जाङ्गिडो॒ ऽसि जङ्गिडो॒ र॒क्षितासि जङ्गिदः॒ ।
द्विपा॒च् च॒तुष्पाद् अस्मा॒कं स॒र्वं रक्षतु जङ्गिदः॒ ॥१॥
jāṅgiḍó 'si jaṅgiḍó rákṣitāsi jaṅgidáḥ |
dvipā́c cátuṣpād asmā́kaṃ sárvaṃ rakṣatu jaṅgidáḥ ||1||
Ты джангида, джангида,
Ты защитница, джангида.
Нашего двуногого (и) четвероногого - Любого пусть защитит джангида!
Jangida, thou art Angiras: thou art a guardian, Jangida.
Let Jangida, keep safely all our bipeds and our quadrupeds.
Thou art an Angiras, O gangida, a protector art thou, O gangida. All two-footed and four-footed creatures that belong to us the gangida shall protect!
avś_19.034.02.
या॒ गृ॒त्स्यस् त्रिपञ्चाशीः॒ शतं॒ कृत्याकृ॒तश् च ये॒ ।
स॒र्वान् विनक्तु ते॒जसो ऽरसां॒ जङ्गिद॒स् करत् ॥२॥
yā́ gŕ̥tsyas tripañcāśī́ḥ śatáṃ kr̥tyākŕ̥taś ca yé |
sárvān vinaktu téjaso 'rasā́ṃ jaṅgidás karat ||2||
Виды колдовства (?), которых трижды пятьдесят,
Творцы колдовства, которых сотня, -
Пусть джангида сделает (их) всех Потерявшими блеск (?), лишенными сока!
Dice-witcheries, the fifty-threes, the hundred witchcraft-practi-
sers,
All these may Jangida make weak, bereft of their effectual
force.
The sorceries fifty-three in number, and the hundred performers of sorcery, all these having lost their force, the gangida shall render bereft of strength!
avś_19.034.03.
अरसं॒ कृत्रि॒मं नाद॒म् अरसाः सप्त॒ वि॒स्रसः ।
अ॒पेतो॒ जङ्गिडा॒मतिम् इ॒षुम् अ॒स्तेव शातय ॥३॥
arasáṃ kr̥trímaṃ nādám arasāḥ saptá vísrasaḥ |
ápetó jaṅgiḍā́matim íṣum ásteva śātaya ||3||
Лишен сока искусственный гул, Лишены сока семеро распадающихся. Прочь отсюда, о джангида, заставь улететь Нужду, как стрелок из лука - стрелу!
Baffle the loud factitious howl, make impotent the seven decays.
As when an archer speeds the shaft, drive away want, O
Jangida,
Bereft of strength is the gotten-up clamour, bereft of strength are the seven debilitating (charms). Do thou, O gangida, hurl away from here poverty, as an archer an arrow!
avś_19.034.04.
कृत्यादू॒षण एवा॒य॒म् अ॒थो अरातिदू॒षणः ।
अ॒थो स॒हस्वाञ् जङ्गिडः॒ प्र॒ न आ॒युम्षि तारिषत् ॥४॥
kr̥tyādū́ṣaṇa evā́yám átho arātidū́ṣaṇaḥ |
átho sáhasvāñ jaṅgiḍáḥ prá na ā́yumṣi tāriṣat ||4||
Это, действительно, порча колдовства, А также порча скупости.
Также могущественная джангида Пусть продлит нам сроки жизни!
This counteracts the sorceress, this banishes malignity: Then
may victorious Jangida's prolong the days we have to live.
This gangida is a destroyer of witchcraft, and also a destroyer of hostile powers. May then the powerful gangida extend far our lives!
avś_19.034.05.
स॒ जङ्गिड॒स्य महिमा॒ प॒रि णः पातु विश्व॒तः ।
वि॒ष्कन्धं ये॒न सास॒ह सं॒स्कन्धम् ओ॒ज ओ॒जसा ॥५॥
sá jaṅgiḍásya mahimā́ pári ṇaḥ pātu viśvátaḥ |
víṣkandhaṃ yéna sāsáha sáṃskandham ója ójasā ||5||
Пусть это величие джангиды
Защитит нас повсюду,
(То), благодаря которому оно одолело (болезнь) вишкандха, (Болезнь) самскандха, - силу силой.
Let Jangida's protecting might encompass us on every side.
Wherewith he quells Vishkandha and Sanskandha, might by
greater might.
May the greatness of the gangida protect us about on all sides, (the greatness) with which he has overcome the vishkandha (and) the samskandha, (overcoming the powerful (disease) with power!
avś_19.034.06.
त्रि॒ष् ट्वा देवा॒ अजनयन् नि॒ष्ठितं भू॒म्याम् अ॒धि ।
त॒म् उ त्वा॒ङ्गिरा इ॒ति ब्राह्मणाः॒ पूर्व्या॒ विदुः ॥६॥
tríṣ ṭvā devā́ ajanayan níṣṭhitaṃ bhū́myām ádhi |
tám u tvā́ṅgirā íti brāhmaṇā́ḥ pūrvyā́ viduḥ ||6||
Трижды тебя боги порождали,
Поселенную на земле.
Тебя такую прежние брахманы Знали как "Ангирас" (по имени).
Three times the Gods engendered thee fixt on the surface of the
earth;
The Brāhmans of the olden time knew that thy name was
Angiras;
Thrice the gods begot thee that hast grown up upon the earth. The Brahmanas of yore knew thee here by the name of Angiras.
avś_19.034.07.
न॒ त्वा पू॒र्वा ओ॒षधयो न॒ त्वा तरन्ति या॒ न॒वाः ।
वि॒बाध उग्रो॒ जङ्गिडः॒ परिपा॒णः सुमङ्ग॒लः ॥७॥
ná tvā pū́rvā óṣadhayo ná tvā taranti yā́ návāḥ |
víbādha ugró jaṅgiḍáḥ paripā́ṇaḥ sumaṅgálaḥ ||7||
Не превосходят тебя ни прежние травы, Не (превосходят) тебя и те, которые новые. Грозный вытеснитель - (ты) джангида, Хранитель со всех сторон, доброе предзнаменование.
The ancient plants surpass thee not, nor any herbs of recent
days.
A potent charm is Jangida, a most felicitous defence.
Neither the plants of olden times, nor they of recent times, surpass thee; a fierce slayer is the gahaida, and a happy refuge.
avś_19.034.08.
अ॒थोपदान भगवो जा॒ङ्गिडा॒मितवीर्य ।
पुरा॒ त उग्रा॒ ग्रसत उ॒पे॒न्द्रो वीर्यं॑ ददौ ॥८॥
áthopadāna bhagavo jā́ṅgiḍā́mitavīrya |
purā́ ta ugrā́ grasata úpéndro vīryàṃ dadau ||8||
О ценный дар джангида,
(Ты) с неизмеримыми подвигами.
Индра, о грозный, в прошлом, в начале (?),
Даровал героический подвиг.
Then when thou sprangest into life, Jangida of un-measured
strength,
Indra, O mighty One, bestowed great power upon thee from the
first.
And when, O gangida of boundless virtue, thou didst spring up in the days of yore, O fierce (plant), Indra at first placed strength in thee.
avś_19.034.09.
उग्र॒ इ॒त् ते वनस्पत इ॒न्द्र ओज्मा॒नम् आ॒ दधौ ।
अ॒मीवाः स॒र्वाश् चात॒यं जहि॒ र॒क्षांस्य् ओषधे ॥९॥
ugrá ít te vanaspata índra ojmā́nam ā́ dadhau |
ámīvāḥ sárvāś cātáyaṃ jahí rákṣāṃsy oṣadhe ||9||
Даже грозный Индра, о лесное дерево,
Подарил тебе силу.
Заставляя исчезнуть все болезни, Убей ракшасов, о трава!
To thee in truth, O Forest Tree, Indra the mighty One gave
strength.
Driving away all maladies, strike thou the demons down, O
Plant.
Fierce Indra, verily, put might into thee, O lord of the forest! Dispersing all diseases, slay thou the Rakshas, O plant!
avś_19.034.10.
आ॒शरीकं वि॒शरीकं बला॒सं पृष्ट्यामय॒म् ।
तक्मा॒नं विश्व॒शारदम् अरसां॒ जङ्गिड॒स् करत् ॥१०॥
ā́śarīkaṃ víśarīkaṃ balā́saṃ pr̥ṣṭyāmayám |
takmā́naṃ viśváśāradam arasā́ṃ jaṅgiḍás karat ||10||
Ломоту, перелом, Баласу, боль в ребрах,
Такман, поражающий каждую осень, Джангида сделала лишенными сока.
Lumbago and rheumatic pain, consumptive cough, and pleurisy,
And fever which each Autumn brings, may Jangida make-
powerless.
The breaking disease and the tearing disease, the balāsa, and the pain in the limbs, the takman that comes every autumn, may the gangida render devoid of force!
