प्र॒पथे पथा॒म् अजनिष्ट पूषा॒ प्र॒पथे दिवः॒ प्र॒पथे पृथिव्याः॒ ।
उभे॒ अभि॒ प्रिय॒तमे सध॒स्थे आ॒ च प॒रा च चरति प्रजान॒न् ॥१॥
prápathe pathā́m ajaniṣṭa pūṣā́ prápathe diváḥ prápathe pr̥thivyā́ḥ |
ubhé abhí priyátame sadhásthe ā́ ca párā ca carati prajānán ||1||
На дальнем пути дорог родился Пушан, На дальнем пути неба, на дальнем пути земли.
К обоим самым приятным местам Странствует он туда и сюда, зная путь.
Pūshan was born to move on distant pathways, on roads remote
from earth, remote from heaven.
To both most lovely places of assembly he travels and returns
with perfect knowledge.
On the distant path of the paths Pūshan was born, on the distant path of heaven, on the distant path of the earth. Upon the two most lovely places both he walks hither and away, knowing (the way).
avś_07.009.02.
पूषे॒मा॒ आ॒शा अ॒नु वेद स॒र्वाः सो॒ अस्मां॒ अ॒भयतमेन नेषत् ।
स्वस्तिदा॒ आ॒घृणिः स॒र्ववीरो॒ ऽप्रयुछन् पुर॒ एतु प्रजान॒न् ॥२॥
pūṣémā́ ā́śā ánu veda sárvāḥ só asmā́m̐ ábhayatamena neṣat |
svastidā́ ā́ghr̥ṇiḥ sárvavīró 'prayuchan purá etu prajānán ||2||
Пушан знает все эти стороны света.
Пусть поведет он нас самым безопасным (путем)! Дающий счастье, пылающий, сохраняющий мужей целыми, Неутомимый, пусть идет он впереди, зная путь!
Pūshan knows all these realms: may he conduct us by ways that
are most free from fear and danger.
Giver of blessings, glowing, all heroic, may he the wise and
watchful go before us.
Pūshan knows these regions all; he shall lead us by the most dangerless (way). Bestowing well-being, of radiant glow, keeping our heroes undiminished, he shall, alert and skilful, go before us!
avś_07.009.03.
पू॒षन् त॒व व्रते॒ वयं॒ न॒ रिष्येम कदा॒ चन॒ ।
स्तोता॒रस् त इह॒ स्मसि ॥३॥
pū́ṣan táva vraté vayáṃ ná riṣyema kadā́ caná |
stotā́ras ta ihá smasi ||3||
О Пушан, в твоем обете
Да не потерпим мы никогда ущерба! Мы здесь твои восхвалители.
We are thy praisers here, O Pūshan: never let us be injured
under thy protection.
O Pūshan, under thy law may we never suffer harm: as praisers of thee are we here!
avś_07.009.04.
प॒रि पूषा॒ पर॒स्ताद् ध॒स्तं दधातु द॒क्षिणम् ।
पु॒नर् नो नष्ट॒म् आ॒जतु सं॒ नष्टे॒न गमेमहि ॥४॥
pári pūṣā́ parástād dhástaṃ dadhātu dákṣiṇam |
púnar no naṣṭám ā́jatu sáṃ naṣṭéna gamemahi ||4||
Пусть Пушан с той стороны
Окружит (своею) правою рукой!
Пусть он снова пригонит нам потерянное! Да соединимся мы с потерянным!
From out the distance, far and wide, may Pūshan stretch his
right hand forth.
Let him drive back our lost to us, let us return with what is lost.
Pūshan shall from the east place his right hand about us, shall bring again to us what has been lost: we shall come upon what has been lost!
