अयं॒ दर्भो॒ वि॒मन्युकः स्वा॒य चा॒रणाय च ।
मन्यो॒र् विमन्युकस्यायं॒ मन्युश॒मन उच्यते ॥१॥

ayáṃ darbhó vímanyukaḥ svā́ya cā́raṇāya ca |
manyór vimanyukasyāyáṃ manyuśámana ucyate ||1||

Эта дарбха - избавляющая от гнева,
Для своего и для чужого.
Она зовется избавляющей от гнева, Успокаивающей гнев у гнева (?).

For stranger and for friend alike this Darbha-grass removeth
wrath.
Soother of Anger is it called because it calms the angry man.

This darbha-grass removes the anger of both kinsman and of stranger. And this remover of wrath, 'appeaser of wrath' it is called.

avś_06.043.02.

अयं॒ यो॒ भू॒रिमूलः समुद्र॒म् अवति॒ष्ठति ।
दर्भः॒ पृथिव्या॒ उ॒त्थितो मन्युश॒मन उच्यते ॥२॥

ayáṃ yó bhū́rimūlaḥ samudrám avatíṣṭhati |
darbháḥ pr̥thivyā́ útthito manyuśámana ucyate ||2||

Эта дарбха, у которой много корней,
(Которая) опускается до моря,
Поднявшаяся из земли,
Зовется успокаивающей гнев.

This Plant that hath abundant roots spreads to the place where
waters meet.
Soother of anger is the name Darbha-grass that springs from
earth.

This darbha-grass of many roots, that reaches down into the ocean, having risen from the earth, 'appeaser of wrath' it is called.

avś_06.043.03.

वि॒ ते हनव्यां॑ शर॒णिं वि॒ ते मु॒ख्यां नयामसि ।
य॒थावशो॒ न॒ वा॒दिषो म॒म चित्त॒म् उपा॒यसि ॥३॥

ví te hanavyā̀ṃ śaráṇiṃ ví te múkhyāṃ nayāmasi |
yáthāvaśó ná vā́diṣo máma cittám upā́yasi ||3||

Мы уводим прочь строптивость Твоих челюстей, твоего рта, Чтоб не говорила ты независимо, Чтоб склонилась ты к моему намерению!

We draw thine obstinacy forth, set in thy mouth and in thy jaw:
So dost thou yield thee to my will. to speak no more rebelli-
ously.

Away we take the offensiveness that is in thy jaw, away (the offensiveness) in thy mouth, so that, bereft of will, thou shalt not speak, shalt come up to my wish!
