́nikā |
sā́ bhū́mim ā́ rurohitha vahyáṃ śrāntā́ vadhū́r iva ||3||

Ведь ты зеница
Этого небесного орла.
Ты взошла на землю,
Как усталая невеста - на носилки.

The pupil, verily, art thou of that celestial Engle's eye.
On earth hast thou alighted as a weary woman seeks her couch.

Thou art verily the eyeball of the divine eagle; thou didst ascend the earth as a weary woman a palanquin.

avś_04.020.04.

तां॒ मे सहस्राक्षो॒ देवो॒ द॒क्षिणे ह॒स्त आ॒ दधत् ।
त॒याहं॒ स॒र्वं पश्यामि य॒श् च शूद्र॒ उता॒र्यः ॥४॥

tā́ṃ me sahasrākṣó devó dákṣiṇe hásta ā́ dadhat |
táyāháṃ sárvaṃ paśyāmi yáś ca śūdrá utā́ryaḥ ||4||

Тысячеглазый бог вложит
Мне ее в правую руку.
С ее помощью я вижу всё: И кто шудра, и кто арья.

The God who hath a thousand eyes give me this Plant in my
right hand!
I look on every one therewith, each Sūdra and each Āryan man.

The thousand-eyed god shall put this plant into my right hand: with that do I see every one, the Sūdra as well as the Ārya.

avś_04.020.05.

आवि॒ष् कृणुष्व रूपा॒नि मा॒त्मा॒नम् अ॒प गूहथाः ।
अ॒थो सहस्रचक्षो त्वं॒ प्र॒ति पश्याः किमीदि॒नः ॥५॥

āvíṣ kr̥ṇuṣva rūpā́ni mā́tmā́nam ápa gūhathāḥ |
átho sahasracakṣo tváṃ práti paśyāḥ kimīdínaḥ ||5||

Прояви (свои) формы!
Не прячь себя!
Тогда, тысячеглазая, ты
Сможешь встретить взглядом кимидинов.

Make manifest the forms of things; hide not their essences from
sight.
And, thou who hast a thousand eyes, look the Kimidins in the
face.

Reveal (all) forms, do not hide thy own self; moreover, do thou, O thousand-eyed (plant), look the Kimīdins in the face!

avś_04.020.06.

दर्श॒य मा यातुधा॒नान् दर्श॒य यातुधान्यः॑ ।
पिशाचा॒न्त् स॒र्वान् दर्शये॒ति त्वा॒ रभ ओषधे ॥६॥

darśáya mā yātudhā́nān darśáya yātudhānyàḥ |
piśācā́nt sárvān darśayéti tvā́ rabha oṣadhe ||6||

Покажи мне колдунов!
Покажи колдуний!
Покажи всех пишачей!
Для этого я беру тебя, о трава.

Make me see Yātudhānas, make thou Yātudhānis visible.
Make me see all Pisāchas With this prayer, O Plant, I hold thee
fast.

Reveal to me the wizards, and reveal the witches, reveal all the Pisākas: for this purpose do I take hold of thee, O plant!

avś_04.020.07.

कश्य॒पस्य च॒क्षुर् असि शुन्या॒श् च चतुरक्ष्याः॒ ।
वीध्रे॒ सू॒र्यम् इव स॒र्पन्तं मा॒ पिशाचं॒ तिर॒स् करः ॥७॥

kaśyápasya cákṣur asi śunyā́ś ca caturakṣyā́ḥ |
vīdhré sū́ryam iva sárpantaṃ mā́ piśācáṃ tirás karaḥ ||7||

Ты глаз Кашьяпы
И четырехглазой суки.
Как солнце, скользящее по ясному небу,
Не скрывай пишачу!

Thou art the sight of Kasyapa and of the hound who hath four
eyes.
Make the Pisācha manifest as Sūrya when he rides at noon.

Thou art the eye of Kasyapa, and the eye of the four-eyed bitch. Like the sun, moving in the bright day, make thou the Pisāka evident to me!

avś_04.020.08.

उ॒द् अग्रभं परिपा॒णाद् यातुधा॒नं किमीदि॒नम् ।
ते॒नाहं॒ स॒र्वं पश्याम्य् उत॒ शूद्र॒म् उता॒र्यम् ॥८॥

úd agrabhaṃ paripā́ṇād yātudhā́naṃ kimīdínam |
ténāháṃ sárvaṃ paśyāmy utá śūdrám utā́ryam ||8||

Я выхватил из убежища
Колдуна, кимидина.
Благодаря этому (заклинанию) я вижу всё: И шудру, и арью.

Kimidin, Yātudhāna from their hiding-places have I dragged.
I look on every one with this, Sūdra and Aryan man alike.

I have dragged out from his retreat the sorcerer and the Kimīdin. Through this (charm) do I see every one, the Sūdra as well as the Ārya.

avś_04.020.09.

यो॒ अन्त॒रिक्षेण प॒तति दि॒वम् य॒श् च अतिस॒र्पति ।
भू॒मिं यो॒ म॒न्यते नाथं॒ तं॒ पिशाच॒म् प्र॒ दर्शय ॥९॥

yó antárikṣeṇa pátati dívam yáś ca atisárpati |
bhū́miṃ yó mányate nātháṃ táṃ piśācám prá darśaya ||9||

Кто летает по воздуху
И кто скользит по небу,
Кто считает землю защитой - Укажи мне этого пишачу!

Make that Pisācha visible, the fiend who flies in middle air,
The fiend who glides across the sky, and him who deems the
earth his help.

Him that flies in the air, him that moves across the sky, him that regards the earth as his resort, that Pisāka do thou reveal (to me)!
