य॒स्मात् को॒शाद् उद॒भराम वे॒दं त॒स्मिन्न् अन्त॒र् अ॒व दध्म एनम् ।
कृत॒म् इष्टं॒ ब्र॒ह्मणो वीर्ये॑ण ते॒न मा देवास् त॒पसावतेह॒ ॥१॥

yásmāt kóśād udábharāma védaṃ tásminn antár áva dadhma enam |
kr̥tám iṣṭáṃ bráhmaṇo vīryèṇa téna mā devās tápasāvatehá ||1||

Within the chest whence we before extracted the bunch of grass,
this do we now deposit.
Wrought is the sacrifice by power of Brahma. Through this
assist me here, ye God, with Fervour.
