उपमि॒तां प्रतिमि॒ताम् अ॒थो परिमि॒ताम् उत॒ ।
शा॒लाया विश्व॒वाराया नद्धा॒नि वि॒ चृतामसि ॥१॥
upamítāṃ pratimítām átho parimítām utá |
śā́lāyā viśvávārāyā naddhā́ni ví cr̥tāmasi ||1||
У подпорок, опор,
А также у перекрытий
Хижины, в которой все лучшее,
Мы развязываем (всё), что связано.
We loose the ties and fastenings of the house that holds all
precious things,
The bands of pillars and of stays, the ties of beams that form
the roof.
The fastenings of the buttresses, the supports, and also of the connectinc, beams of the house, that abounds in treasures, do we loosen.
avś_09.003.02.
य॒त् ते नद्धं॒ विश्ववारे पा॒शो ग्रन्थि॒श् च यः॒ कृतः॒ ।
बृ॒हस्प॒तिर् इवाहं॒ बलं॒ वाचा॒ वि॒ स्रंसयामि त॒त् ॥२॥
yát te naddháṃ viśvavāre pā́śo granthíś ca yáḥ kr̥táḥ |
bŕ̥haspátir ivāháṃ baláṃ vācā́ ví sraṃsayāmi tát ||2||
Что у тебя связано, о ты, в которой все лучшее,
Какая петля и узел сделаны,
С помощью заклинания я заставляю это распасться,
Как Брихаспати — Балу.
All-wealthy House! each knot and band, each cord that is
attached to thee
I with my spell untie, as erst Brihaspati disclosed the cave.
O (house) rich in all treasures! the fetter which has been bound about thee, and the knot which has been fastened upon thee, that with my charm do I undo, as Brihaspati (undid) Vala.
avś_09.003.03.
आ॒ ययाम सं॒ बबर्ह ग्रन्थीं॒श् चकार ते दृढा॒न् ।
प॒रूंषि विद्वां॒ छ॒स्तेवे॒न्द्रेण वि॒ चृतामसि ॥३॥
ā́ yayāma sáṃ babarha granthī́ṃś cakāra te dr̥ḍhā́n |
párūṃṣi vidvā́ṃ chástevéndreṇa ví cr̥tāmasi ||3||
Он затянул, скрепил узлы,
Сделал (их) у тебя прочными.
Как опытный заклатель (разнимает) суставы,
Вместе с Индрой мы развязываем (их).
He drew them close, he pressed them fast, he made thy knotted.
bands secure:
With Indra's help we loose them as a skilful Slaughterer severs
joints.
(The builder) has drawn thee to,,ether, pressed thee together, placed firm knots upon thee. Skilfully, as the priest who butchers (the sacrificial animal), do we with Indra's aid disjoint thy limbs.
avś_09.003.04.
वंशा॒नां ते न॒हनानां प्राणाह॒स्य तृ॒णस्य च ।
पक्षा॒णां विश्ववारे ते नद्धा॒नि वि॒ चृतामसि ॥४॥
vaṃśā́nāṃ te náhanānāṃ prāṇāhásya tŕ̥ṇasya ca |
pakṣā́ṇāṃ viśvavāre te naddhā́ni ví cr̥tāmasi ||4||
У стропил, у твоих скреп
И у связующей травы,
У боковых столбов твоих, о ты, в которой все лучшее,
Мы развязываем (все), что связано.
We loose the bands of thy bamboos, of bolts, of fastening, of
thatch,
We loose the ties of thy side-posts, O House that holdest all we
prize.
From thy beams, thy bolts, thy frame, and thy thatch; from thy sides, (O house) abounding in treasures, do we loosen the fastenings.
avś_09.003.05.
संदंशा॒नां पलदा॒नां प॒रिष्वञ्जल्यस्य च ।
इदं॒ मा॒नस्य प॒त्न्या नद्धा॒नि वि॒ चृतामसि ॥५॥
saṃdaṃśā́nāṃ paladā́nāṃ páriṣvañjalyasya ca |
idáṃ mā́nasya pátnyā naddhā́ni ví cr̥tāmasi ||5||
У скоб, у соломенных покрытий
И у связующего крепления —
Вот у хозяйки строения
Мы развязываем (все), что связано.
We loosen here the ties and bands of straw in bundles, and of
clamps,
Of all that compasses and binds the Lady Genius of the Home.
The fastenings of the dove-tailed (joints), of the reed (-covering), of the frame-work, do we loosen here from the 'mistress of dwelling.'
avś_09.003.06.
या॒नि ते ऽन्तः॒ शिक्या॑न्य् आबेधू॒ रण्या॑य क॒म् ।
प्र॒ ते ता॒नि चृतामसि शिवा॒ मानस्य पत्नि न उ॒द्धिता तन्वे॑ भव ॥६॥
yā́ni te 'ntáḥ śikyā̀ny ābedhū́ raṇyā̀ya kám |
prá te tā́ni cr̥tāmasi śivā́ mānasya patni na úddhitā tanvè bhava ||6||
Те висячие сосуды,
Что привязали внутри тебя на радость, —
Мы отвязываем их у тебя.
О хозяйка строения, когда (тебя) поставят,
Будь милостива к нам самим!
We loose the loops which men have bound within thee, loops
to tie and hold.
Be gracious, when erected, to our bodies, Lady of the Home.
The ropes which they have tied within thee for comfort, these do we loosen from thee; be thou propitious to our persons, O mistress of dwelling, after thou hast (again) been erected!

हविर्धा॒नम् अग्निशा॒लं प॒त्नीनां स॒दनं स॒दः ।
स॒दो देवा॒नाम् असि देवि शाले ॥७॥
havirdhā́nam agniśā́laṃ pátnīnāṃ sádanaṃ sádaḥ |
sádo devā́nām asi devi śāle ||7||
Жертвенник, очаг для огня,
Место для жен, сиденье...
Ты — сиденье богов, о божественная хижина!
Store-house of Soma, Agni's hall, the ladies' bower, the resi-
dence,
The seat of Gods art thou, O Goddess House.
A receptacle for Soma, a house for Agni, a seat for the mistresses (of the house), a seat (for the priests), a seat for the gods art thou, O goddess house!
avś_09.003.08.
अ॒क्षुम् ओ॒पशं॒ वि॒ततं सहस्राक्षं॒ विषूव॒ति ।
अ॒वनद्धम् अभि॒हितं ब्र॒ह्मणा वि॒ चृतामसि ॥८॥
ákṣum ópaśáṃ vítataṃ sahasrākṣáṃ viṣūváti |
ávanaddham abhíhitaṃ bráhmaṇā ví cr̥tāmasi ||8||
Тысячеглазую сеть,
Протянутую как коса посередине,
Подвязанную (и) уложенную,
Мы развязываем с молитвой.
We with our incantation loose the net that hath a thousand.
eyes.
The diadem, securely tied and laid upon the central beam.
Thy covering of wicker-work, with thousand eyes, stretched out upon thy crown, fastened down and laid on, do we loosen with (this) charm.
avś_09.003.09.
य॒स् त्वा शाले प्रतिगृह्णा॒ति ये॒न चा॒सि मिता॒ त्व॒म् ।
उभौ॒ मानस्य पत्नि तौ॒ जी॒वतां जर॒दष्टी ॥९॥
yás tvā śāle pratigr̥hṇā́ti yéna cā́si mitā́ tvám |
ubháu mānasya patni táu jī́vatāṃ jarádaṣṭī ||9||
Кто тебя забирает, о хижина,
(И) кем ты построена —
Пусть оба они, о хозяйка строения,
Доживут до достижения старости!
The man who takes thee as his own, and he who was thy builder,.
House!
Both these, O Lady of the Home, shall live to long-extended'
years.
He who receives thee as a gift, O house, and he by whom thou hast been built, both these, O mistress of dwelling, shall live attaining old age!
avś_09.003.10.
अमु॒त्रैनम् आ॒ गछताद् दृढा॒ नद्धा॒ प॒रिष्कृता ।
य॒स्यास् ते विचृता॒मस्य् अ॒ङ्गमङ्गं प॒रुष्परुः ॥१०॥ {६}
amútrainam ā́ gachatād dr̥ḍhā́ naddhā́ páriṣkr̥tā |
yásyās te vicr̥tā́masy áṅgamaṅgaṃ páruṣparuḥ ||10|| {6}

Крепкой, связанной, украшенной, —
Ты, у кого разнимаем мы
Член за членом, сустав за суставом!
There let her come to meet this man. Firm, strongly fastened,.
and prepared
Art thou whose several limbs and joints we part and loosen one
by one.
Return to him in the other world, firmly bound, ornamented, (thou house), which we loosen limb by limb, and joint by joint!
avś_09.003.11.
य॒स् त्वा शाले निमिमा॒य संजभा॒र व॒नस्प॒तीन् ।
प्रजा॒यै चक्रे त्वा शाले परमेष्ठी॒ प्रजा॒पतिः ॥११॥
yás tvā śāle nimimā́ya saṃjabhā́ra vánaspátīn |
prajā́yai cakre tvā śāle parameṣṭhī́ prajā́patiḥ ||11||
Кто тебя выстроил, о хижина,
Собрал лесные деревья,
Для потомства он сделал тебя, о хижина,
Как высший Праджапати.
He who collected timber for the work and built thee up, O
House,
Made thee for coming progeny, Prajāpati, the Lord Supreme.
He who built thee, O house, brought together (thy) timbers, he, a Pragāpati on high, did construct thee, O house, for his progeny (pragāyai).
avś_09.003.12.
न॒मस् त॒स्मै न॒मो दात्रे॒ शा॒लापतये च कृण्मः ।
न॒मो ऽग्न॒ये प्रच॒रते पु॒रुषाय च ते न॒मः ॥१२॥
námas tásmai námo dātré śā́lāpataye ca kr̥ṇmaḥ |
námo 'gnáye pracárate púruṣāya ca te námaḥ ||12||
Поклон ему, поклон дарующему
И хозяину хижины мы делаем.
Поклон переселяющемуся огню,
Поклон и твоему пуруше.
Homage to him! We worship too the giver and the Mansion's
lord:
Homage to Agni! to the man who serves at holy rites for thee.
We render obeisance to him (the builder); obeisance to the giver, the lord of the house; obeisance to Agni who serves (the sacrifice); and obeisance to thy (attendant) man!
avś_09.003.13.
गो॒भ्यो अ॒श्वेभ्यो न॒मो य॒च् छा॒लायां विजा॒यते ।
वि॒जावति प्र॒जावति वि॒ ते पा॒शांश् चृतामसि ॥१३॥
góbhyo áśvebhyo námo yác chā́lāyāṃ vijā́yate |
víjāvati prájāvati ví te pā́śāṃś cr̥tāmasi ||13||
Коровам, лошадям поклон,
(Тому), что рождается в хижине.
О дающая рождение, о дающая потомство,
Мы развязываем твои петли.
Homage to kine and steeds! to all that shall be born within the
house
We loose the bonds that fasten thee, mother of multitudes to
come!
Reverence to the cattle and the horses, and to that which is born in the house! Thou that hast produced, art rich in offspring, thy fetters do we loosen.
avś_09.003.14.
अग्नि॒म् अन्त॒श् छादयसि पु॒रुषान् पशु॒भिः सह॒ ।
वि॒जावति प्र॒जावति वि॒ ते पा॒शांश् चृतामसि ॥१४॥
agním antáś chādayasi púruṣān paśúbhiḥ sahá |
víjāvati prájāvati ví te pā́śāṃś cr̥tāmasi ||14||
Ты прикрываешь огонь внутри,
Людей вместе со скотом.
О дающая рождение, о дающая потомство,
Мы развязываем твои петли.
Agni thou shelterest within, and people with domestic beasts.
We loose the bonds that fasten thee, mother of multitudes to
come!
Thou dost shelter Agni within, (and) the domestics together with the cattle. Thou that hast produced, art rich in offspring, thy fetters do we loosen.
avś_09.003.15.
अन्तरा॒ द्यां॒ च पृथिवीं॒ च य॒द् व्य॒चस् ते॒न शा॒लां प्र॒ति गृह्णामि त इमा॒म् ।
य॒द् अन्त॒रिक्षं र॒जसो विमा॒नं त॒त् कृण्वे ऽह॒म् उद॒रं शेवधि॒भ्यः ।
ते॒न शा॒लां प्र॒ति गृह्णामि त॒स्मै ॥१५॥
antarā́ dyā́ṃ ca pr̥thivī́ṃ ca yád vyácas téna śā́lāṃ práti gr̥hṇāmi ta imā́m |
yád antárikṣaṃ rájaso vimā́naṃ tát kr̥ṇve 'hám udáraṃ śevadhíbhyaḥ |
téna śā́lāṃ práti gr̥hṇāmi tásmai ||15||
(Та) ширь, что между небом и землей, —
Ею я забираю эту твою хижину.
(Тот) воздух, что (есть) мера пространства, —
Его я делаю чревом для сокровищ,
Им я забираю хижину для него.
All space that lies between the earth and heaven, therewith I
take this house for thy possession,
And all that measures out the air's mid-region I make a hollow
to contain thy treasures. Therewith I take the house for his
possession.
The expanse which is between heaven and earth, with that do I receive as a gift this house of thine; the middle region which is stretched out from the sky, that do I make into a receptacle for treasures; with that do I receive the house for this one.
avś_09.003.16.
ऊ॒र्जस्वती प॒यस्वती पृथिव्यां॒ नि॒मिता मिता॒ ।
विश्वान्नं॒ बि॒भ्रती शाले मा॒ हिंसीः प्रतिगृह्णतः॒ ॥१६॥
ū́rjasvatī páyasvatī pr̥thivyā́ṃ nímitā mitā́ |
viśvānnáṃ bíbhratī śāle mā́ hiṃsīḥ pratigr̥hṇatáḥ ||16||
Богатая питанием, богатая молоком,
Укрепленная на земле, построенная,
Несущая всю еду, о хижина,
Не повреди тем, кто забирает (тебя)!
Rich in prosperity, rich in milk, founded and built upon the
earth,
Injure not thy receivers, House who holdest food of every sort!'
Full of nurture, full of milk, fixed upon the earth, erected, holding food for all, O house, do thou not injure them that receive thee as a gift!
avś_09.003.17.
तृ॒णैर् आ॒वृता पलदा॒न् व॒साना रा॒त्रीव शा॒ला ज॒गतो निवे॒शनी ।
मिता॒ पृथिव्यां॒ तिष्ठसि हस्ति॒नीव पद्व॒ती ॥१७॥
tŕ̥ṇair ā́vr̥tā paladā́n vásānā rā́trīva śā́lā jágato nivéśanī |
mitā́ pr̥thivyā́ṃ tiṣṭhasi hastínīva padvátī ||17||
Закутанная в травы, одетая в соломенные покрытия,
Хижина, словно ночь, успокаивающая живые существа.
Построенная, ты стоишь на земле,
Как слониха — на ногах.
Grass-covered, clad with straw, the house, like Night, gives rest
to man and beast.
Thou standest, built upon the earth, like a she-elephant, borne
on feet.
Enveloped in grass, clothed in reeds, like night does the house lodge the cattle; erected thou dost stand upon the earth, like a she-elephant, firm of foot.
avś_09.003.18.
इ॒टस्य ते वि॒ चृताम्य् अ॒पिनद्धम् अपोर्णुव॒न् ।
व॒रुणेन स॒मुब्जितां मित्रः॒ प्रात॒र् व्य् उ॑ब्जतु ॥१८॥
íṭasya te ví cr̥tāmy ápinaddham aporṇuván |
váruṇena sámubjitāṃ mitráḥ prātár vy ùbjatu ||18||
У твоей циновки я отвязываю
(То), что было прикреплено, раскрывая, (что внутри).
(Тебя), закрытую Варуной,
Пусть Митра откроет рано утром!
I loosen and remove from thee thy covering formed by mats of
reed.
What Varuna hath firmly closed Mitra shall ope at early morn.
The part of thee that was covered with mats unfolding do I loosen. Thee that hast been enfolded by Varuna may Mitra uncover in the morning!
avś_09.003.19.
ब्र॒ह्मणा शा॒लां नि॒मितां कवि॒भिर् नि॒मितां मिता॒म् ।
इन्द्राग्नी॒ रक्षतां शा॒लाम् अमृ॒तौ सोम्यं॒ स॒दः ॥१९॥
bráhmaṇā śā́lāṃ nímitāṃ kavíbhir nímitāṃ mitā́m |
indrāgnī́ rakṣatāṃ śā́lām amŕ̥tau somyáṃ sádaḥ ||19||
Хижину, укрепленную с молитвой,
Укрепленную поэтами, построенную, —
Пусть защитят бессмертные Индра-Агни,
(Эту) хижину, сиденье Сомы!
May Indra, Agni, deathless Gods, protect the house where
Soma dwells,
House that was founded with the prayer, built and erected by
the wise.
The house built with pious word, built by seers, erected — may Indra and Agni, the two immortals, protect the house, the seat of Soma!
avś_09.003.20.
कुला॒ये॒ ऽधि कुला॒यं को॒शे को॒शः स॒मुब्जितः ।
त॒त्र म॒र्तो वि॒ जायते य॒स्माद् वि॒श्वं प्रजा॒यते ॥२०॥ {७}
kulā́yé 'dhi kulā́yaṃ kóśe kóśaḥ sámubjitaḥ |
tátra márto ví jāyate yásmād víśvaṃ prajā́yate ||20|| {7}
Гнездо на гнезде,
Сосуд, втиснутый в сосуд, —
Там рождается смертный,
От которого происходит всё.
Nest upon nest hath been imposed, compartment on compart-
ment laid:
There man shall propagate his kind, and there shall everything
born.
Chest is crowded upon chest, basket upon basket; there mortal man is begotten from whom all things spring.
avś_09.003.21.
या॒ द्वि॒पक्षा च॒तुष्पक्षा ष॒ट्पक्षा या॒ निमीय॒ते ।
अष्टा॒पक्षां द॒शपक्षां शा॒लां मा॒नस्य प॒त्नीम् अग्नि॒र् ग॒र्भ इवा॒ शये ॥२१॥
yā́ dvípakṣā cátuṣpakṣā ṣáṭpakṣā yā́ nimīyáte |
aṣṭā́pakṣāṃ dáśapakṣāṃ śā́lāṃ mā́nasya pátnīm agnír gárbha ivā́ śaye ||21||
(Хижина), которая укрепляется с двумя сторонами,
С четырьмя сторонами, которая с шестью сторонами,
В хижине с восемью сторонами,
С десятью сторонами, в хозяйке строения —
Огонь покоится, как зародыш.
Within the house constructed with two side-posts, or with four,
or six.
Built with eight side-posts, or with ten, lies Agni like a babe
unborn.
In the house which is built with two facades, four facades, six facades; in the house with eight facades, with ten facades, in the 'mistress of dwelling.' Agni rests as if in the womb.
avś_09.003.22.
प्रती॒चीं त्वा प्रतीची॒नः शा॒ले प्रै॒म्य् अ॒हिंसतीम् ।
अग्नि॒र् ह्य् अ॑न्त॒र् आ॒पश् च ऋत॒स्य प्रथमा॒ द्वाः॒ ॥२२॥
pratī́cīṃ tvā pratīcī́naḥ śā́le práimy áhiṃsatīm |
agnír hy àntár ā́paś ca r̥tásya prathamā́ dvā́ḥ ||22||
Повернувшись к тебе, повернутой (ко мне),
О хижина, я прохожу через (тебя) невредящую:
Ведь внутри огонь и вода,
Первые врата закона.
Turned to thee, House! I come to thee, innocent, turned to
welcome me:
For Fire and Water are within, the first chief door of sacrifice.
Tuirning towards thee that art turned towards me, O house, I come to thee that injurest me not. For Agni and the waters, the first door to divine order, are within.
avś_09.003.23.
इमा॒ आ॒पः प्र॒ भराम्य् अयक्ष्मा॒ यक्ष्मना॒शनीः ।
गृहा॒न् उ॒प प्र॒ सीदाम्य् अमृ॒तेन सहा॒ग्नि॒ना ॥२३॥
imā́ ā́paḥ prá bharāmy ayakṣmā́ yakṣmanā́śanīḥ |
gr̥hā́n úpa prá sīdāmy amŕ̥tena sahā́gnínā ||23||
Я проношу эту воду,
Лишенную якшмы, уничтожающую якшму.
Я вселяюсь в помещения
Вместе с бессмертным огнем.
Water that kills Consumption, free from all Consumption, here
I bring.
With Agni, the immortal one, I enter and possess the house.
These waters, free from disease, destructive of disease, do I bring here. The chambers do I enter in upon in company with the immortal Agni (fire).
avś_09.003.24.
मा॒ नः पा॒शं प्र॒ति मुचो गुरु॒र् भारो॒ लघु॒र् भव ।
वधू॒म् इव त्वा शाले यत्रका॒मं भरामसि ॥२४॥
mā́ naḥ pā́śaṃ práti muco gurúr bhāró laghúr bhava |
vadhū́m iva tvā śāle yatrakā́maṃ bharāmasi ||24||
Да не набросишь ты на нас петлю!
Тяжелый груз, пусть станешь ты легким!
О хижина, как невесту,
Мы несем тебя, куда захотим.
Lay thou no cord or noose on us: a weighty burthen, still be
light!
Withersoever be our will, O House, we bear thee like a bride.
Do thou not fasten a fetter upon us; though a heavy load, become thou light! As a bride do we carry thee, O house, wherever we please.
avś_09.003.25.
प्रा॒च्या दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥२५॥
prā́cyā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||25||
С восточной стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
Now from the east side of the house to the Great Power be
homage paid!
Hail to the Gods whose due is Hail!
From the easterly direction of the house reverence (be) to greatness, hail to the gods who are to be addressed with hail!
avś_09.003.26.
द॒क्षिणाया दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥२६॥
dákṣiṇāyā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||26||
С южной стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
Now from the south side of the house, etc.
From the southerly direction of the house, &c.!
avś_09.003.27.
प्रती॒च्या दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥२७॥
pratī́cyā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||27||
С западной стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
Now from the west side of the house, etc.
From the westerly direction of the house, &c.!
avś_09.003.28.
उ॒दीच्या दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥२८॥
údīcyā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||28||
С северной стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
Now from the north side of the house, etc.
From the northerly direction of the house, &c.!
avś_09.003.29.
ध्रुवा॒या दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥२९॥
dhruvā́yā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||29||
С прочной стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
So from the mansion's every side to the Great Power be homage
paid!
Hail to the Gods whose due is Hail!
From the firm direction (nadir) of the house, &c.!
avś_09.003.30.
ऊर्ध्वा॒या दिशः॒ शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥३०॥
ūrdhvā́yā diśáḥ śā́lāyā námo mahimné svā́hā devébhyaḥ svāhyèbhyaḥ ||30||
С обращенной кверху стороны поклон величию хижины! Свага богам, достойным свага!
From the upright direction (zenith) of the house, &c.!
avś_09.003.31.
दिशो॒दिशः शा॒लाया न॒मो महिम्ने॒ स्वा॒हा देवे॒भ्यः स्वाह्ये॑भ्यः ॥३१॥ {८}

From every direction of the house reverence (be) to greatness, hail to the gods who are to be addressed with hail!
