प॒रि द्या॒म् इव सू॒र्यो॒ ऽहीनां ज॒निमागमम् ।
रा॒त्री ज॒गद् इवान्य॒द् धंसा॒त् ते॒ना ते वारये विष॒म् ॥१॥

pári dyā́m iva sū́ryó 'hīnāṃ jánimāgamam |
rā́trī jágad ivānyád dhaṃsā́t ténā te vāraye viṣám ||1||

Как солнце вокруг неба, Я обошел змеиный род,
Как ночь - все живое, кроме гуся, - Этим я отвращаю твой яд.

I, As the Sun goes round the heaven, have travelled round the
Serpents' race.
I ward thy poison off, as Night parts all else living from the
Sun.

As the sun (goes around) the heavens I have surrounded the race of the serpents. As night (puts to rest) all animals except the hamsa bird, (thus) do I with this (charm) ward off thy poison.

avś_06.012.02.

य॒द् ब्रह्म॒भिर् य॒द् ऋ॒षिभिर् य॒द् देवै॒र् विदितं॒ पुरा॒ ।
य॒द् भूतं॒ भ॒व्यम् आसन्व॒त् ते॒ना ते वारये विष॒म् ॥२॥

yád brahmábhir yád ŕ̥ṣibhir yád deváir viditáṃ purā́ |
yád bhūtáṃ bhávyam āsanvát ténā te vāraye viṣám ||2||

Что издревле постигли брахманы,
Что риши, что боги,
Что было, что будет, что есть - Этим я отвращаю твой яд.

With this, discovered in the days of old by Brāhmans, Rishis,
Gods,
With this I ward thy poison off, thou Biter! formed and form-
ing now.

With (the charm) that was found of yore by the Brahmans, found by the Rishis, and found by the gods, with (the charm) that was, will be, and is now present, with this do I ward off thy poison.

avś_06.012.03.

म॒ध्वा पृञ्चे नद्यः॑ प॒र्वता गिर॒यो म॒धु ।
म॒धु प॒रुष्णी शी॒पाला श॒म् आस्ने॒ अस्तु शं॒ हृदे॒ ॥३॥

mádhvā pr̥ñce nadyàḥ párvatā giráyo mádhu |
mádhu páruṣṇī śī́pālā śám āsné astu śáṃ hr̥dé ||3||

С медом я смешиваю реки.
Холмы, горы - (это) мед.
Мед - Парушни, Шипала.
Да будет благо (твоим) устам, благо сердцу!

With mead I mingle flowing streams: the hills and mountains
shall be mead.
Parushni and Sipālā mead. May it be well with mouth and
heart.

With honey do I mix the rivers; the mountains and peaks are honey. Honey are the rivers Parushnī and Sīpalā. Prosperity be to thy mouth, prosperity to thy heart!
