That spell for thee I heat by Varuna's decree.

Love's consuming longing, together with yearning, which the all-gods (visve devāh) have poured into the waters, that do I kindle for thee by the law of Varuna!

य॒म् इन्द्राणी॒ स्मर॒म् अ॒सिञ्चद् अप्स्व् अ॑न्तः॒ शो॒शुचानं सहा॒ध्या॒ ।

yám indrāṇī́ smarám ásiñcad apsv àntáḥ śóśucānaṃ sahā́dhyā́ |
táṃ te tapāmi váruṇasya dhármaṇā ||3||

Какую любовь Индрани излила в воды,
Пылающую вместе со страстным желанием,
Ее я накаляю для тебя с помощью закона Варуны.

effused within the bosom of the floods,
That spell for thee I heat by Varuna's decree.

Love's consuming longing, together with yearning, which Indra and Agni have poured into the waters, that do I kindle for thee by the law of Varuna!

Какую любовь Митра-Варуна излили в воды,
Пылающую вместе со страстным желанием,
Ее я накаляю для тебя с помощью закона Варуны.

The charm aglow with longing which Mitra and Varuna have
poured within the bosom of the floods,
That spell for thee I heat by Varuna's decree.

Love's consuming longing, together with yearning, which Mitra and Varuna have poured into the waters, that do I kindle for thee by the law of Varuna!
