वा॒तरंहा भव वाजिन् युज॒मान इ॒न्द्रस्य याहि प्रसवे॒ म॒नोजवाः ।
युञ्ज॒न्तु त्वा मरु॒तो विश्व॒वेदस आ॒ ते त्व॒स्ता पत्सु॒ जवं॒ दधातु ॥१॥
vā́taraṃhā bhava vājin yujámāna índrasya yāhi prasavé mánojavāḥ |
yuñjántu tvā marúto viśvávedasa ā́ te tvástā patsú javáṃ dadhātu ||1||
Будь, о конь, быстрым (как) ветер, когда (тебя) запрягают! Мчись по воле Индры со скоростью мысли! Пусть запрягут тебя Маруты, обладатели всего! Пусть Тваштар вложит скорость в твои ноги!
Be fleet as wind, Strong Steed, when thou art harnessed; go
forth as swift as thought at lndra's sending.
Let the possessors of all wealth, the Maruts, yoke thee, and
Tvashtar in thy feet lay swiftness.
Swift as the wind be thou, O steed, when joined (to the chariot); at Indra's urging go, fleet as the mind! The Maruts, the all-possessing, shall harness thee,Tvashtar shall put fleetness into thy feet!
avś_06.092.02.
जव॒स् ते अर्वन् नि॒हितो गु॒हा यः॒ श्येने॒ वा॒ते उत॒ यो॒ ऽचरत् प॒रीत्तः ।
ते॒न त्वं॒ वाजिन् ब॒लवान् ब॒लेनाजिं॒ जय स॒मने परयिष्णुः॒ ॥२॥
javás te arvan níhito gúhā yáḥ śyené vā́te utá yó 'carat párīttaḥ |
téna tváṃ vājin bálavān bálenājíṃ jaya sámane parayiṣṇúḥ ||2||
(Та) скорость, о скакун, что вложена в тебя тайно,
А также (та), что была дарована ястребу, ветру,
С помощью этой силы ты, о конь, сильный, Выиграй это состязание, достигая цели в борьбе!
That speed, that lies concealed in thee, O Charger, speed granted
to the hawk or wind that wandered,
Therewith, Strong Steed, saving in shock of battle endowed
with might by might win thou the contest.
With the fleetness, O runner, that has been deposited in thee in a secret place, (with the fleetness) that has been made over to the eagle, the wind, and moves in them, with that, O steed, strong with strength, do thou win the. race, reaching the goal in the contest!

तनू॒ष् टे वाजिन् तन्वं॑ न॒यन्ती वाम॒म् अस्म॒भ्यं धा॒वतु श॒र्म तु॒भ्यम् ।
अ॒ह्रुतो महो॒ धरु॒णाय देवो॒ दिवी॒व ज्यो॒तिः स्व॒म् आ॒ मिमीयात् ॥३॥
tanū́ṣ ṭe vājin tanvàṃ náyantī vāmám asmábhyaṃ dhā́vatu śárma túbhyam |
áhruto mahó dharúṇāya devó divī́va jyótiḥ svám ā́ mimīyāt ||3||
Тело твое, о конь, везущее тело,
Пусть примчится к радости для нас, защите для тебя! Неоступающийся, великий, бог для поддержки, Пусть он установит свой свет, как (солнце) на небе!
Bearing thy body, Charger, may thy body run blessing us and
winning thee protection.
May he, unswerving, to uphold the mighty, stablish his lustre as
a God in heaven.
Thy body, O steed, leading (our) body, shall run, a pleasure to ourselves, delight to thyself! A god, not stumbling, for the support of the great, he shall, as if upon the heaven, found his own light!
