वरणो॒ वारयाता अयं॒ देवो॒ व॒नस्प॒तिः ।
य॒क्ष्मो यो॒ अस्मि॒न्न् आ॒विष्टस् त॒म् उ देवा॒ अवीवरन् ॥१॥

varaṇó vārayātā ayáṃ devó vánaspátiḥ |
yákṣmo yó asmínn ā́viṣṭas tám u devā́ avīvaran ||1||

Пусть варана, это божественное Лесное дерево, удержит (якшму)! Якшма, которая вошла в этого (человека), Ее боги тоже удержали.

Let Varana the heavenly tree here present keep disease away.
The Gods have driven off Decline that entered and possessed
this man.

This divine tree, the varana, shall shut out (vārayātai). The gods, too, have shut out (avīvaran) the disease that hath entered into this man!

avś_06.085.02.

इ॒न्द्रस्य व॒चसा वयं॒ मित्र॒स्य व॒रुणस्य च ।
देवा॒नां स॒र्वेषां वाचा॒ य॒क्ष्मं ते वारयामहे ॥२॥

índrasya vácasā vayáṃ mitrásya váruṇasya ca |
devā́nāṃ sárveṣāṃ vācā́ yákṣmaṃ te vārayāmahe ||2||

Словом Индры, Митры и Варуны, Словом всех богов
Мы удерживаем твою якшму.

We with the speech of Indra and of Mitra and of Varuna.
We with the speech of all the Gods will drive Decline away from
thee.

By Indra's command, by Mitra's and by Varuna's, by the command of all the gods do we shut out thy disease.

avś_06.085.03.

य॒था वृत्र॒ इमा॒ आ॒पस् तस्त॒म्भ विश्व॒धा यतीः॒ ।
एवा॒ ते अग्नि॒ना य॒क्ष्मं वैश्वानरे॒ण वारये ॥३॥

yáthā vr̥trá imā́ ā́pas tastámbha viśvádhā yatī́ḥ |
evā́ te agnínā yákṣmaṃ vaiśvānaréṇa vāraye ||3||

Как Вритра запрудил эти
Всегда движущиеся воды,
Так я вместе с Агни
Вайшванарой удерживаю твою якшму.

Even as Vritra checked and stayed these waters flowing every
way,
With Agni, God of all mankind. I check and banish thy Decline.

As Vritra did bold fast these ever-flowing waters, thus do I shut out (vāraye) disease from thee with (the help of) Agni Vaisvānara.
