avś_08.002.01.
आ॒ रभस्वेमा॒म् अमृ॒तस्य श्नु॒ष्टिम् अ॒छिद्यमाना जर॒दष्टिर् अस्तु ते ।
अ॒सुं त आ॒युः पु॒नर् आ॒ भरामि र॒जस् त॒मो मो॒प गा मा॒ प्र॒ मेष्ठाः ॥१॥
ā́ rabhasvemā́m amŕ̥tasya śnúṣṭim áchidyamānā jarádaṣṭir astu te |
ásuṃ ta ā́yuḥ púnar ā́ bharāmi rájas támo mópa gā mā́ prá meṣṭhāḥ ||1||
Держись за эту меру (?) бессмертия!
Да будет тебе неурезанное долголетие!
Снова приношу я тебе жизненную силу,
Не приближайся ко мгле, к мраку! Не погибай!
Seize to thyself this trust of life for ever: thine be longevity
which nothing shortens.
Thy spirit and thy life again I bring thee: die not, nor vanish
into mist and darkness.
Take hold of this (charm) that subjects to immortality (life), may thy life unto old age not be cut off! I bring to thee anew breath and life: not to mist and darkness, do not waste away!
avś_08.002.02.
जी॒वतां ज्यो॒तिर् अभ्ये॒ह्य् अर्वा॒ङ् आ॒ त्वा हरामि शत॒शारदाय ।
अवमुञ्च॒न् मृत्युपाशा॒न् अ॒शस्तिं द्रा॒घीय आ॒युः प्रतरं॒ ते दधामि ॥२॥
jī́vatāṃ jyótir abhyéhy arvā́ṅ ā́ tvā harāmi śatáśāradāya |
avamuñcán mr̥tyupāśā́n áśastiṃ drā́ghīya ā́yuḥ prataráṃ te dadhāmi ||2||
Приди в наши края к свету живущих!
Я беру тебя для жизни в сто осеней.
Ослабляя путы Смерти, проклятие,
Я устанавливаю тебе впредь больший срок жизни.
Come to the light of living men, come hither: I draw thee to a
life of hundred autumns.
Loosing the bonds of Death, the curse that holds thee, I give thee
age of very long duration.
Come hither to the light of the living; I rescue thee unto a life of a hundred autumns! Loosing the bands of death and imprecation, I bestow upon thee long life extended very far.
avś_08.002.03.
वा॒तात् ते प्रान॒म् अविदं सू॒र्याच् च॒क्षुर् अहं॒ त॒व ।
य॒त् ते म॒नस् त्व॒यि त॒द् धारयामि सं॒ वित्स्वा॒ङ्गैर् व॒द जिह्व॒या॒लपन् ॥३॥
vā́tāt te prānám avidaṃ sū́ryāc cákṣur aháṃ táva |
yát te mánas tváyi tád dhārayāmi sáṃ vitsvā́ṅgair váda jihváyā́lapan ||3||
У ветра я нашел твое дыхание,
У солнца — зрение твое.
Что мысль у тебя, то в тебе я удерживаю.
Владей (своими) членами!
Говори языком, не заговариваясь!
Thy breath have I recovered from the Wind, thy vision from the
Sun.
Thy mind I stablish and secure within thee: feel in thy members,.
use thy tongue, conversing.
From the wind thy breath I have obtained, from the sun thine eye; thy soul I hold fast in thee: be together with thy limbs, speak articulating with thy tongue!
avś_08.002.04.
प्राणे॒न त्वा द्विप॒दां च॒तुष्पदाम् अग्नि॒म् इव जात॒म् अभि॒ सं॒ धमामि ।
न॒मस् ते मृत्यो च॒क्षुषे न॒मः प्राणा॒य ते ऽकरम् ॥४॥
prāṇéna tvā dvipádāṃ cátuṣpadām agním iva jātám abhí sáṃ dhamāmi |
námas te mr̥tyo cákṣuṣe námaḥ prāṇā́ya te 'karam ||4||
Дыханием двуногих (и) четвероногих
Тебя я раздуваю,
Как народившийся огонь.
Поклон твоему взгляду, о Смерть,
Поклон твоему дыханию сделал я.
I blow upon thee with the breath of bipeds and quadrupeds, as
on a fire new-kindled.
To thee, O Death, and to thy sight and breath have I paid
reverence.
With the breath of two-footed and four-footed creatures I blow upon thee, as on Agni when he is born (as on fire when kindled). I have paid reverence, O death, to thine eye, reverence to thy breath.
avś_08.002.05.
अयं॒ जीवतु मा॒ मृतेमं॒ स॒म् ईरयामसि ।
कृणो॒म्य् अस्मै भेषजं॒ मृ॒त्यो मा॒ पु॒रुषं वधीः ॥५॥
ayáṃ jīvatu mā́ mr̥temáṃ sám īrayāmasi |
kr̥ṇómy asmai bheṣajáṃ mŕ̥tyo mā́ púruṣaṃ vadhīḥ ||5||
Пусть он живет! Да не умрет он!
Мы оживляем его.
Я готовлю ему лекарство.
О Смерть, не убивай человека!
Let this man live, let him not die: we raise him, we recover him.
I make for him a healing balm. O Death, forbear to slay this
man.
This (man) shall live and shall not die: we rouse this man (to life)! I make for him a remedy: O death, do not slay the man!
avś_08.002.06.
जीवलां॒ नघारिषां॒ जीवन्ती॒म् ओ॒षधीम् अह॒म् ।
त्रायमाणां॒ स॒हमानां स॒हस्वतीम् इह॒ हुवे ऽस्मा॒ अरिष्ट॒तातये ॥६॥
jīvalā́ṃ naghāriṣā́ṃ jīvantī́m óṣadhīm ahám |
trāyamāṇā́ṃ sáhamānāṃ sáhasvatīm ihá huve 'smā́ ariṣṭátātaye ||6||
Живительную, вовсе не вредную,
Живучую траву,
Охраняющую, побеждающую,
Победительницу я зову сюда
Для невредимости его.
Here for sound health I invocate a living animating plant,
Preserving, queller of disease, victorious, full of power and
might.
The plant gīvalā (quickening'), na-ghā-rishā ('forsooth-no-harm'), and gīvantī ('living), a victorious, mighty saviour-plant do I invoke, that he may be exempt from injury.
avś_08.002.07.
अ॒धि ब्रूहि मा॒ रभथाः सृजे॒मं॒ त॒वैव॒ स॒न्त् स॒र्वहायाः इहा॒स्तु ।
भ॒वाशर्वौ मृड॒तं श॒र्म यछतम् अपसि॒ध्य दुरितं॒ धत्तम् आ॒युः ॥७॥
ádhi brūhi mā́ rabhathāḥ sr̥jémáṃ távaivá sánt sárvahāyāḥ ihā́stu |
bhávāśarvau mr̥ḍátaṃ śárma yachatam apasídhya duritáṃ dhattam ā́yuḥ ||7||
Вступись (за него)! Не держись (за него)! Отпусти его!
Даже будучи твоим, пусть будет он здесь с полными годами!
О Бхава-и-Шарва, смилуйтесь, даруйте защиту!
Прогнав неудачу, положите (ему) срок жизни!
Seize him not, but encourage and release him: here let him stay,
though thine, in all his vigour.
Bhava and Sarva, pity and protect him: give him full life and
drive away misfortunes.
Befriend him, do not seize him, let him go, (O death); though he be thy very own, let him abide here with unimpaired strength! O Bhava and Sarva, take pity, grant Protection; misfortune drive away, and life bestow!
avś_08.002.08.
अस्मै॒ मृत्यो अ॒धि ब्रूहीमं॒ दयस्वो॒द् इतो॒ ऽय॒म् एतु ।
अ॒रिष्टः स॒र्वाङ्गः सुश्रु॒ज् जर॒सा शत॒हायन आत्म॒ना भु॒जम् अश्नुताम् ॥८॥
asmái mr̥tyo ádhi brūhīmáṃ dayasvód itó 'yám etu |
áriṣṭaḥ sárvāṅgaḥ suśrúj jarásā śatáhāyana ātmánā bhújam aśnutām ||8||
Вступись за него, о Смерть!
Пожалей его! Пусть уйдет он отсюда вверх!
Невредимый, с целыми членами, с хорошим слухом,
Доведенный старостью до ста лет —
Да насладится он собой!
Comfort him, Death, and pity him: let him arise and pass away,
Unharmed, with all his members, hearing well, with old, may he
through hundred years win profit with his soul.
Befriend him, death, and pity him: may he from here arise! Unharmed, with sound limbs, hearing perfectly, through old age carrying a hundred years, let him get enjoyment by himself (unaided)!
avś_08.002.09.
देवा॒नां हेतिः॒ प॒रि त्वा वृणक्तु पार॒यामि त्वा र॒जस उ॒त् त्वा मृत्यो॒र् अपीपरम् ।
आरा॒द् अग्निं॒ क्रव्या॒दं निरू॒हं जीवा॒तवे ते परिधिं॒ दधामि ॥९॥
devā́nāṃ hetíḥ pári tvā vr̥ṇaktu pāráyāmi tvā rájasa út tvā mr̥tyór apīparam |
ārā́d agníṃ kravyā́daṃ nirū́haṃ jīvā́tave te paridhíṃ dadhāmi ||9||
Да минует тебя дротик богов!
Я переправляю тебя из мрака.
Вверх переправил я тебя от Смерти.
Далеко отстраняя Агни — пожирателя мяса,
Я устанавливаю тебе для жизни ограду.
May the Gods' missile pass thee by. I bring thee safe from the
mist: from death have I preserved thee.
Far have I banished flesh-consuming Agni: I place a rampart
for thy life's protection.
The missile of the gods shall pass thee by! I pass thee across the mist (of death); from death I have rescued thee. Removing far the flesh-devouring Agni, a barrier do I set around thee, that thou mayest live.
avś_08.002.10.
य॒त् ते निया॒नं रजसं॒ मृ॒त्यो अनवधर्ष्य॑म् ।
पथ॒ इमं॒ त॒स्माद् र॒क्षन्तो ब्र॒ह्मास्मै व॒र्म कृण्मसि ॥१०॥ {३}
yát te niyā́naṃ rajasáṃ mŕ̥tyo anavadharṣyàm |
pathá imáṃ tásmād rákṣanto bráhmāsmai várma kr̥ṇmasi ||10|| {3}
То нисхождение к тебе во мрак,
О Смерть, которому нельзя сопротивляться, —
Спасая его от этого пути,
Мы делаем заклинание ему щитом.
Saving him from that misty path of thine which cannot be
defined.
From that descent of thine, O Death, we make for him a shield
of prayer.
From thy misty road that cannot be withstood, O death, from this path (of thine) we guard this (man), and make our charm a protection for him.
avś_08.002.11.
कृणो॒मि ते प्राणापानौ॒ जरां॒ मृत्युं॒ दीर्घ॒म् आ॒युः स्वस्ति॒ ।
वैवस्वते॒न प्र॒हितान् यमदूतां॒श् चरतो॒ ऽप सेधामि स॒र्वान् ॥११॥
kr̥ṇómi te prāṇāpānáu jarā́ṃ mr̥tyúṃ dīrghám ā́yuḥ svastí |
vaivasvaténa práhitān yamadūtā́ṃś carató 'pa sedhāmi sárvān ||11||
Я создаю тебе вдох-и-выдох,
Смерть в старости, долголетие, счастье.
Вестников Ямы, посланных сыном Вивасвата,
Бродящих вокруг, я прогоняю всех.
I give thee both the acts of breath, health, lengthened life, and
death by age.
All Yama's messengers who roam around, sent by Vaivasvata,
I chase away.
In-breathing and out-breathing. do I prepare for thee, death in old age, long life, and prosperity. All the messengers of Yama, that roam about, dispatched by Vivasvant's son, do I drive away.
avś_08.002.12.
आरा॒द् अ॒रातिं नि॒रृतिं परो॒ ग्रा॒हिं क्रव्या॒दः पिशाचा॒न् ।
र॒क्षो य॒त् स॒र्वं दुर्भूतं॒ त॒त् त॒म इवा॒प हन्मसि ॥१२॥
ārā́d árātiṃ nírr̥tiṃ paró grā́hiṃ kravyā́daḥ piśācā́n |
rákṣo yát sárvaṃ durbhūtáṃ tát táma ivā́pa hanmasi ||12||
Далеко (я прогоняю) Скупость, Гибель,
Вон — Грахи и пожирающих мясо пишачей.
Каждого ракшаса, у кого дурная природа, —
Это мы отбиваем прочь, словно во мрак.
Far off we drive Malignity, Destruction, Pisāchas banqueters on
flesh, and Grāhi.
And all the demon kind, the brood of sin, like darkness, we
dispel.
Arāti (grudge), Nirriti (destruction), Grāhi (seizure), and the flesh-devouring Pisākas (do we drive) away to a distance, and hurl all wicked Rakshas away into darkness as it were.
avś_08.002.13.
अग्ने॒ष् ट प्रान॒म् अमृ॒ताद् आ॒युष्मतो वन्वे जात॒वेदसः ।
य॒था न॒ रि॒ष्या अमृ॒तः सजू॒र् अ॒सस् त॒त् ते कृणोमि त॒द् उ ते स॒म् ऋध्यताम् ॥१३॥
agnéṣ ṭa prānám amŕ̥tād ā́yuṣmato vanve jātávedasaḥ |
yáthā ná ríṣyā amŕ̥taḥ sajū́r ásas tát te kr̥ṇomi tád u te sám r̥dhyatām ||13||
У бессмертного Агни я отвоевываю твое дыхание,
У Джатаведаса, владеющего сроком жизни,
Чтобы ты не потерпел вреда, был бессмертным в союзе (с ним), —
Это я делаю для тебя, и да будет тебе в этом удача!
I win thy life from Agni, from the living everlasting Jātavedas.
This I procure for thee, that thou, undying, mayst not suffer
harm, that thou mayst be content, that all be well with thee.
I crave thy life's breath from the immortal, life-possessing Agni Gātavedas. That thou shalt not take harm, shalt be immortal in (Agni's) company, that do I procure for thee, and that shall be fulfilled for thee!
avś_08.002.14.
शिवे॒ ते स्तां द्या॒वापृथिवी॒ असंतापे॒ अभिश्रि॒यौ ।
शं॒ ते सू॒र्य आ॒ तपतु शं॒ वा॒तो वातु ते हृदे॒ ।
शिवा॒ अभि॒ क्षरन्तु त्वा॒पो दिव्याः॒ प॒यस्वतीः ॥१४॥
śivé te stāṃ dyā́vāpr̥thivī́ asaṃtāpé abhiśríyau |
śáṃ te sū́rya ā́ tapatu śáṃ vā́to vātu te hr̥dé |
śivā́ abhí kṣarantu tvā́po divyā́ḥ páyasvatīḥ ||14||
Да будут Небо-и-Земля милостивыми к тебе,
Не причиняющими боли, дающими счастье (?)!
Благо тебе пусть воссветит солнце!
Благо тебе в сердце пусть навеет ветер!
Да окропят тебя милостивые
Небесные воды, богатые молоком!
Gracious to thee be Heaven and Earth, bringing no grief, and
drawing nigh!
Pleasantly shine the Sun for thee, the Wind blow sweetly to
thy heart!
Let the celestial Waters full of milk flow happily for thee.
May heaven and earth, the bestowers of happiness, be auspicious and harmless to thee; may the sun-shine, and the wind blow comfort to thy heart; may the heavenly waters, rich in milk, flow upon thee kindly!
avś_08.002.15.
शिवा॒स् ते सन्त्व् ओ॒षधय उ॒त् त्वाहार्षम् अ॒धरस्या उ॒त्तरां पृथिवी॒म् अभि॒ ।
त॒त्र त्वादित्यौ॒ रक्षतां सूर्याचन्द्रम॒साव् उभा॒ ॥१५॥
śivā́s te santv óṣadhaya út tvāhārṣam ádharasyā úttarāṃ pr̥thivī́m abhí |
tátra tvādityáu rakṣatāṃ sūryācandramásāv ubhā́ ||15||
Да будут милостивы к тебе травы!
Я вытащил тебя из нижней
На верхнюю землю.
Да защитят тебя там два Адитьи:
Солнце-и-Луна, оба!
Auspicious be the Plants to thee! I have upraised thee, borne
thee from the lower to the upper earth:
Let the two Sons of Aditi, the Sun and Moon, protect thee there.
May the plants be auspicious to thee! I have raised thee from the lower to the upper earth: there may both the Ādityas, the sun and the moon, . protect thee.
avś_08.002.16.
य॒त् ते वा॒सः परिधा॒नं यां॒ नीविं॒ कृणुषे॒ त्व॒म् ।
शिवं॒ ते तन्वे॑ त॒त् कृण्मः संस्पर्शे॒ ऽद्रूक्ष्णम् अस्तु ते ॥१६॥
yát te vā́saḥ paridhā́naṃ yā́ṃ nīvíṃ kr̥ṇuṣé tvám |
śiváṃ te tanvè tát kr̥ṇmaḥ saṃsparśé 'drūkṣṇam astu te ||16||
Та одежда для завертывания, что (есть) у тебя,
(И) та нижняя повязка, что ты себе делаешь, —
Благоприятной для твоего тела мы делаем ее.
Пусть не будет она тебе грубой наощупь!
Whatever robe to cover thee or zone thou makest for thyself,
We make it pleasant to thy frame: may it be soft and smooth
to touch.
Whatever garment for clothing, or whatever girdle thou makest for thyself, agreeable to thy body do we render it; not rough to thy touch shall it be!
avś_08.002.17.
य॒त् क्षुरे॒ण मर्च॒यता सुतेज॒सा व॒प्ता व॒पसि केशश्मश्रु॒ ।
शु॒भं मु॒खं मा॒ न आ॒युः प्र॒ मोषीः ॥१७॥
yát kṣuréṇa marcáyatā sutejásā váptā vápasi keśaśmaśrú |
śúbhaṃ múkhaṃ mā́ na ā́yuḥ prá moṣīḥ ||17||
Когда опасным, очень острым лезвием
Ты, брадобрей, бреешь волосы и бороду,
Делая лицо красивым (?), не урви срок нашей жизни!
When, with a very keen and cleasing razor, our hair and beards
thou shavest as a barber,
Smoothing our face steal not our vital forces.
When thou, the barber, shearest with thy sharp well-whetted razor our hair and beard, do not, while cleansing our face, rob us of our life!
avś_08.002.18.
शिवौ॒ ते स्तां व्रीहियवा॒व् अबलासा॒व् अदोमधौ॒ ।
एतौ॒ य॒क्ष्मं वि॒ बाधेते एतौ॒ मुञ्चतो अं॒हसः ॥१८॥
śiváu te stāṃ vrīhiyavā́v abalāsā́v adomadháu |
etáu yákṣmaṃ ví bādhete etáu muñcato áṃhasaḥ ||18||
Да будут милостивы к тебе рис и ячмень,
Не вызывающие баласу, не причиняющие недугов.
Они изгоняют якшму.
Они освобождают от беды.
Auspicious unto thee be rice and barley, causing no painful sick-
ness or consumption, these deliver from calamity.
Rice and barley shall be auspicious to thee, causing no balāsa, inflicting no injury! They two drive away disease, they two release from calamity.
avś_08.002.19.
य॒द् अश्ना॒सि य॒त् पिबसि धान्यं॑ कृष्याः॒ प॒यः ।
य॒द् आद्यं॑ य॒द् अनाद्यं॒ स॒र्वं ते अ॒न्नम् अविषं॒ कृणोमि ॥१९॥
yád aśnā́si yát pibasi dhānyàṃ kr̥ṣyā́ḥ páyaḥ |
yád ādyàṃ yád anādyáṃ sárvaṃ te ánnam aviṣáṃ kr̥ṇomi ||19||
Что ты ешь, что ты пьешь,
Зерна с нивы, молоко,
Что можно есть, чего нельзя есть —
Всю твою еду я делаю лишенной яда.
Thy food, thy drink, whate'er they be corn grown by cultivation,
milk,
Food eatable, uneatable, I make all poisonless for thee.
Whatever thou eatest or drinkest, the grain of the plough-land or milk, whatever is or is not to be eaten, all that food do I render for thee free from poison.
avś_08.002.20.
अ॒ह्ने च त्वा रा॒त्रये चोभा॒भ्यां प॒रि दद्मसि ।
अरा॒येभ्यो जिघत्सु॒भ्य इमं॒ मे प॒रि रक्षत ॥२०॥ {४}
áhne ca tvā rā́traye cobhā́bhyāṃ pári dadmasi |
arā́yebhyo jighatsúbhya imáṃ me pári rakṣata ||20|| {4}
И дню, и ночи — обоим
Мы вручаем тебя.
От жадных (демонов), желающих сожрать (его),
Охраняйте его для меня!
We give thee over as a charge to Day and Night, in trust to
both.
Keep him for me from stingy fiends, from those who fain would
feed on him.
To day and to night both do we commit thee: from the demons that seek to devour, do ye preserve this (man) for me!
avś_08.002.21.
शतं॒ ते ऽयु॒तं हायना॒न् द्वे॒ युगे॒ त्री॒णि चत्वा॒रि कृण्मः ।
इन्द्राग्नी॒ वि॒श्वे देवा॒स् ते॒ ऽनु मन्यन्ताम् अ॒हृणीयमानाः ॥२१॥
śatáṃ te 'yútaṃ hāyanā́n dvé yugé trī́ṇi catvā́ri kr̥ṇmaḥ |
indrāgnī́ víśve devā́s té 'nu manyantām áhr̥ṇīyamānāḥ ||21||
Мы создаем тебе сотню, несметное число лет,
Два периода жизни, три, четыре.
Пусть Индра-Агни, Все-Боги
Одобрят тебя, невраждебные!
A hundred, yea, ten thousand years we give thee, ages two,
three, four.
May Indra, Agni, all the Gods, with willing favour look on thee.
A hundred years, ten thousand years, two, three, four ages (yuga) do we allot to thee; Indra and Agni, and all the gods without anger shall favour thee!
avś_08.002.22.
शर॒दे त्वा हेमन्ता॒य वसन्ता॒य ग्रीष्मा॒य प॒रि दद्मसि ।
वर्षा॒णि तु॒भ्यं स्योना॒नि ये॒षु व॒र्धन्त ओ॒षधीः ॥२२॥
śaráde tvā hemantā́ya vasantā́ya grīṣmā́ya pári dadmasi |
varṣā́ṇi túbhyaṃ syonā́ni yéṣu várdhanta óṣadhīḥ ||22||
Мы вручаем тебя осени,
Зиме, весне, лету.
(Да будут) добрыми к тебе
Дожди, от которых травы растут!
To Autumn we deliver thee, to Winter, Spring and Summer's
care.
We trust thee with auspicious years wherein the plants and herbs
grow up.
To autumn thee, to winter, spring and summer, do we commit; the rains in which grow the plants shall be pleasant to thee!
avś_08.002.23.
मृत्यु॒र् ईशे द्विप॒दां मृत्यु॒र् ईशे च॒तुष्पदाम् ।
त॒स्मात् त्वां॒ मृत्यो॒र् गो॒पतेर् उ॒द् भरामि स॒ मा॒ बिभेः ॥२३॥
mr̥tyúr īśe dvipádāṃ mr̥tyúr īśe cátuṣpadām |
tásmāt tvā́ṃ mr̥tyór gópater úd bharāmi sá mā́ bibheḥ ||23||
Смерть повелевает двуногими,
Смерть повелевает четвероногими.
От этой Смерти-повелительницы
Я поднимаю тебя вверх. Не бойся!
Death is the lord of bipeds, Death is sovran lord of quadrupeds.
Away I bear thee from that: Death the ruler: be not thou
afraid.
Death rules over bipeds, death rules over quadrupeds. From that death, the lord of cattle, do I rescue thee: do not fear!
avś_08.002.24.
सो॒ ऽरिष्ट न॒ मरिष्यसि न॒ मरिष्यसि मा॒ बिभेः ।
न॒ वै॒ त॒त्र म्रियन्ते नो॒ यन्ति अधमं॒ त॒मः ॥२४॥
só 'riṣṭa ná mariṣyasi ná mariṣyasi mā́ bibheḥ |
ná vái tátra mriyante nó yanti adhamáṃ támaḥ ||24||
Невредимый, ты не умрешь.
Не умрешь ты, не бойся!
Ведь не там умирают (люди)
И не (там) уходят в нижний мрак.
Thou, still uninjured, shalt not die: be not afraid; thou shalt
not die.
Here where I am men do not die or go to lowest depths of
gloom.
Free from harm thou shalt not die; thou shalt not die: do not fear! Verily, they do not die there, they do not go to the nethermost darkness; —
avś_08.002.25.
स॒र्वो वै॒ त॒त्र जीवति गौ॒र् अ॒श्वः पु॒रुषः पशुः॒ ।
य॒त्रेदं॒ ब्र॒ह्म क्रिय॒ते परिधि॒र् जी॒वनाय क॒म् ॥२५॥
sárvo vái tátra jīvati gáur áśvaḥ púruṣaḥ paśúḥ |
yátredáṃ bráhma kriyáte paridhír jī́vanāya kám ||25||
Ведь живет каждый там:
Бык, конь, человек, мелкий скот,
Где исполняется это заклинание —
Отрада для жизни.
Here verily all creatures live, the cow, the horse, the man, the
beast,
Here where this holy prayer is used, a rampart that protecteth
life.
Let it preserve thee from thy peers, from incantation, from thy
friends.
Verily, every creature lives there, the cow, the horse, and man, where this charm is performed, as the (protecting) barrier for life.
avś_08.002.26.
प॒रि त्वा पातु समाने॒भ्यो ऽभिचारा॒त् स॒बन्धुभ्यः ।
अ॒मम्रिर् भवामृ॒तो ऽतिजीवो॒ मा॒ ते हासिषुर् अ॒सवः श॒रीरम् ॥२६॥
pári tvā pātu samānébhyo 'bhicārā́t sábandhubhyaḥ |
ámamrir bhavāmŕ̥to 'tijīvó mā́ te hāsiṣur ásavaḥ śárīram ||26||
Пусть охранит оно тебя от подобных (тебе),
От колдовства, от сородичей!
Будь неумирающим, бессмертным,
С избытком жизни! Да не покинет
Твое тело дыхание жизни!
Live very long, be healthy, be immortal: let not the vital breath
forsake thy body.
May it preserve thee from sorcery, from thy equals and thy kin! Undying be, immortal, exceedingly vital; thy spirits shall not abandon thy body!
avś_08.002.27.
ये॒ मृत्य॒व ए॒कशतं या॒ नाष्ट्रा॒ अतितार्याः॑ ।
मुञ्च॒न्तु त॒स्मात् त्वां॒ देवा॒ अग्ने॒र् वैश्वानरा॒द् अ॒धि ॥२७॥
yé mr̥tyáva ékaśataṃ yā́ nāṣṭrā́ atitāryā̀ḥ |
muñcántu tásmāt tvā́ṃ devā́ agnér vaiśvānarā́d ádhi ||27||
Те смерти, что (числом) сто одна,
И те опасности, что надо превозмочь, —
Пусть боги избавят тебя от этого
(И) от Агни Вайшванары!
One and a hundred modes of death, dangers that may be over-
come,
May Gods deliver thee from this when Agni, dear to all men,
bids.
From the one and a hundred deaths, from the dangers that are surmountable, from that Agai Vaisvānara (the funeral pyre?) may the gods deliver thee!
avś_08.002.28.
अग्नेः॒ श॒रीरम् असि पारयिष्णु॒ रक्षोहा॒सि सपत्नहा॒ ।
अ॒थो अमीवचा॒तनः पूतु॒द्रुर् ना॒म भेषज॒म् ॥२८॥ {५}
agnéḥ śárīram asi pārayiṣṇú rakṣohā́si sapatnahā́ |
átho amīvacā́tanaḥ pūtúdrur nā́ma bheṣajám ||28|| {5}
Ты — тело Агни, (ты) успешно достигающий цели.
Ты — убийца ракшасов, убийца соперников,
А также устранитель недугов —
Лекарство по имени путудру.
Body of Agni prompt to save, slayer of fiends and foes art thou,
Yea, banisher of malady, the healing balm called Pūtudru.
Thou, the remedy called p6tudru, art the body of Agni, the deliverer, slayer of Rakshas, slayer of rivals, moreover thou chasest away disease.
