इद॒म् खनामि भेषजं॒ मांपश्य॒म् अभिरोरुद॒म् ।
परायतो॒ निव॒र्तनम् आयतः॒ प्रतिन॒न्दनम् ॥१॥
idám khanāmi bheṣajáṃ māṃpaśyám abhirorudám |
parāyató nivártanam āyatáḥ pratinándanam ||1||
Я копаю это целебное средство,
Привлекающее взоры ко мне, вызывающее стоны (любви), Возвращающее уходящего, Привечающее приходящего.
I dig this Healing Herb that makes my lover look on me and
weep;
That bids the parting friend return and kindly greets him as he
comes.
This potent herb do I dig out: it draws toward me the eve, causes (love's) tears. It brings back him who has gone to a distance, rejoices him that approaches me.
avś_07.038.02.
ये॒ना निचक्र॒ आसुरी॒न्द्रं देवे॒भ्यस् प॒रि ।
ते॒ना नि॒ कुर्वे त्वा॒म् अहं॒ य॒था ते॒ ऽसानि सु॒प्रिया ॥२॥
yénā nicakrá āsurī́ndraṃ devébhyas pári |
ténā ní kurve tvā́m aháṃ yáthā té 'sāni súpriyā ||2||
Чем асури покорила
Индру из среды богов,
Этим я покоряю тебя,
Чтобы стала я тебе очень милой!
This Herb wherewith the Asuri drew Indra downward from the
Gods,
With this same Herb I draw thee close that I may be most dear
to thee.
By (the plant) with which the Āsurī allured Indra away from the gods, by that do I subject thee, that I may be well-beloved of thee!
avś_07.038.03.
प्रती॒ची सो॒मम् असि प्रती॒ची उत॒ सू॒र्यम् ।
प्रती॒ची वि॒श्वान् देवा॒न् तां॒ त्वाछा॒वदामसि ॥३॥
pratī́cī sómam asi pratī́cī utá sū́ryam |
pratī́cī víśvān devā́n tā́ṃ tvāchā́vadāmasi ||3||
Ты обращена к Соме,
Ты обращена также к Сурье, Ты обращена ко всем богам - Тебя, такую, мы и приглашаем.
Thou art the peer of Soma, yea, thou art the equal of the Sun,
The peer of all the Gods art thou: therefore we call thee hither—
ward.
Thy face is turned towards Soma (the nioon), thy face is turned towards Sūrya (the sun), thy face is turned towards all the gods: 't is tliee here that we do invoke.
avś_07.038.04.
अहं॒ वदामि ने॒त् त्वं॒ सभा॒याम् अ॒ह त्वं॒ व॒द ।
म॒मे॒द् अ॒सस् त्वं॒ के॒वलो ना॒न्या॒सां कीर्त॒याश् चन॒ ॥४॥
aháṃ vadāmi nét tváṃ sabhā́yām áha tváṃ váda |
máméd ásas tváṃ kévalo nā́nyā́sāṃ kīrtáyāś caná ||4||
Я говорю, а не ты! Говори-ка ты в собрании! Пусть будешь ты только мой! Других (женщин) ты даже не поминай!
I am the speaker here, not thou: speak thou where the assembly
meets.
Thou shalt be mine and only mine, and never mention other
dames.
My speech, not thine, (in this matter) hath weight: in the assembly, forsooth, do thou speak! To me alone shalt thou belong, shalt not even discourse of other women!
avś_07.038.05.
य॒दि वा॒सि तिरोजनं॒ य॒दि वा नद्य॑स् तिरः॒इ ।
इयं॒ ह म॒ह्यं त्वा॒म् ओ॒षधिर् बद्ध्वे॒व न्या॒नयत् ॥५॥
yádi vā́si tirojanáṃ yádi vā nadyàs tiráḥi |
iyáṃ ha máhyaṃ tvā́m óṣadhir baddhvéva nyā́nayat ||5||
Если будешь ты в стороне от людей Или если - за рекой,
Эта самая трава, словно связав тебя, Пусть ко мне приведет!
If thou art far away beyond the rivers, far away from men,
This Herb shall seem to bind thee fast and bring thee back my
prisoner.
Whether thou art beyond the haunts of men, or whether across the river, this very herb, as if a captive bound, shall bring, thee back to me!
