यो॒ गिरि॒ष्व् अ॒जायथा वीरु॒धां ब॒लवत्तमः ।
कु॒ष्ठे॒हि तक्मनाशन तक्मा॒नं नाश॒यन्न् इतः॒ ॥१॥

yó giríṣv ájāyathā vīrúdhāṃ bálavattamaḥ |
kúṣṭhéhi takmanāśana takmā́naṃ nāśáyann itáḥ ||1||

Ты, что родилась в горах,
Сильнейшее из растений -
О куштха, изгонительница лихорадки, приди, Изгоняя отсюда лихорадку!

Thou who wast born on mountains, thou most mighty of all
plants that grow.
Thou Banisher of Fever, come, Kushtha! make Fever pass
away.

Thou that art born upon the mountains, as the most potent of plants, come hither, O kushtha, destroyer of the takman, to drive out from here the takman!

avś_05.004.02.

सुपर्णसु॒वने गिरौ॒ जातं॒ हिम॒वतस् प॒रि ।
ध॒नैर् अभि॒ श्रुत्वा॒ यन्ति विदु॒र् हि॒ तक्मना॒शनम् ॥२॥

suparṇasúvane giráu jātáṃ himávatas pári |
dhánair abhí śrutvā́ yanti vidúr hí takmanā́śanam ||2||

На горе, где гнездятся орлы,
Рождена (куштха). Со снежной (горы она происходит). Прослышав (о ней), они идут (к ней) с богатствами - Ведь они знают (ее как) изгонительницу лихорадки.

Brought from the Snowy Mountain, born on the high hill where
eagles breed,
Men seek to buy thee when they hear: for Fever's Banisher
they know.

To thee (that growest) upon the mountain, the brooding-place of the eagle, (and) art sprung from Himavant, they come with treasures, having heard (thy fame). For they know (thee to be) the destroyer of the takman.

avś_05.004.03.

अश्वत्थो॒ देवस॒दनस् तृती॒यस्याम् इतो॒ दिवि॒ ।
त॒त्रामृ॒तस्य च॒क्षणं देवाः॒ कु॒ष्ठम् अवन्वत ॥३॥

aśvatthó devasádanas tr̥tī́yasyām itó diví |
tátrāmŕ̥tasya cákṣaṇaṃ devā́ḥ kúṣṭham avanvata ||3||

Ашваттха - место пребывания богов,
На третьем небе отсюда.
Там боги достали куштху - Проявление бессмертия.

In the third heaven above us stands the Asvattha tree, the seat
of Gods.
There the Gods sought the Kushtha Plant, embodiment of end-
less life.

The asvattha-tree is the seat of the gods in the third heaven from here. There the gods procured the kushtha, the visible manifestation of amrita (ambrosia).

avś_05.004.04.

हिरण्य॒यी नौ॒र् अचरद् धि॒रण्यबन्धना दिवि॒ ।
त॒त्रामृ॒तस्य पु॒ष्पं देवाः॒ कु॒ष्ठम् अवन्वत ॥४॥

hiraṇyáyī náur acarad dhíraṇyabandhanā diví |
tátrāmŕ̥tasya púṣpaṃ devā́ḥ kúṣṭham avanvata ||4||

Золотой корабль двигался, Золотые снасти - по небу. Там боги достали куштху - Цветок бессмертия.

There moved through heaven a golden ship, a ship with cordage
wrought of Gold.
There the Gods won the Kushtha Plant, the blossom of eternal
life.

A golden ship with golden tackle moved upon the heavens. There the gods procured the kushtha, the flower of amrita (ambrosia).

avś_05.004.05.

हिरण्य॒याः प॒न्थान आसन्न् अ॒रित्राणि हिरण्य॒या ।
ना॒वो हिरण्य॒यीर् आसन् या॒भिः कु॒ष्ठं निरा॒वहन् ॥५॥

hiraṇyáyāḥ pánthāna āsann áritrāṇi hiraṇyáyā |
nā́vo hiraṇyáyīr āsan yā́bhiḥ kúṣṭhaṃ nirā́vahan ||5||

Золотые пути были, Весла золотые, Корабли золотые были,
На которых куштху вывозили,

They sailed on pathways paved with gold, the oars they piled
were wrought of gold:
All golden were the ships wherein they carried Kushtha down
to earth.

The paths were golden, and golden were the oars; golden were the ships, upon which they carried forth the kushtha hither (to the mountain).

avś_05.004.06.

इमं॒ मे कुष्ठ पू॒रुषं त॒म् आ॒ वह तं॒ नि॒ष् कुरु ।
त॒म् उ मे अगदं॒ कृधि ॥६॥

imáṃ me kuṣṭha pū́ruṣaṃ tám ā́ vaha táṃ níṣ kuru |
tám u me agadáṃ kr̥dhi ||6||

Этого моего человека, о куштха,
Привези его, исцели его,
Сделай мне его здоровым!

O Kushtha, bring thou hitherward this man of mine, restore his
health,
Yes, free him from disease for me.

This person here, O kushtha, restore for me, and cure him! Render him free from sickness for me!

avś_05.004.07.

देवे॒भ्यो अ॒धि जातो॒ ऽसि सो॒मस्यासि स॒खा हितः॒ ।
स॒ प्राणा॒य व्याना॒य च॒क्षुषे मे अस्मै॒ मृड ॥७॥

devébhyo ádhi jātó 'si sómasyāsi sákhā hitáḥ |
sá prāṇā́ya vyānā́ya cákṣuṣe me asmái mr̥ḍa ||7||

От богов ты рождена,
Соме определена в товарищи. Будь милостива к вдоху-выдоху (И) к этому зрению моему!

Thou art descended from thee Gods, Soma's benignant friend
art thou,
Befriend my breath and vital air be gracious unto this mine eye.

Thou art born of the gods, thou art Soma's good friend. Be thou propitious to my in-breathing and my out-breathing, and to this eye of mine!

avś_05.004.08.

उ॒दङ् जातो॒ हिम॒वतः स॒ प्राच्यां॒ नीयसे ज॒नम् ।
त॒त्र कु॒ष्ठस्य ना॒मान्य् उत्तमा॒नि वि॒ भेजिरे ॥८॥

údaṅ jātó himávataḥ sá prācyā́ṃ nīyase jánam |
tátra kúṣṭhasya nā́māny uttamā́ni ví bhejire ||8||

Ты рождена на севере, со снежной (горы),
На восток тебя отправляют к людям.
Там они распределили
Высшие имена куштхи.

Sprung, northward, from the Snowy Hill thou art conveyed to
eastern men.
There they deal out among themselves Kushtha's most noble
qualities.

Sprung in the north from the Himavant (mountains), thou art brought to the people in the east. There the most stiperior varieties of the kushtha were apportioned.

avś_05.004.09.

उत्तमो॒ ना॒म कुष्ठस्य् उत्तमो॒ ना॒म ते पिता॒ ।
य॒क्ष्मं च स॒र्वं नाश॒य तक्मा॒नं चारसं॒ कृधि ॥९॥

uttamó nā́ma kuṣṭhasy uttamó nā́ma te pitā́ |
yákṣmaṃ ca sárvaṃ nāśáya takmā́naṃ cārasáṃ kr̥dhi ||9||

Высшая по имени ты, куштха,
Высший по имени твой отец.
И якшму всю ты изгони,
И лихорадку сделай лишенной сока!

Most excellent, indeed, art thou, Kushtha! most noble is thy
sire.
Make all Consumption pass away and render Fever powerless.

'Superior,' O kushtha, is thy name; 'superior' is the name of thy father. Do thou drive out all disease, and render the takman devoid of strength!

avś_05.004.10.

शीर्षामय॒म् उपहत्या॒म् अक्ष्यो॒स् तन्वो॑ र॒पः ।
कु॒ष्ठस् त॒त् स॒र्वं नि॒ष् करद् दै॒वं समह वृ॒ष्ण्यम् ॥१०॥

śīrṣāmayám upahatyā́m akṣyós tanvò rápaḥ |
kúṣṭhas tát sárvaṃ níṣ karad dáivaṃ samaha vŕ̥ṣṇyam ||10||

Болезнь головы, повреждение Глаз, недуг тела - Всё это пусть куштха исцелит, Поистине божественная мощь!

Malady that affects the head, eye-weakness, bodily defect—
All this let Kushtha heal and cure: aye, godlike is the vigorous
power.

Pain in the head, affliction in the eye, and ailment of the body, all that shall the kushtha heal-a divinely powerful (remedy), forsooth!
