देवी॒ देव्या॒म् अ॒धि जाता॒ पृथिव्या॒म् अस्य् ओषधे ।
तां॒ त्वा नितत्नि के॒शेभ्यो दृं॒हणाय खनामसि ॥१॥

devī́ devyā́m ádhi jātā́ pr̥thivyā́m asy oṣadhe |
tā́ṃ tvā nitatni kéśebhyo dŕ̥ṃhaṇāya khanāmasi ||1||

Ты родилась божественной
На божественной земле, о трава. Тебя такую, нитатни, мы откапываем Для укрепления волос.

Born from the bosom of wide Earth the Goddess, godlike Plant,
art thou:
So we, Nitatnī! dig thee up to strengthen and fix fast the hair.

As a goddess upon the goddess earth thou wast born, O plant! We dig thee up, O nitatni, that thou mayest strengthen (the growth) of the hair.

avś_06.136.02.

दृं॒ह प्रत्ना॒न् जन॒या॒जातान् जाता॒न् उ व॒र्षीयसस् कृधि ॥२॥

dŕ̥ṃha pratnā́n janáyā́jātān jātā́n u várṣīyasas kr̥dhi ||2||

Укрепи старые, заставь родиться неродившиеся, А родившиеся сделай длиннее!

Make the old firm, make new hair spring, lengthen what has
already grown.

Strengthen the old (hair), beget the new! That which has come forth render more luxurious!

avś_06.136.03.

य॒स् ते के॒शो ऽवप॒द्यते स॒मूलो य॒श् च वृश्च॒ते ।
इदं॒ तं॒ विश्व॒भेषज्याभि॒ षिञ्चामि वीरु॒धा ॥३॥

yás te kéśo 'vapádyate sámūlo yáś ca vr̥ścáte |
idáṃ táṃ viśvábheṣajyābhí ṣiñcāmi vīrúdhā ||3||

Какой волос у тебя выпадает И какой вырывается с корнем, Его сейчас поливаю я Всеисцеляющим растением.

Thy hair where it is falling off, and with the roots is torn away,
I wet and sprinkle with the Plant, the remedy for all disease.

That hair of thine which does drop off, and that which is broken root and all, upon it do I sprinkle here the all-healing herb.
