शीर्षक्तिं॒ शीर्षामयं॒ कर्णशूलं॒ विलोहित॒म् ।
स॒र्वं शीर्षन्यं॑ ते रो॒गं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥१॥
śīrṣaktíṃ śīrṣāmayáṃ karṇaśūláṃ vilohitám |
sárvaṃ śīrṣanyàṃ te rógaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||1||
Головную боль, болезнь головы,
Когда стреляет в ухе, вилохиту —
Любую твою головную болезнь
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
Each pain and ache that racks the head, earache, and erysipelas,.
All malady that wrings thy brow we charm away with this our
spell.
Headache and suffering in the head, pain in the ears and flow of blood, every disease of the head, do we charm forth from thee.

क॒र्णाभ्यां ते क॒ङ्कूषेभ्यः कर्णशूलं॒ विस॒ल्पकम् ।
स॒र्वं शीर्षन्यं॑ ते रो॒गं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥२॥
kárṇābhyāṃ te káṅkūṣebhyaḥ karṇaśūláṃ visálpakam |
sárvaṃ śīrṣanyàṃ te rógaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||2||
Из ушей твоих, из канкуши,
Колющую боль в ухе, висальяку —
Любую твою головную болезнь
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
From both thine ears, from parts thereof, thine earache, and the
throbbing pain,
All malady that wrings thy brow we charm away with this our
spell.
From thy ears, from thy kankūshas the earpain, and the neuralgia — every disease of the head do we charm forth from thee.

य॒स्य हेतोः॒ प्रच्य॒वते य॒क्ष्मः कर्णतो॒ आस्यतः॒ ।
स॒र्वं शीर्षन्यं॑ ते रो॒गं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥३॥
yásya hetóḥ pracyávate yákṣmaḥ karṇató āsyatáḥ |
sárvaṃ śīrṣanyàṃ te rógaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||3||
По какой причине выпадает
Якшма из уха, изо рта —
Любую твою головную болезнь
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
So that Consumption may depart forth from thine ears and from.
thy mouth,
All malady that wrings thy brow we charm away with this our
spell.
(With the charm) through whose agency disease hastens forth from the ears and the mouth-every disease of the head do we charm forth from thee.
avś_09.008.04.
यः॒ कृणो॒ति प्रमो॒तम् अन्धं॒ कृणो॒ति पू॒रुषम् ।
स॒र्वं शीर्षन्यं॑ ते रो॒गं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥४॥
yáḥ kr̥ṇóti pramótam andháṃ kr̥ṇóti pū́ruṣam |
sárvaṃ śīrṣanyàṃ te rógaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||4||
Что делает человека глухим (?),
Слепым делает —
Любую твою головную болезнь
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
The malady that makes one deaf, the malady that makes one
blind,
All malady that wrings thy brow we charm away with this our
spell.
(The disease) that renders a man deaf and blind — every disease of the head do we charm forth from thee.

अङ्गभेद॒म् अङ्गज्वर॒म् विश्वाङ्ग्यं॑ विस॒ल्पकम् ।
स॒र्वं शीर्षन्यं॑ ते रो॒गं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥५॥
aṅgabhedám aṅgajvarám viśvāṅgyàṃ visálpakam |
sárvaṃ śīrṣanyàṃ te rógaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||5||
Ломоту членов, лихорадку членов,
Висальяку, пронизывающую все члены, —
Любую головную болезнь
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
The throbbing pain in all thy limbs that rends thy frame with
fever-throes,
All malady that wrings thy brow we charm away with this our
spell.
Pain in the limbs, fever in the limbs, the neuralgia that affects every limb-every disease of the head do we charm forth from thee.

य॒स्य भीमः॒ प्रतीकाश॒ उद्वेप॒यति पू॒रुषम् ।
तक्मा॒नं विश्व॒शारदं बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥६॥
yásya bhīmáḥ pratīkāśá udvepáyati pū́ruṣam |
takmā́naṃ viśváśāradaṃ bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||6||
Чей жуткий облик
Приводит в трепет человека,
Такман, повторяющуюся каждую осень,
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
The malady whose awful look makes a man quiver with alarm,
Fever whom every Autumn brings we charm away with this our
spell.
(The disease) whose frightful aspect makes man tremble, the takman (fever) that comes every autumn, do we charm forth from thee.
avś_09.008.07.
य॒ ऊरू॒ अनुस॒र्पत्य् अ॒थो ए॒ति गवी॒निके ।
य॒क्ष्मं ते अन्त॒र् अ॒ङ्गेभ्यो बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥७॥
yá ūrū́ anusárpaty átho éti gavī́nike |
yákṣmaṃ te antár áṅgebhyo bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||7||
(Ту), что ползает по бедрам,
А затем идет в пахи, —
Твою якшму из внутренних членов
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
Disease that creeps about the thighs and, after, reaches both the
groins,
Consumption from thine inward parts we charm away with this
our spell.
The disease that creeps along the thighs, and then enters the canals, out of thy inner parts do we charm forth.
avś_09.008.08.
य॒दि का॒माद् अपकामा॒द् धृ॒दयाज् जा॒यते प॒रि ।
हृदो॒ बला॒सम् अ॒ङ्गेभ्यो बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥८॥
yádi kā́mād apakāmā́d dhŕ̥dayāj jā́yate pári |
hr̥dó balā́sam áṅgebhyo bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||8||
Если от страсти, от отвращения,
От сердца рождается баласа,
Из сердца, из членов твоих
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
If the disease originates from love, from hatred, from the heart,
Forth from the heart and from the limbs we charm the wasting
malady.
If from the heart, from love, or from disgust, it arises, from thy heart and from thy limbs the balāsa do we charm forth.

हरिमा॒णं ते अ॒ङ्गेभ्यो ऽप्वा॒म् अन्तरो॒द॒रात् ।
यक्ष्मोधा॒म् अन्त॒र् आत्म॒नो बहि॒र् नि॒र् मन्त्रयामहे ॥९॥
harimā́ṇaṃ te áṅgebhyo 'pvā́m antaródárāt |
yakṣmodhā́m antár ātmáno bahír nír mantrayāmahe ||9||
Желтизну из членов твоих,
Апва изнутри живота,
Насылателя якшмы из твоей души
Мы выгоняем заговором наружу.
The yellow Jaundice from thy limbs, and Colic from the parts
within,
And Phthisis from thine inward soul we charm away with this
our spell.
Jaundice from thy limbs, diarrhoea from within thy bowels, the core of disease from thy inner soul do we charm forth.

आ॒सो बला॒सो भ॒वतु मू॒त्रं भवत्व् आम॒यत् ।
य॒क्ष्माणां स॒र्वेषां विषं॒ नि॒र् अवोचम् अहं॒ त्व॒त् ॥१०॥ {२२}
ā́so balā́so bhávatu mū́traṃ bhavatv āmáyat |
yákṣmāṇāṃ sárveṣāṃ viṣáṃ nír avocam aháṃ tvát ||10|| {22}
Пусть пеплом станет баласа,
Мочой болезнетворной!
Яд всех якшм
Я выгнал словом из тебя.
Let wasting malady turn to dust, become the water of disease.
I have evoked the poison-taint of all Consumptions out of thee.
To ashes (āsa) the balāsa shall turn; what is diseased shall turn to urine! The poison of all diseases I have charmed forth from thee.
avś_09.008.11.
बहि॒र् बि॒लं नि॒र् द्रवतु का॒हाबाहं त॒वोद॒रात् ।
य॒क्ष्माणां स॒र्वेषां विषं॒ नि॒र् अवोचम् अहं॒ त्व॒त् ॥११॥
bahír bílaṃ nír dravatu kā́hābāhaṃ távodárāt |
yákṣmāṇāṃ sárveṣāṃ viṣáṃ nír avocam aháṃ tvát ||11||
Наружу пусть он выскочит в отверстие
(Со звуком) «Кахабахам!» из твоего живота.
Яд всех якшм
Я выгнал словом из тебя.
Forth from the hollow let it run, and rumbling sounds from
thine inside.
I have evoked the poison-taint of all Consumptions out of thee.
Outside the opening (of the bladder) it shall run off; the rumbling shall pass from thy belly! The poison of all diseases I have charmed forth from thee.
avś_09.008.12.
उद॒रात् ते क्लोम्नो॒ ना॒भ्या हृ॒दयाद् अ॒धि ।
य॒क्ष्माणां स॒र्वेषां विषं॒ नि॒र् अवोचम् अहं॒ त्व॒त् ॥१२॥
udárāt te klomnó nā́bhyā hŕ̥dayād ádhi |
yákṣmāṇāṃ sárveṣāṃ viṣáṃ nír avocam aháṃ tvát ||12||
Из живота твоего, из легких,
Из пупа, из сердца
Яд всех якшм
Я выгнал словом из тебя.
Forth from thy belly and thy lungs, forth from thy navel and
thy heart.
I have evoked the poison taint of all Consumptions out of thee.
From thy belly, lungs, navel, and heart-the poison of all diseases I have charmed forth from thee.
avś_09.008.13.
याः॒ सीमा॒नं विरुज॒न्ति मूर्धा॒नं प्र॒त्य् अर्षनीः॒ ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१३॥
yā́ḥ sīmā́naṃ virujánti mūrdhā́naṃ práty arṣanī́ḥ |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||13||
(Те), что разламывают череп,
Раскалывая лоб, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The penetrating stabs of pain which rend asunder crown and
head,
Let them depart and pass away, free from disease and harming
not.
(The pains) that split the crown (of the head), pierce the head, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.14.
या॒ हृ॒दयम् उपर्ष॒न्त्य् अनुतन्व॒न्ति की॒कसाः ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१४॥
yā́ hŕ̥dayam uparṣánty anutanvánti kī́kasāḥ |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||14||
(Те), что вливаются в сердце,
Тянутся вдоль позвоночника, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The pangs that stab the heart and reach the breast-bone and
connected parts,
Let them depart and pass away, free from disease and harming
not.
They that pierce the heart, creep along the ribs, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.15.
याः॒ पार्श्वे॒ उपर्ष॒न्त्य् अनुनि॒क्षन्ति पृष्टीः॒ ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१५॥
yā́ḥ pārśvé uparṣánty anuníkṣanti pr̥ṣṭī́ḥ |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||15||
(Те), что колят в бока,
Пробуравливают ребра, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The stabs that penetrate the sides and pierce their way along the
ribs,
Let them depart and pass away, free from disease and harming
not.
They that pierce the sides, bore along the ribs, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.16.
या॒स् तिर॒श्चीः उपर्ष॒न्त्य् अर्षणी॒र् वक्ष॒णासु ते ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१६॥
yā́s tiráścīḥ uparṣánty arṣaṇī́r vakṣáṇāsu te |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||16||
(Те), что прокалывают насквозь,
Растекаются по животу, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The penetrating pangs that pierce thy stomach as they shoot
across,
Let them depart and pass away, free from disease and harming
not.
They that pierce crosswise, burrow in thy abdomen, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.17.
या॒ गु॒दा अनुस॒र्पन्त्य् आन्त्रा॒णि मोह॒यन्ति च ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१७॥
yā́ gúdā anusárpanty āntrā́ṇi moháyanti ca |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||17||
(Те), что ползут по кишкам
И сбивают с толку внутренности, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The pains that through the bowels creep, disordering the inward
parts,
Let them depart and pass away, free from disease and harming
not.
They that creep along the rectum, twist the bowels, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.18.
या॒ मज्ज्ञो॒ निर्ध॒यन्ति प॒रूंषि विरुज॒न्ति च ।
अ॒हिंसन्तीर् अनामया॒ नि॒र् द्रवन्तु बहि॒र् बि॒लम् ॥१८॥
yā́ majjñó nirdháyanti párūṃṣi virujánti ca |
áhiṃsantīr anāmayā́ nír dravantu bahír bílam ||18||
(Те), что высасывают костный мозг
И ломают суставы, —
Безвредные, безболезненные
Пусть выскочат они наружу в отверстие!
The pains that suck the marrow out, and rend and tear the bones
apart,
May they speed forth and pass away, free from disease and
harming not.
They that suck the marrow, and split the joints, without doing injury, without causing disease, they shall run off outside the opening (of the bladder)!
avś_09.008.19.
ये॒ अ॒ङ्गानि मद॒यन्ति य॒क्ष्मासो रोपणा॒स् त॒व ।
य॒क्ष्माणां स॒र्वेषां विषं॒ नि॒र् अवोचम् अहं॒ त्व॒त् ॥१९॥
yé áṅgāni madáyanti yákṣmāso ropaṇā́s táva |
yákṣmāṇāṃ sárveṣāṃ viṣáṃ nír avocam aháṃ tvát ||19||
Якшмы, что заражают члены (тела),
Вызывая у тебя резь, —
Яд всех якшм
Я выгнал словом из тебя.
Consumptions with their Colic pains which make thy limbs
insensible
I have evoked the poison-taint of all Consumptions out of thee.
The diseases and the injuries that paralyse thy limbs, the poison of all diseases I have charmed forth from thee.

विसल्प॒स्य विद्रध॒स्य वातीकार॒स्य वालजेः॒ ।
य॒क्ष्माणां स॒र्वेषां विषं॒ नि॒र् अवोचम् अहं॒ त्व॒त् ॥२०॥
visalpásya vidradhásya vātīkārásya vālajéḥ |
yákṣmāṇāṃ sárveṣāṃ viṣáṃ nír avocam aháṃ tvát ||20||
Из висальяку, из нарыва,
Из открытой раны (?), из гнойничка —
Яд всех якшм
Я выгнал словом из тебя.
Of piercing pain, of abscesses, rheumatic ache, ophthalmia—
I have evoked the poison-taint of all Consumptions out of thee.
Of neuralgia, of abscesses, of inflation, or of inflammation of the eyes, the poison of all diseases I have driven forth from thee.
avś_09.008.21.
पा॒दाभ्यां ते जा॒नुभ्यां श्रो॒णिभ्यां प॒रि भं॒ससः ।
अ॒नूकाद् अर्षणी॒र् उष्णि॒हाभ्यः शीर्ष्णो॒ रो॒गम् अनीनशम् ॥२१॥
pā́dābhyāṃ te jā́nubhyāṃ śróṇibhyāṃ pári bháṃsasaḥ |
ánūkād arṣaṇī́r uṣṇíhābhyaḥ śīrṣṇó rógam anīnaśam ||21||
Из ног, из колен,
Из ягодиц, из промежности,
Острые боли спинного хребта, из головы —
Я заставил исчезнуть болезнь.
I have dispelled the piercing pains from feet, knees, hips, and
hinder parts,
And spine, and from the neck and nape the malady that racked
the head.
From thy feet, knees, thighs, and bottom; from thy spine, and thy neck the piercing pains, from thy head the ache I have removed.

सं॒ ते शीर्ष्णः॒ कपा॒लानि हृ॒दयस्य च यो॒ विधुः॒ ।
उद्य॒न्न् आदित्य रश्मि॒भिः शीर्ष्णो॒ रो॒गम् अनीनशो ऽङ्गभेद॒म् अशीशमः ॥२२॥ {२३}
sáṃ te śīrṣṇáḥ kapā́lāni hŕ̥dayasya ca yó vidhúḥ |
udyánn āditya raśmíbhiḥ śīrṣṇó rógam anīnaśo 'ṅgabhedám aśīśamaḥ ||22|| {23}
Со(мкнулись) у тебя кости черепа
И (то), что биение сердца, (стало ритмично) —
О восходящий Адитья, лучами
Ты заставил исчезнуть болезнь головы,
Ты утишил ломоту членов.
Sound are the skull-bones of thy head and thy heart's beat is
regular.
Thou, Sun, arising with thy beams hast chased away the head's
disease, hast stilled the pain that racked the limbs.
Firm are the bones of thy skull, and the beat of thy heart. At thy rising, O sun, thou didst remove the pains of the head, quiet the pangs in the limbs.
