ओ॒ते मे द्या॒वापृथिवी॒ ओ॒ता देवी॒ स॒रस्वती ।
ओ॒तौ म इ॒न्द्रश् चाग्नि॒श् च क्रि॒मिं जम्भयताम् इ॒ति ॥१॥

óte me dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ ótā devī́ sárasvatī |
ótau ma índraś cāgníś ca krímiṃ jambhayatām íti ||1||

Сплетены для меня Небо-и-Земля, Сплетена богиня Сарасвати, Сплетены для меня Индра и Агни - "Пусть они расплющат червя!"

I have called Heaven and Earth to aid, have called divine
Sarasvati,
Indra and Agni have I called: Let these destroy the worm, I
prayed.

I have called upon heaven and earth, I have called upon the goddess Sarasvatī, I have called upon Indra and Agni: 'they shall crush the worm,' (I said).

avś_05.023.02.

अस्ये॒न्द्र कुमार॒स्य क्रि॒मीन् धनपते जहि ।
हता॒ वि॒श्वा अ॒रातय उग्रे॒ण व॒चसा म॒म ॥२॥

asyéndra kumārásya krímīn dhanapate jahi |
hatā́ víśvā árātaya ugréṇa vácasā máma ||2||

О Индра, повелитель богатств, Убей червей у этого мальчика! Убиты все злые силы Ужасным заклинанием моим.

O Indra, Lord of Treasures, kill the worms that prey upon this
boy.
All the malignant spirits have been smitten by my potent spell.
We utterly destroy the worm, the worm that creeps around the
eyes.
The worm that crawls about the nose, the worm that gets bet-
ween the teeth.

Slay the worms in this boy, O Indra, lord of treasures! Slain are all the evil powers by my fierce imprecation!

avś_05.023.03.

यो॒ अक्ष्यौ॑ परिस॒र्पति यो॒ ना॒से परिस॒र्पति ।
दतां॒ यो॒ म॒ध्यं ग॒छति तं॒ क्रि॒मिं जम्भयामसि ॥३॥

yó akṣyàu parisárpati yó nā́se parisárpati |
datā́ṃ yó mádhyaṃ gáchati táṃ krímiṃ jambhayāmasi ||3||

Тот, что ползает вокруг глаз, Тот, что ползает вокруг носа,
Тот, что проникает внутрь зубов, - Мы расплющиваем этого червя.

Two of like colour, two unlike, two coloured black, two
coloured red.
The tawny and the tawny-eared, Vulture and Wolf, all these
are killed.

Him that moves about in the eyes, that moves about in the nose, that gets to the middle of the teeth, that worm do we crush.

avś_05.023.04.

स॒रूपौ द्वौ॒ वि॒रूपौ द्वौ॒ कृष्णौ॒ द्वौ॒ रो॒हितौ द्वौ॒ ।
बभ्रु॒श् च बभ्रु॒कर्णश् च गृ॒ध्रः को॒कश् च ते॒ हताः॒ ॥४॥

sárūpau dváu vírūpau dváu kr̥ṣṇáu dváu róhitau dváu |
babhrúś ca babhrúkarṇaś ca gŕ̥dhraḥ kókaś ca té hatā́ḥ ||4||

Два одинаковых, два неодинаковых,
Два черных, два красных,
И коричневый, и коричневоухий, Ястреб и волк - они убиты.

Worms that are white about the sides, those that are black with
black-hued arms,
All that show various tints and hues, these worms we utterly
destroy.

The two of like colour, the two of different colour; the two black ones, and the two red ones; the brown one, and the brown-eared one; the (one like a) vulture, and the (one like a) cuckoo, are slain.

avś_05.023.05.

ये॒ क्रि॒मयः शितिक॒क्षा ये॒ कृष्णाः॒ शितिबा॒हवः ।
ये॒ के॒ च विश्व॒रूपास् ता॒न् क्रि॒मीन् जम्भयामसि ॥५॥

yé krímayaḥ śitikákṣā yé kr̥ṣṇā́ḥ śitibā́havaḥ |
yé ké ca viśvárūpās tā́n krímīn jambhayāmasi ||5||

(Те) черви, что с белыми плечами,
(Те) черные, что с белыми руками,
И какие бы они ни были разнообразные - Мы расплющиваем этих червей.

Eastward the Sun is mounting, seen of all, destroying thing
unseen,
Crushing and killing all the worms invisible and visible.

The worms with white shoulders, the black ones with white arms, and all those that are variegated, these worms do we crush.

avś_05.023.06.

उ॒त् पुर॒स्तात् सू॒र्य एति विश्व॒दृष्टो अदृष्टहा॒ ।
दृष्टां॒श् च घ्न॒न्न् अदृ॒ष्टांश् च स॒र्वांश् च प्रमृण॒न् क्रि॒मीन् ॥६॥

út purástāt sū́rya eti viśvádr̥ṣṭo adr̥ṣṭahā́ |
dr̥ṣṭā́ṃś ca ghnánn adŕ̥ṣṭāṃś ca sárvāṃś ca pramr̥ṇán krímīn ||6||

Солнце восходит на востоке,
Всем видное, убийца невидимых,
Убивая видимых и невидимых
И давя всех червей.

Let the Yevāshas, Kaskashas, Ejatkas, Sipavitnukas,
Let both the worm that we can see, and that we see not, be
destroyed.

In the east rises the sun, seen by all, slaying that which is not seen; slaying the seen and the unseen (worms), and grinding to pieces all the worms.

avś_05.023.07.

ये॒वाषासः क॒ष्कषास एजत्काः॒ शिपवित्नुकाः॒ ।
दृष्ट॒श् च हन्य॒तां क्रि॒मिर् उता॒दृ॒ष्टश् च हन्यताम् ॥७॥

yévāṣāsaḥ káṣkaṣāsa ejatkā́ḥ śipavitnukā́ḥ |
dr̥ṣṭáś ca hanyátāṃ krímir utā́dŕ̥ṣṭaś ca hanyatām ||7||

Еваша, кашкаша,
Эджатка, шипавитнука -
Пусть будет убит и видимый червь, Пусть будет убит и невидимый!

Slain the Yevāsha of the worms, slain too is the Nadaniman.
I have reduced them all to dust like vetches with the pounding-
stone.

The yevāsha and the kashkasha, the egatka, and the sipavitnuka — the seen worm shall be slain, moreover the unseen shall be slain!

avś_05.023.08.

हतो॒ ये॒वाषः क्रि॒मीणां हतो॒ नदनिमो॒त॒ ।
स॒र्वान् नि॒ मष्मषा॒करं दृष॒दा ख॒ल्वां इव ॥८॥

ható yévāṣaḥ krímīṇāṃ ható nadanimótá |
sárvān ní maṣmaṣā́karaṃ dr̥ṣádā khálvām̐ iva ||8||

Убит среди червей еваша,
Убит также наданиман,
Я перемолол всех в порошок, Как зерна кхалвы - жерновом.

The worm Sāranga, white of hue, three-headed, with a triple
hump,
I split and tear his ribs away, I wrench off every head he has.

Slain of the worms is the yevāsha, slain further is the nadaniman; all have I crushed down like lentils with a mill-stone.

avś_05.023.09.

त्रिशीर्षा॒णं त्रिककु॒दं क्रि॒मिं सार॒ङ्गम् अ॒र्जुनम् ।
शृणा॒म्य् अस्य पृष्टी॒र् अ॒पि वृश्चामि य॒च् छि॒रः ॥९॥

triśīrṣā́ṇaṃ trikakúdaṃ krímiṃ sāráṅgam árjunam |
śr̥ṇā́my asya pr̥ṣṭī́r ápi vr̥ścāmi yác chíraḥ ||9||

Трехголового, трехгорбого червя,
Разноцветного, белого -
Я ломаю ему ребра,
Я отрубаю (то), что голова (у него)!

I kill you, worms, as Atri, as Kanva and Jamadagni killed.
I crush the worms to pieces with a spell that erst Agastya used.

The worm with three heads and the one with three skulls, the speckled, and the white — I crush his ribs and I tear off his head.

avś_05.023.10.

अत्रिव॒द् वः क्रिमयो हन्मि कण्वव॒ज् जमदग्निव॒त् ।
अग॒स्त्यस्य ब्र॒ह्मणा सं॒ पिनष्म्य् अहं॒ क्रि॒मीन् ॥१०॥

atrivád vaḥ krimayo hanmi kaṇvaváj jamadagnivát |
agástyasya bráhmaṇā sáṃ pinaṣmy aháṃ krímīn ||10||

Как Атри, я убиваю вас, черви,
Как Канва, как Джамадагни.
Заклинанием Агастьи
Я перемалываю червей.

The King of worms hath been destroyed, he who was lord of
these is slain.
Slain is the worm whose mother, whose brother and sister have
been slain.

Like Atri, like Kanva, and like Gamadagni do I slay you, ye worms! With the incantation of Agastya do I crush the worms to pieces.

avś_05.023.11.

हतो॒ रा॒जा क्रि॒मीणाम् उतै॒षां स्थप॒तिर् हतः॒ ।
हतो॒ हत॒माता क्रि॒मिर् हत॒भ्राता हत॒स्वसा ॥११॥

ható rā́jā krímīṇām utáiṣāṃ sthapátir hatáḥ |
ható hatámātā krímir hatábhrātā hatásvasā ||11||

Убит царь червей,
И их предводитель убит; Убит червь, у него убита мать, Убит брат, убита сестра.

Destroyed are his dependants, who those dwell around him are
destroyed,
And all the worms that seem to be the little ones are done to
death

Slain is the king of the worms, and their viceroy also is slain. Slain is the worm, with him his mother slain, his brother slain, his sister slain.

avś_05.023.12.

हता॒सो अस्य वेश॒सो हता॒सः प॒रिवेशसः ।
अ॒थो ये॒ क्षुल्लका॒ इव स॒र्वे ते॒ क्रि॒मयो हताः॒ ॥१२॥

hatā́so asya veśáso hatā́saḥ páriveśasaḥ |
átho yé kṣullakā́ iva sárve té krímayo hatā́ḥ ||12||

Убита его челядь,
Убиты соседи,
А также (те), что совсем малые, - Все эти черви убиты.

Of every worm and insect, of the female and the male alike,
I crush the head to pieces with a stone and burn the face with
fire.

Slain are they who are inmates with him, slain are his neighbours; moreover all the quite tiny worms are slain.

avś_05.023.13.

स॒र्वेषां च क्रि॒मीणां स॒र्वासां च क्रिमी॒नाम् ।
भिन॒द्म्य् अ॒श्मना शि॒रो द॒हाम्य् अग्नि॒ना मु॒खम् ॥१३॥

sárveṣāṃ ca krímīṇāṃ sárvāsāṃ ca krimī́nām |
bhinádmy áśmanā śíro dáhāmy agnínā múkham ||13||

И у всех червей,
И у всех червих
Я дроблю камнем голову, Я опаляю рот огнем.

Of all the male worms, and of all the female worms do I split the heads with the stone, I burn their faces with fire.
