अग्निं॒ ब्रूमो व॒नस्प॒तीन् ओ॒षधीर् उत॒ वीरु॒धः ।
इ॒न्द्रं बृ॒हस्प॒तिं सू॒र्यं ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१॥
agníṃ brūmo vánaspátīn óṣadhīr utá vīrúdhaḥ |
índraṃ bŕ̥haspátiṃ sū́ryaṃ té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||1||
Мы взываем к Агни, к лесным деревьям,
К травам и растениям,
К Индре, Брихаспати, Сурье —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We call on Agni, on the trees lords of the forest, herbs and.
plants,
Indra, Sūrya, Brihaspati: may they deliver us from woe.
To Agni we speak and to the trees, to the plants and to the herbs; to Indra, Brihaspati, and Sūya: they shall deliver us from calamity!

ब्रूमो॒ रा॒जानं व॒रुणं मित्रं॒ वि॒ष्णुम् अ॒थो भ॒गम् ।
अं॒शं वि॒वस्वन्तं ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥२॥
brūmó rā́jānaṃ váruṇaṃ mitráṃ víṣṇum átho bhágam |
áṃśaṃ vívasvantaṃ brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||2||
Мы взываем к царю Варуне,
К Митре, Вишну, а также к Бхаге,
К Анше, Вивасвату мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We call on Vishnu, Bhaga, on Mitra and Varuna the King,
Ansa Vivasvān we address: may they deliver us from woe.
We speak to king Varuna, to Mitra, Vishnu and Bhaga. To Amsa and Vivasvant do we speak: they shall deliver us from calamity!

ब्रूमो॒ देवं॒ सविता॒रं धाता॒रम् उत॒ पूष॒णम् ।
त्व॒ष्टारम् अग्रियं॒ ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥३॥
brūmó deváṃ savitā́raṃ dhātā́ram utá pūṣáṇam |
tváṣṭāram agriyáṃ brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||3||
Мы взываем к богу Савитару,
К Дхатару и к Пушану,
К Тваштару, стоящему во главе, мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We call on Savitar the God, on Pūshan the establisher,
Tvashtar the foremost we address: may they deliver us from
woe.
We speak to Savitar, the god, to Dhātar, and to Pūshan; to first-born Tvashtar do we speak: they shall deliver us from calamity!

गन्धर्वाप्सर॒सो ब्रूमो अश्वि॒ना ब्र॒ह्मणस्प॒तिम् ।
अर्यमा॒ ना॒म यो॒ देव॒स् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥४॥
gandharvāpsaráso brūmo aśvínā bráhmaṇaspátim |
aryamā́ nā́ma yó devás té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||4||
К гандхарвам-апсарас мы взываем,
К Ашвинам, Брахманаспати
И к тому богу, чье имя Арьяман, —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Gandharvas and Apsarases; the Asvins, Brāhmanaspati,
Aryaman, God, by name we call: may they deliver us from woe.
We speak to the Gandharvas and the Apsaras, to the Asvins and to Brahmanaspati, to the god whose name is Aryaman: they shall deliver us from calamity!

अहोरात्रे॒ इदं॒ ब्रूमः सूर्याचन्द्रम॒साव् उभा॒ ।
वि॒श्वान् आदित्या॒न् ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥५॥
ahorātré idáṃ brūmaḥ sūryācandramásāv ubhā́ |
víśvān ādityā́n brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||5||
Ко дню и ночи мы сейчас взываем,
К солнцу-и-луне, к ним обоим,
Ко всем Адитьям мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
This word of ours to Day and Night, and to the Sun and Moon
we speak,
All the Ādityas we address: may they deliver us from woe.
Now do we speak to day and night, to Sūrya (sun) and to Kandramas (moon), the twain; to all the Ādityas we speak: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.06.
वा॒तं ब्रूमः पर्ज॒न्यम् अन्त॒रिक्षम् अ॒थो दि॒शः ।
आ॒शाश् च स॒र्वा ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥६॥
vā́taṃ brūmaḥ parjányam antárikṣam átho díśaḥ |
ā́śāś ca sárvā brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||6||
К Вате мы взываем, к Парджанье,
К воздушному пространству, а также к сторонам света
И ко всем небесным просторам мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Vāta, Parjanya we address, the Quarters, and the Firmament,
And all the Regions of the sky: may they deliver us from woe.
We speak to Vāta (wind) and Parganya, to the atmosphere and the directions of space. And to all the regions do we speak: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.07.
मुञ्च॒न्तु मा शपथ्या॑द् अहोरात्रे॒ अ॒थो उषाः॒ ।
सो॒मो मा देवो॒ मुञ्चतु य॒म् आहु॒श् चन्द्र॒मा इ॒ति ॥७॥
muñcántu mā śapathyā̀d ahorātré átho uṣā́ḥ |
sómo mā devó muñcatu yám āhúś candrámā íti ||7||
Да освободят меня от того, что приносит проклятье,
День-и-ночь, а также Ушас!
Сома-бог да освободит меня,
(Он), которого называют луной.
From all that brings a curse may Day and Night and Dawn
deliver me,
May Soma free me, God to whom they give the name of Chan-
dramās.
Day and night, and Ushas (dawn), too, shall deliver thee from curses! Soma the god, whom they call Kandramas (moon), shall deliver me!
avś_11.006.08.
पा॒र्थिवा दिव्याः॒ पश॒व आरण्या॒ उत॒ ये॒ मृगाः॒ ।
शकु॒न्तान् पक्षि॒णो ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥८॥
pā́rthivā divyā́ḥ paśáva āraṇyā́ utá yé mr̥gā́ḥ |
śakúntān pakṣíṇo brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||8||
Земные, небесные животные,
А также (те), что лесные звери,
К ястребам, к птицам мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
All creatures both of heaven and earth, wild beasts and sylvan
animals,
And winged birds of air we call: may they deliver us from woe.
To the animals of the earth and those of heaven, to the wild beasts of the forest, to the winged birds, do we speak: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.09.
भवाशर्वा॒व् इदं॒ ब्रूमो रुद्रं॒ पशुप॒तिश् च यः॒ ।
इ॒षूर् या॒ एषां संविद्म॒ ता॒ नः सन्तु स॒दा शिवाः॒ ॥९॥
bhavāśarvā́v idáṃ brūmo rudráṃ paśupátiś ca yáḥ |
íṣūr yā́ eṣāṃ saṃvidmá tā́ naḥ santu sádā śivā́ḥ ||9||
К Бхаве-и-Шарве мы сейчас взываем
К Рудре и к тому, кто повелитель скота.
Те стрелы, которые у них, мы хорошо знаем.
Да будут они к нам всегда милостивы!
Bhava and Sarva we address, and Rudra who is Lord of Beasts,
Their arrows which we feel and know: may they be ever kind to
us.
Now do we speak to Bhava and Sarva, to Rudra and Pasupati; their arrows do we know well: these (arrows) shall be ever propitious to us!
avś_11.006.10.
दि॒वं ब्रूमो न॒क्षत्राणि भू॒मिं यक्षा॒णि प॒र्वतान् ।
समुद्रा॒ नद्यो॑ वेशन्ता॒स् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१०॥ {१७}
dívaṃ brūmo nákṣatrāṇi bhū́miṃ yakṣā́ṇi párvatān |
samudrā́ nadyò veśantā́s té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||10|| {17}
К небу мы взываем, к созвездиям,
К земле, к почитаемым (местам) (?), к горам,
К океану, рекам, прудам —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We speak to Constellations, Heaven, to Earth, to Genii, and to
Hills,
To Seas, to Rivers, and to Lakes: may they deliver us from woe.
We speak to the heavens, and the stars, to earth, the Yakshas, and the mountains; to the seas.. the rivers, and the lakes: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.11.
सप्तऋषी॒न् वा॒ इदं॒ ब्रूमो ऽपो॒ देवीः॒ प्रजा॒पतिम् ।
पितृ॒̄न् यम॒श्रेष्ठान् ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ।११॥
saptar̥ṣī́n vā́ idáṃ brūmo 'pó devī́ḥ prajā́patim |
pitr̥̄́n yamáśreṣṭhān brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ |11||
К Семерым Риши мы тоже сейчас взываем,
К водам божественным, к Праджапати,
К предкам с Ямой во главе мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Or the Seven Rishis we address, Waters divine, Prajāpati,
Fathers with Yama at their head: may they deliver us from woe.
To the seven Rishis now do we speak, to the divine waters and Pragāpati. To the Fathers with Yama at their head: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.12.
ये॒ देवा॒ दिविष॒दो अन्तरिक्षस॒दश् च ये॒ ।
पृथिव्यां॒ शक्रा॒ ये॒ श्रिता॒स् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१२॥
yé devā́ diviṣádo antarikṣasádaś ca yé |
pr̥thivyā́ṃ śakrā́ yé śritā́s té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||12||
(Те) боги, что сидят на небе,
И (те), что сидят в воздушном пространстве,
И (те), могучие, что пребывают на земле, —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Gods whose abode is in the heaven and those who dwell in
middle air,
And Mighty ones who rest on earth: may they deliver us from.
woe.
The gods that dwell in heaven, and those that dwell in the atmosphere; the mighty (gods) that are fixed upon the earth, they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.13.
आदित्या॒ रुद्रा॒ व॒सवो दिवि॒ देवा॒ अ॒थर्वाणः ।
अ॒ङ्गिरसो मनीषि॒णस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१३॥
ādityā́ rudrā́ vásavo diví devā́ átharvāṇaḥ |
áṅgiraso manīṣíṇas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||13||
Адитьи, Рудры, Васу,
Боги на небе, Атхарваны,
Ангирасы премудрые —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Ādityas, Rudra, Vasus, Gods aloft in heaven, Atharvan's sons,
The sages, sons of Angiras: may they deliver us from woe.
The Ādityas, Rudras, Vasus, the divine Atharvans in heaven, and the wise Angiras: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.14.
यज्ञं॒ ब्रूमो य॒जमानम् ऋ॒चः सा॒मानि भेषजा॒ ।
य॒जूंषि हो॒त्रा ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१४॥
yajñáṃ brūmo yájamānam ŕ̥caḥ sā́māni bheṣajā́ |
yájūṃṣi hótrā brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||14||
К жертве мы взываем, к устроителю жертвы,
К гимнам, напевам, целебным средствам,
К жертвенным формулам, к возгласам мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
To sacrifice, to worshipper, hymns, songs, and healing charms,
we speak,
To priestly acts and Yajus texts: may they deliver us from woe.
We speak to the sacrifice and the sacrificer, to the riks, the sāmans, and the healing (Atharvan) charms; we speak to the yagus-formulas and the invocations (to the gods): they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.15.
प॒ञ्च राज्या॒नि वीरु॒धां सो॒मश्रेष्ठानि ब्रूमः ।
दर्भो॒ भङ्गो॒ य॒वः स॒हस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१५॥
páñca rājyā́ni vīrúdhāṃ sómaśreṣṭhāni brūmaḥ |
darbhó bhaṅgó yávaḥ sáhas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||15||
К пяти царствам растений
С Сомой во главе мы взываем.
Дарбха, конопля, ячмень, сáха —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
To the five kingdoms of the plants which Soma rules as Lord we
speak.
Darbha, hemp, barley, mighty power: may these deliver us from
woe,
We speak to the five kingdoms of the plants with soma the most excellent among them. The darbha-grass, hemp, and mighty barley: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.16.
अरा॒यान् ब्रूमो र॒क्षांसि सर्पा॒न् पुण्यजना॒न् पितृ॒̄न् ।
मृत्यू॒न् ए॒कशतं ब्रूमस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१६॥
arā́yān brūmo rákṣāṃsi sarpā́n puṇyajanā́n pitr̥̄́n |
mr̥tyū́n ékaśataṃ brūmas té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||16||
К скаредам мы взываем, к ракшасам,
К змеям, к чистым людям, к предкам,
К сто одной смерти мы взываем —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
To demons and fierce fiends we speak, to Holy Genii, Fathers,.
Snakes,
And to the hundred deaths and one: may these deliver us from
woe.
We speak to the Arāyas (demons of grudge), Rakshas, serpents, pious men, and Fathers; to the one and a hundred deaths: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.17.
ऋतू॒न् ब्रूम ऋतुप॒तीन् आर्तवा॒न् उत॒ हायना॒न् ।
स॒माः संवत्सरा॒न् मा॒सांस् ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१७॥
r̥tū́n brūma r̥tupátīn ārtavā́n utá hāyanā́n |
sámāḥ saṃvatsarā́n mā́sāṃs té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||17||
К временам года мы взываем, к повелителям времен года,
К частям года и к годам,
К половинам года, к полным годам, к месяцам —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We speak to Seasons, Season-Lords, to years and sections of the
year,
To Months, half-months, and years complete: may they deliver
us from woe.
To the seasons we speak, to the lords of the seasons, and to the sections of the year; to the halfyears, years, and months: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.18.
ए॒त देवा दक्षिणतः॒ पश्चा॒त् प्रा॒ञ्च उदे॒त ।
पुर॒स्ताद् उत्तरा॒च् छक्रा॒ वि॒श्वे देवाः॒ समे॒त्य ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१८॥
éta devā dakṣiṇatáḥ paścā́t prā́ñca udéta |
purástād uttarā́c chakrā́ víśve devā́ḥ samétya té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||18||
Придите, о боги, с юга!
С запада подымитесь на восток!
С востока, с севера могучие
Все боги, собравшись, —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
Come hither from the south, ye Gods, rise and come forward
from the west.
Gathered together, all ye Gods, ye mighty Ones, from east and
and north: may they deliver us from woe.
Come, ye gods, from the south and the west; ye gods in the east come forth! From the east, from the north the mighty gods, all the gods assembled: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.19.
वि॒श्वान् देवा॒न् इदं॒ ब्रूमः सत्य॒सन्धान् ऋतावृ॒धः ।
वि॒श्वाभिः प॒त्नीभिः सह॒ ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥१९॥
víśvān devā́n idáṃ brūmaḥ satyásandhān r̥tāvŕ̥dhaḥ |
víśvābhiḥ pátnībhiḥ sahá té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||19||
Ко всем богам теперь мы взываем,
К соблюдающим договор, умножающим закон,
(К богам) вместе со всеми женами —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
This we address to all the Gods, faithful, maintainers of the
Right,
With all their Consorts by their side: may they deliver us from
woe.
We speak here to all the gods that hold to their agreements, promote the order (of the universe), together with all their wives: they shall deliver us from calamity![19,20]
avś_11.006.20.
स॒र्वान् देवा॒न् इदं॒ ब्रूमः सत्य॒सन्धान् ऋतावृ॒धः ।
स॒र्वाभिः प॒त्नीभिः सह॒ ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥२०॥
sárvān devā́n idáṃ brūmaḥ satyásandhān r̥tāvŕ̥dhaḥ |
sárvābhiḥ pátnībhiḥ sahá té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||20||
Ко всяким богам теперь мы взываем,
К соблюдающим договор, умножающим закон,
(К богам) вместе со всеми женами —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
We speak to the collected Gods, faithful, maintainers of the
Right.
Present with their collective Dames: may these deliver us from
woe.
We speak here to all the gods that hold to their agreements, promote the order (of the universe), together with all their wives: they shall deliver us from calamity![19,20]
avś_11.006.21.
भूतं॒ ब्रूमो भूतप॒तिं भूता॒नाम् उत॒ यो॒ वशी॒ ।
भूता॒नि स॒र्वा संग॒त्य ते॒ नो मुञ्चन्त्व् अं॒हसः ॥२१॥
bhūtáṃ brūmo bhūtapátiṃ bhūtā́nām utá yó vaśī́ |
bhūtā́ni sárvā saṃgátya té no muñcantv áṃhasaḥ ||21||
К существованию мы взываем, к господину существования,
И к (тому), кто повелитель существ.
Все существа, собравшись вместе, —
Да освободят они нас от беды!
The spirit, yea, the spirits' Lord, ruler of spirits, we address.
Together let all spirits meet: may these deliver us from woe.
We speak to being, to the lord of being, and also to him that controls the beings; to the beings all assembled: they shall deliver us from calamity!
avś_11.006.22.
या॒ देवीः॒ प॒ञ्च प्रदि॒शो ये॒ देवा॒ द्वा॒दश ऋत॒वः ।
संवत्सर॒स्य ये॒ दं॒ष्ट्रास् ते॒ नः सन्तु स॒दा शिवाः॒ ॥२२॥
yā́ devī́ḥ páñca pradíśo yé devā́ dvā́daśa r̥távaḥ |
saṃvatsarásya yé dáṃṣṭrās té naḥ santu sádā śivā́ḥ ||22||
Те божественные пять направлений,
Те божественные двенадцать времен года,
Те клыки, что у года, —
Да будут они к нам всегда милостивы!
The five Sky regions, Goddesses, and the twelve Seasons which
are Gods.
The teeth of the completed year, may these deliver us from woe.
The five divine regions, the twelve divine seasons, the teeth of the year, they shall ever be propitious, to us!
avś_11.006.23.
य॒न् मा॒तली रथक्रीत॒म् अमृ॒तं वे॒द भेषज॒म् ।
त॒द् इ॒न्द्रो अप्सु॒ प्रा॒वेशयत् त॒द् आपो दत्त भेषज॒म् ॥२३॥ {१८}
yán mā́talī rathakrītám amŕ̥taṃ véda bheṣajám |
tád índro apsú prā́veśayat tád āpo datta bheṣajám ||23|| {18}
(То) бессмертное целебное средство,
Купленное за колесницу, которое знает Матали,
Индра погрузил его в воды.
О воды, дайте то целебное средство!
The deathless balm that Mātalī knows, purchased at a chariot's
price,
Indra effused into the floods. Waters, give us that healing
balm!
The amrita (ambrosia), bought for the price of a chariot, which Mātalī knows as a remedy, that Indra stored away in the waters: that, O ye waters, furnish ye as a remedy!
