आ॒द॒लाबुकमे॒ककम् ॥१॥

ā́dálābukamékakam ||1||

Then too the single bottle-gourd,

अ॒लाबुकम् नि॒खातकम् ॥२॥

álābukam níkhātakam ||2||

the bottle-gourd dug
from the earth,

avś_20.132.03.

कर्करिको॒ नि॒खातकः ॥३॥

karkarikó níkhātakaḥ ||3||

The lute dug up from out the ground:

avś_20.132.04.

त॒द् वा॒त उ॒न्मथायति ॥४॥

tád vā́ta únmathāyati ||4||

this the wind stirs
and agitates.

avś_20.132.05.

कु॒लायं कृणवादि॒ति ॥५॥

kúlāyaṃ kr̥ṇavādíti ||5||

Let him prepare a nest, they say:

avś_20.132.06.

उग्रं॒ वनिष॒दाततम् ॥६॥

ugráṃ vaniṣádātatam ||6||

he shall obtain it strong
and stretched.

avś_20.132.07.

न॒ वनिषद॒नाततम् ॥७॥

ná vaniṣadánātatam ||7||

He shall not gain it unspread out.

avś_20.132.08.

क॒ एषां क॒र्करी लिखत् ॥८॥

ká eṣāṃ kárkarī likhat ||8||

Who among these will touch the lute?

avś_20.132.09.

क॒ एषां दुन्दु॒भिं हनत् ॥९॥

ká eṣāṃ dundúbhiṃ hanat ||9||

Who among these will beat the drum?

avś_20.132.10.

य॒दीयं॒ हनत् क॒थं हनत् ॥१०॥

yádīyáṃ hanat káthaṃ hanat ||10||

How, if he beat it, will he beat?

avś_20.132.11.

देवी॒ हनत् कु॒हनत् ॥११॥

devī́ hanat kúhanat ||11||

Where beating will the Goddess beat

avś_20.132.12.

प॒र्यागारं पु॒नःपुनः ॥१२॥

páryāgāraṃ púnaḥpunaḥ ||12||

again again about the house?

avś_20.132.13.

त्री॒ण्युष्ट्र॒स्य ना॒मानि ॥१३॥

trī́ṇyuṣṭrásya nā́māni ||13||

Three are the names the camel bears,

avś_20.132.14.

हिरण्य॒ इ॒त्ये॒के अब्रवीत् ॥१४॥

hiraṇyá ítyéke abravīt ||14||

Golden is one of them, he said.

avś_20.132.15.

द्वौ॒ वा ये॒ शिशवः ॥१५॥

dváu vā yé śiśavaḥ ||15||

Glory and power, these are two.

avś_20.132.16.

नी॒लशिखण्डवा॒हनः ॥१६॥

nī́laśikhaṇḍavā́hanaḥ ||16||

He with black tufts of hair shall strike.
