ह॒रिः सुपर्णो॒ दि॒वम् आ॒रुहो ऽर्चि॒षा ये॒ त्वा दि॒प्सन्ति दि॒वम् उत्प॒तन्तम् ।
अ॒व तां॒ जहि ह॒रसा जातवेदो॒ ऽबिभ्यद् उग्रो॒ ऽर्चि॒षा दि॒वम् आ॒ रोह सूर्य ॥१॥

háriḥ suparṇó dívam ā́ruho 'rcíṣā yé tvā dípsanti dívam utpátantam |
áva tā́ṃ jahi hárasā jātavedó 'bibhyad ugró 'rcíṣā dívam ā́ roha sūrya ||1||

A Golden Eagle thou hast soared with light to heaven. Those
who would harm thee as thou fliest skyward.
Beat down, O Jātavedas, with thy fury. The strong hath feared:
to heaven mount up with light, O Sūrya.
