अभि॒ त्वेन्द्र व॒रिमतः पुरा॒ त्वांहूरणा॒द् धुवे ।
ह्व॒याम्य् उग्रं॒ चेत्ता॒रं पुरु॒णामानम् एकज॒म् ॥१॥

abhí tvendra várimataḥ purā́ tvāṃhūraṇā́d dhuve |
hváyāmy ugráṃ cettā́raṃ purúṇāmānam ekajám ||1||

Я призываю тебя, Индра, из-за широкого пространства, Тебя - в защиту от узости!
Я зову грозного стража
С многими именами, рожденного единственным.

Indra, before affliction comes, I call thee from the wide expanse.
The mighty guardian, born alone, wearer of many names, I call.

I call -upon thee, O Indra, from afar, upon thee for protection against tribulation. I call the strong avenger that has many names, and is of unequalled birth.

avś_06.099.02.

यो॒ अद्य॒ से॒न्यो वधो॒ जि॒घांसन् न उदी॒रते ।
इ॒न्द्रस्य त॒त्र बाहू॒ समन्तं॒ प॒रि दद्मः ॥२॥

yó adyá sényo vadhó jíghāṃsan na udī́rate |
índrasya tátra bāhū́ samantáṃ pári dadmaḥ ||2||

(То) враждебное оружие, что сегодня
Поднимается, желая нас убить, -
Тут мы соединяем вокруг себя
Две руки Индры.

Whatever deadly missile launched to-day flies forth to slaughter
us.
We take both arms of Indra to encompass us on every side.

Where the hostile weapon now rises against us,threatening to slay, there do we place the two arms of Indra round about.

avś_06.099.03.

प॒रि दद्म इ॒न्द्रस्य बाहू॒ समन्तं॒ त्रातु॒स् त्रा॒यतां नः ।
दे॒व सवितः सो॒म राजन्त् सुम॒नसं मा कृणु स्वस्त॒ये ॥३॥

pári dadma índrasya bāhū́ samantáṃ trātús trā́yatāṃ naḥ |
déva savitaḥ sóma rājant sumánasaṃ mā kr̥ṇu svastáye ||3||

Мы соединяем вокруг себя две руки Индры-спасителя. Пусть он
спасет нас! О бог Савитар! О царь Сома! Сделай меня хорошо
настроенным - на счастье!

We draw about us both the arms of Indra, our deliverer. May
they protect us thoroughly.
O Savitar, thou God, O royal Soma, make thou me pious-
minded for my welfare.

The two arms of Indra, the protector, do we place round about us: let him protect us! O god Savitar, and king Soma, render me of confident mind, that I may prosper!
