य॒थेय॒म् पृथिवी॒ मही॒ भूता॒नां ग॒र्भम् आदधे॒ ।
एवा॒ ते ध्रियतां ग॒र्भो अ॒नु सू॒तुं स॒वितवे ॥१॥
yátheyám pr̥thivī́ mahī́ bhūtā́nāṃ gárbham ādadhé |
evā́ te dhriyatāṃ gárbho ánu sū́tuṃ sávitave ||1||
Как эта великая земля
Вбирает в себя зародыш (всех) существ, Так же пусть удерживается твой зародыш, Чтоб родиться вслед за беременностью!
Even as this mighty Earth conceived the germ of all the things
that be,
So may the germ of life be laid in thee that thou mayst bear a
son.
As this great earth conceives the germs of the beings, thus shalt thy embryo be-beld fast, to produce a child after pregnancy!

evā́ te dhriyatāṃ gárbho ánu sū́tuṃ sávitave ||2||
Как эта великая земля
Держит эти лесные деревья,
Так же пусть удерживается твой зародыш, Чтоб родиться вслед за беременностью!
Even as this mighty Earth hath borne and bears the stately
forest trees,
So may the germ of life be borne in thee that thou mayst bear a
son.
As this great earth holds these trees, thus shall thy embryo be held fast, to produce a child after pregnancy!

evā́ te dhriyatāṃ gárbho ánu sū́tuṃ sávitave ||3||
Как эта великая земля
Держит скалы-горы,
Так же пусть удерживается твой зародыш, Чтоб родиться вслед за беременностью!
Even as this mighty Earth hath borne and bears the mountains
and the hills,
So may the germ of life be borne in thee that thou mayst bear
a son.
As this great earth holds the mountains and the peaks, thus shall thy embryo be held fast, to produce a child after pregnancy!

य॒थेयं॒ पृथिवी॒ मही॒ दाधा॒र वि॒ष्ठितं ज॒गत् ।
एवा॒ ते ध्रियतां ग॒र्भो अ॒नु सू॒तुं स॒वितवे ॥४॥
yátheyáṃ pr̥thivī́ mahī́ dādhā́ra víṣṭhitaṃ jágat |
evā́ te dhriyatāṃ gárbho ánu sū́tuṃ sávitave ||4||
Как эта великая земля
Держит различные живые существа,
Так же пусть удерживается твой зародыш,
Чтоб родиться вслед за беременностью!
Even as this mighty Earth supports the moving world that
dwells thereon,
So may the germ of life be borne in thee that thou mayst bear a
son.
As this great earth holds the animals scattered far, thus shall thy embryo be held fast, to produce a child after pregnancy!
