रा॒त्री माता॒ न॒भः पिता॒र्यमा॒ ते पितामहः॒ ।
सिलाची॒ ना॒म वा॒ असि सा॒ देवा॒नाम् असि स्व॒सा ॥१॥

rā́trī mātā́ nábhaḥ pitā́ryamā́ te pitāmaháḥ |
silācī́ nā́ma vā́ asi sā́ devā́nām asi svásā ||1||

Ночь - (твоя) мать, туман - отец,
Арьяман - твой дед.
Ведь ты же по имени Силачи, Ты сестра богов.

Aryaman is thy grandsire, Night thy mother, and the Cloud thy
sire.
Thy name is called Silāchi. Thou, thyself, art sister of the Gods.

The night is thy mother, the cloud thy father, Aryaman thy grandfather. Silākī, forsooth, is thy name, thou art the sister of the gods.

य॒स् त्वा पि॒बति जी॒वति त्रा॒यसे पु॒रुषं त्व॒म् ।
भर्त्री॒ हि॒ श॒श्वताम् अ॒सि ज॒नानां च न्य॒ञ्चनी ॥२॥

yás tvā píbati jī́vati trā́yase púruṣaṃ tvám |
bhartrī́ hí śáśvatām ási jánānāṃ ca nyáñcanī ||2||

Кто тебя пьет - живет.
Ты спасаешь человека.
Ты ведь поддержка повторяющихся (поколений) И укрытие для людей.

Whoever drinketh thee hath life: thou savest and protectest
man.
As nursing mother of mankind, thou takest all upon thy lap.

He that drinks thee lives; (that) person thou dost preserve. For thou art the supporter of all successive (generations), the refuge of men.

avś_05.005.03.

वृक्षं॒वृक्षम् आ॒ रोहसि वृषण्य॒न्तीव कन्य॒ला ।
ज॒यन्ती प्रत्याति॒ष्ठन्ती स्प॒रणी ना॒म वा॒ असि ॥३॥

vr̥kṣáṃvr̥kṣam ā́ rohasi vr̥ṣaṇyántīva kanyálā |
jáyantī pratyātíṣṭhantī spáraṇī nā́ma vā́ asi ||3||

Перелезаешь ты с дерева на дерево,
Как девка похотливая.
В самом деле, ты по имени побеждающая, Помогающая, освобождающая.

Thou clingest close to every tree, as a fond damsel clasps her
love.
Thy name is called The Conqueror, She who Stands Fast, The
Rescuer.

Every tree thou dost climb, like a wench lusting after a man. 'Victorious,' 'firmly founded,' 'saving,' verily, is thy name.

य॒द् दण्डे॒न य॒द् इ॒ष्वा य॒द् वा॒रुर् ह॒रसा कृत॒म् ।
त॒स्य त्व॒म् असि नि॒ष्कृतिः से॒मं॒ नि॒ष् कृधि पू॒रुषम् ॥४॥

yád daṇḍéna yád íṣvā yád vā́rur hárasā kr̥tám |
tásya tvám asi níṣkr̥tiḥ sémáṃ níṣ kr̥dhi pū́ruṣam ||4||

Рана, что дубиной,
Что стрелой или что ожогом вызвана, - Ты ее исцеление. Исцели этого человека!

Whatever wound the arrow, or the staff, or violence inflicts,
Thereof thou art the remedy: as such restore this man to health.

The wound that has been inflicted by the club, by the arrow, or by fire, of that thou art the cure: do thou cure this person here!

avś_05.005.05.

भद्रा॒त् प्लक्षा॒न् नि॒स् तिष्ठस्य् अश्वत्था॒त् खदिरा॒द् धवा॒त् ।
भद्रा॒न् न्यग्रो॒धात् पर्णा॒त् सा॒ न ए॒ह्य् अरुन्धति ॥५॥

bhadrā́t plakṣā́n nís tiṣṭhasy aśvatthā́t khadirā́d dhavā́t |
bhadrā́n nyagródhāt parṇā́t sā́ na éhy arundhati ||5||

Ты появляешься из прекрасного (дерева) плакша,
Ашваттха, кхадира, дхава,
Из прекрасного (дерева) баньян, парна. Приди к нам, о арундхати!

Thou springest from blest Plaxa, or Asvattha, Dhava, Khadira,
Parna, or blest Nyagrodha, so come thou to use, Arundhatī!

Upon the noble plaksha-tree (ficus infectoria) thou growest up, upon the asvattha (ficus religiosa), the khadira (acacia catechu), and the dhava (grislea tomentosa); (thou growest up) upon the noble nyagrodha (ficus indica, banyan-tree), and the parna (butea frondosa). Come thou to us, O arundhatī!

avś_05.005.06.

हि॒रण्यवर्णे सु॒भगे सू॒र्यवर्णे व॒पुष्टमे ।
रुतं॒ गछासि निष्कृते नि॒ष्कृतिर् ना॒म वा॒ असि ॥६॥

híraṇyavarṇe súbhage sū́ryavarṇe vápuṣṭame |
rutáṃ gachāsi niṣkr̥te níṣkr̥tir nā́ma vā́ asi ||6||

О золотистая, приносящая счастье, Солнечноцветная, самая удивительная! Да пойдешь ты к раненому, о исцеление! В самом деле, ты "Исцеление" по имени!

Gold-coloured, bringing happy fate, most lovely, brilliant as the
Sun,
Mayst thou, O Healing! come unto the fracture: Healing is thy
name.

O gold-coloured, lovely, sun-coloured, most handsome (plant), mayest thou come to the fracture, O cure! 'Cure,' verily, is thy name!

avś_05.005.07.

हि॒रण्यवर्णे सु॒भगे शु॒ष्मे लो॒मशवक्षने ।
अपा॒म् असि स्व॒सा लाक्षे वा॒तो हात्मा॒ बभूव ते ॥७॥

híraṇyavarṇe súbhage śúṣme lómaśavakṣane |
apā́m asi svásā lākṣe vā́to hātmā́ babhūva te ||7||

О золотистая, приносящая счастье, Неистовая, с волосатым чревом! Ты - сестра вод, о лакша,
А ветер был твоим духом.

Gold-coloured, bringing happy fate, odorous, hairy-bodied one,
The sister of the Waters art thou, Lākshā! and thy soul is Wind.

O gold-coloured, lovely, fiery (plant), with hairy stem, thou art the sister of the waters, O lākshā, the wind became thy very breath.

avś_05.005.08.

सिलाची॒ ना॒म कानीनो॒ ऽजबभ्रु पिता॒ त॒व ।
अ॒श्वो यम॒स्य यः॒ श्याव॒स् त॒स्य हास्ना॒स्य् उक्षिता॒ ॥८॥

silācī́ nā́ma kānīnó 'jababhru pitā́ táva |
áśvo yamásya yáḥ śyāvás tásya hāsnā́sy ukṣitā́ ||8||

Силачи по имени - сын девицы Отец твой, о козлинобурая. Тот темно-бурый конь Ямы - Ведь это его кровью ты окроплена.

Silāchi is thy name: thy sire, O goat-brown! is a damsel's son.
Thou hast been sprinkled by the mouth of Yama's tawny-
coloured horse.

Silākī is thy name, O thou that art brown as a goat, thy father is the son of a maiden. With the blood of the brown horse of Yama thou hast verily been sprinkled.

avś_05.005.09.

अ॒श्वस्यास्नः॒ सं॒पतिता सा॒ वृक्षां॒ अभि॒ सिष्यदे ।
सरा॒ पतत्रिणी भूत्वा॒ सा॒ न ए॒ह्य् अरुन्धति ॥९॥

áśvasyāsnáḥ sáṃpatitā sā́ vr̥kṣā́m̐ abhí siṣyade |
sarā́ patatriṇī bhūtvā́ sā́ na éhy arundhati ||9||

Сгустившись из конской крови, Она затопила деревья.
Став текучей, крылатой, Приди к нам, о арундхати!

Issuing from the horse's blood away she glided to the trees.
Become a winged water-brook, and come to us, Arundhatī!

Having dropped from the blood of the horse she ran upon the trees, turning into a winged brook. Do thou come to us, O arundhatī!
