अप्सु॒ ते राजन् वरुण गृहो॒ हिरण्य॒यो मितः॒ ।
त॒तो धृत॒व्रतो रा॒जा स॒र्वा धा॒मानि मुञ्चतु ॥१॥

apsú te rājan varuṇa gr̥hó hiraṇyáyo mitáḥ |
táto dhr̥távrato rā́jā sárvā dhā́māni muñcatu ||1||

В водах, о царь Варуна, Построен твой дом золотой. Оттуда царь, чей завет крепок, Пусть освободит от всех привязей!

Stablished amid the waters is, King Varuna, thy golden home.
Thence let the Sovran who maintains the statutes loose all bind-
ing cords.

Thy golden chamber, king Varuna, is built in the waters! Thence the king that maintains the laws shall loosen all shackles!

avś_07.083.02.

दा॒म्नोदाम्नो राजन्न् इतो॒ वरुण मुञ्च नः ।
य॒द् आ॒पो अघ्न्या॒ इ॒ति व॒रुणे॒ति य॒द् ऊचिम॒ त॒तो वरुण मुञ्च नः ॥२॥

dā́mnodāmno rājann itó varuṇa muñca naḥ |
yád ā́po aghnyā́ íti váruṇéti yád ūcimá táto varuṇa muñca naḥ ||2||

Отсюда, о Варуна, освободи Нас от любой привязи!
Если "О воды неприкосновенные!", Если "О Варуна!" мы сказали, От этого, о Варуна, освободи нас!

Hence free thou us, King Varuna, from each successive bond
and tie.
As we have cried, O Varuna! have said, The Waters, they are
kine, thence set us free, O Varuna.

From every habitation (of thine), O king Varuna, from here do thou free us! In that we have said, 'ye waters, ye cows;' in that we have said, 'O Varuna,' from this (sin), O Varuna, free us!

avś_07.083.03.

उ॒द् उत्तमं॒ वरुण पा॒शम् अस्म॒द् अ॒वाधमं॒ वि॒ मध्यमं॒ श्रथाय ।
अ॒धा वय॒म् आदित्य व्रते॒ तवा॒नागसो अ॒दितये स्याम ॥३॥

úd uttamáṃ varuṇa pā́śam asmád ávādhamáṃ ví madhyamáṃ śrathāya |
ádhā vayám āditya vraté tavā́nāgaso áditaye syāma ||3||

Вверх - верхнюю петлю с нас, о Варуна,
Вниз - нижнюю, распусти среднюю!
Тогда сможем мы, о Адитья, пребывать
В твоем завете безгрешными перед Адити!

Loosen the bonds, O Varuna, that hold us, loosen the bond.
above, between, and under.
So before Aditi may we be sinless under thy favouring auspices,
Āditya!

Lift from us, O Varuna, the uppermost fetter, take down the nethermost, loosen the middlemost! Then shall we, O Āditya, in thy law, exempt from guilt, live in freedom!

avś_07.083.04.

प्रा॒स्म॒त् पा॒शान् वरुण मुञ्च स॒र्वान् य॒ उत्तमा॒ अधमा॒ वारुणा॒ ये॒ ।
दुष्व॒प्न्यं दुरितं॒ नि॒ ष्वास्म॒द् अ॒थ गछेम सुकृत॒स्य लोक॒म् ॥४॥

prā́smát pā́śān varuṇa muñca sárvān yá uttamā́ adhamā́ vāruṇā́ yé |
duṣvápnyaṃ duritáṃ ní ṣvāsmád átha gachema sukr̥tásya lokám ||4||

Освободи нас от всех петель, о Варуна,
Которые высшие, низшие, которые принадлежат Варуне!
Прогони от нас дурной сон, беду!
Тогда пусть отправимся мы в мир благого деяния!

Varuna, free us from all snares that bind us, Varuna's bonds, the
upper and the lower.
Drive from us evil dream, drive off misfortune: then let us pass
into the world of virtue.

Loosen from us, O Varuna, all fetters, the uppermost, the nethermost, and those imposed by Varuna! Evil dreams, and misfortune drive away from us: then may we go to the world of the pious!
