स्ती॒र्णं ब॒र्हिरुप॑ नो याहि वी॒तये॑ स॒हस्रे॑ण नि॒युता॑ नियुत्वते श॒तिनी॑भिर्नियुत्वते। तुभ्यं॒ हि पू॒र्वपी॑तये दे॒वा दे॒वाय॑ येमि॒रे। प्र ते॑ सु॒तासो॒ मधु॑मन्तो अस्थिर॒न्मदा॑य॒ क्रत्वे॑ अस्थिरन्॥

stīrṇam barhir upa no yāhi vītaye sahasreṇa niyutā niyutvate śatinībhir niyutvate |
tubhyaṃ hi pūrvapītaye devā devāya yemire |
pra te sutāso madhumanto asthiran madāya kratve asthiran ||

Расстелена жертвенная солома. Приезжай к нам, чтобы вкушать,
С тысячью упряжек, о повелитель упряжек,
С сотенными (упряжками), о повелитель упряжек!
Ведь это тебе на первое питье (сомы)
Уступили (право) боги – богу.

Das Barhis ist ausgelegt, komm zu uns zum Genuß mit dem Tausendgespann, du Niyut-Fahrer, mit den hundertfachen Gespannen, du Niyut-Fahrer, den die Götter haben dir, dem Gotte, das Recht auf den Ersttrunk zugestanden! Für dich sind die süßen Preßtränke aufgestellt, zum Rausche, nach deinen Sinnen aufgestellt.

STREWN is the sacred grass; come Vayu, to our feast, with team of thousands, come, Lord of the harnessed team, with hundreds, Lord of harnessed steeds! The drops divine are lifted up for thee, the God, to drink them first. The juices rich in sweets have raised thern for thy joy, have raised themselves to give thee strength.

तुभ्या॒यं सोमः॒ परि॑पूतो॒ अद्रि॑भिः स्पा॒र्हा वसा॑नः॒ परि॒ कोश॑मर्षति शु॒क्रा वसा॑नो अर्षति। तवा॒यं भा॒ग आ॒युषु॒ सोमो॑ दे॒वेषु॑ हूयते। वह॑ वायो नि॒युतो॑ याह्यस्म॒युर्जु॑षा॒णो या॑ह्यस्म॒युः॥

tubhyāyaṃ somaḥ paripūto adribhi spārhā vasānaḥ pari kośam arṣati śukrā vasāno arṣati |
tavāyam bhāga āyuṣu somo deveṣu hūyate |
vaha vāyo niyuto yāhy asmayur juṣāṇo yāhy asmayuḥ ||

Для тебя этот сома очищен повсюду давильными камнями.
Рядясь в завидные (одежды), он течет кругом по чану,
Рядясь в прозрачные (одежды), он течет.
Твоя доля, этот сома среди Аю
Разливается (и) среди богов.
Выезжай, о Ваю, на (своих) упряжках, приезжай (сюда), любя нас,
Радостный приезжай, любя нас!

Für dich ist dieser Soma mit seinen Steinen geläutert; in köstliche Farben sich kleidend umfließt er die Kufe, in helle Farben sich kleidend fließt er. Als dein Anteil wird dieser bei den Ayu´s, der Soma bei den Göttern geopfert. Fahr, o Vayu, die Niyut-Rosse, komm uns geneigt, komm gern, uns geneigt!

Purified by the stones the Soma flows for thee, clothed with its lovely splendours, to the reservoir, flows clad in its refulgent light. For thee the Soma is poured forth, thy portioned share mid. Gods and men. Drive thou thy horses, Vayu, come to us with love, come well-inclined and loving us.

आ नो॑ नि॒युद्भिः॑ श॒तिनी॑भिरध्व॒रं स॑ह॒स्रिणी॑भि॒रुप॑ याहि वी॒तये॒ वायो॑ ह॒व्यानि॑ वी॒तये॑। तवा॒यं भा॒ग ऋ॒त्वियः॒ सर॑श्मिः॒ सूर्ये॒ सचा॑। अ॒ध्व॒र्युभि॒र्भर॑माणा अयंसत॒ वायो॑ शु॒क्रा अ॑यंसत॥

ā no niyudbhiḥ śatinībhir adhvaraṃ sahasriṇībhir upa yāhi vītaye vāyo havyāni vītaye |
tavāyam bhāga ṛtviyaḥ saraśmiḥ sūrye sacā |
adhvaryubhir bharamāṇā ayaṃsata vāyo śukrā ayaṃsata ||

К нам на обряд с сотенными упряжками,
С тысячными приезжай, чтобы вкушать,
О Ваю, жертвенные возлияния, чтобы вкушать!
Твоя доля – этот (сома), вовремя приготовленный
Обладающий лучами вместе с солнцем.
Приносимые адхварью (соки сомы) поданы,
О Ваю, прозрачные поданы.

Komm mit den hundertfachen Niyut-Gespannen zu unserem Opfer, mit den tausendfachen um zu genießen, o Vayu, um die Opfergaben zu genießen!Dies ist dein zeitgemäßer Anteil, der bei aufgehender Sonne bestrahlte. Von den Adhvaryu´s aufgetragen sind sie dargereicht, sind die klaren Somatränke dargereicht, o Vayu.

Come thou with hundreds, come with thousands in thy team to this our solemn rite, to taste the sacred food, Vayu, to taste the offerings. This is thy seasonable share, that comes co-radiant with the Sun. Brought by attendant priests pure juice is offered up, Vayu, pure juice is offered up.

आ वां॒ रथो॑ नि॒युत्वा॑न्वक्ष॒दव॑से॒ऽभि प्रयां॑सि॒ सुधि॑तानि वी॒तये॒ वायो॑ ह॒व्यानि॑ वी॒तये॑। पिब॑तं॒ मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सः पूर्व॒पेयं॒ हि वां॑ हि॒तम्। वाय॒वा च॒न्द्रेण॒ राध॒सा ग॑त॒मिन्द्र॑श्च॒ राध॒सा ग॑तम्॥

ā vāṃ ratho niyutvān vakṣad avase 'bhi prayāṃsi sudhitāni vītaye vāyo havyāni vītaye |
pibatam madhvo andhasaḥ pūrvapeyaṃ hi vāṃ hitam |
vāyav ā candreṇa rādhasā gatam indraś ca rādhasā gatam ||

Да привезет вас двоих колесница с упряжками (нам) на помощь,
Хорошо расставленные жертвенные услады чтобы вкушать,
О Ваю, жертвенные возлияния чтобы вкушать!
Испейте сладкого соку!
Ведь вам положено (право) на первое питье.
О Ваю и Индра, придите со сверкающим подарком,
С подарком придите!

Euch beide soll der mit den Niyut bespannten Wagen herfahren zur Gunst, um die wohlbereiteten Labetränke zu genießen, o Vayu, um die Opfergaben zu genießen. Trinkt beide vom süßen Trank, denn euch ist der Ersttrunk bestimmt! Vayu und Indra, kommt mit blinkender Ehrengabe her, kommt mit der Ehrengabe!

The chariot with its team of horses bring you both, to guard us and to taste the well-appointed food, Vayu, to taste the offerings! Drink of the pleasant -flavoured juice the first draught is assigned to you. O Vayu, with your splendid bounty come ye both, Indra, with bounty come ye both.

आ वां॒ धियो॑ ववृत्युरध्व॒राँ उपे॒ममिन्दुं॑ मर्मृजन्त वा॒जिन॑मा॒शुमत्यं॒ न वा॒जिन॑म्। तेषां॑ पिबतमस्म॒यू आ नो॑ गन्तमि॒होत्या। इन्द्र॑वायू सु॒ताना॒मद्रि॑भिर्यु॒वं मदा॑य वाजदा यु॒वम्॥

ā vāṃ dhiyo vavṛtyur adhvarāṃ upemam indum marmṛjanta vājinam āśum atyaṃ na vājinam |
teṣām pibatam asmayū ā no gantam ihotyā |
indravāyū sutānām adribhir yuvam madāya vājadā yuvam ||

Да обратят вас поэтические мысли к обрядам!

Euch sollen die Gebete herbringen zu den Opfern. Sie putzen diesen Saft, der den Preis gewinnt, wie ein schnelles Roß, das den Preis gewinnt. Trinkt davon, uns geneigt - kommt hierher zu uns mit Gunst - Indra und Vayu, trinkt von dem mit Steinen ausgepreßten Soma, ihr Geber des Siegerpreises, zum Rausch!

May our songs bring you hither to our solemn rites: these drops of mighty vigour have they beauti fied, like a swift veed of mighty strength. Drink of them well-inclined to us, come hitherward to be our help. Drink, Indra-Vayu, of these Juices pressed with stones, Strength-givers! till they gladden you.

इ॒मे वां॒ सोमा॑ अ॒प्स्वा सु॒ता इ॒हाध्व॒र्युभि॒र्भर॑माणा अयंसत॒ वायो॑ शु॒क्रा अ॑यंसत। ए॒ते वा॑म॒भ्य॑सृक्षत ति॒रः प॒वित्र॑मा॒शवः॑। यु॒वा॒यवोऽति॒ रोमा॑ण्य॒व्यया॒ सोमा॑सो॒ अत्य॒व्यया॑॥

ime vāṃ somā apsv ā sutā ihādhvaryubhir bharamāṇā ayaṃsata vāyo śukrā ayaṃsata |
ete vām abhy asṛkṣata tiraḥ pavitram āśavaḥ |
yuvāyavo 'ti romāṇy avyayā somāso aty avyayā ||

Эти соки сомы выжаты здесь для вас в водах.
Приносимые адхварью (соки сомы) поданы,
О Ваю, прозрачные поданы.
Они вылиты для вас,
Быстрые, через цедилку,
Любя вас, – через овечьи шерстинки,
Соки сомы-через овечьи.

Für euch beide sind diese Somatränke hier ins Wasser ausgepreßt. Von den Adhvaryu´s aufgetragen sind sie dargereicht, sind die klaren dir, Vayu, dargereicht. Diese sind für euch beide durch die Seihe gesprengt wie rasche Rosse, nach euch verlangend durch die Schafhaare, die Somatränke durch die Schafhaare.

These Soma juices pressed for you in waters here, borne by attendant priests, are oficredup to you: bright, Vayu, are they offered up. Swift through the strainer have they flowed, and here are shed for both ofyou, Soma-drops, fain for you, over the wether's fleece, Somas over the wether's fleece.

अति॑ वायो सस॒तो या॑हि॒ शश्व॑तो॒ यत्र॒ ग्रावा॒ वद॑ति॒ तत्र॑ गच्छतं गृ॒हमिन्द्र॑श्च गच्छतम्। वि सू॒नृता॒ ददृ॑शे॒ रीय॑ते घृ॒तमा पू॒र्णया॑ नि॒युता॑ याथो अध्व॒रमिन्द्र॑श्च याथो अध्व॒रम्॥

ati vāyo sasato yāhi śaśvato yatra grāvā vadati tatra gacchataṃ gṛham indraś ca gacchatam |
vi sūnṛtā dadṛśe rīyate ghṛtam ā pūrṇayā niyutā yātho adhvaram indraś ca yātho adhvaram ||

О Ваю, несись надо всеми спящими!
Где говорит давильный камень, туда отправляйтесь,
О Индра, в дом отправляйтесь!
Щедрость явила себя взорам, струится жир.
С полной упряжкой вы едете на обряд,
О Индра, вы едете на обряд.

An allen Schläfern geh vorüber, Vayu! Wo der Stein ertönt, dorthin kommt, du und Indra, kommt ins Haus! Die Großmut ließ sich sehen, das Schmalz fließt. Ihr fahret mit vollzähligem Gespann zum Opfer; du und Indra, ihr fahret zum Opfer.

O Vayu, pass thou over all the,slumberers, and where the press-stone rings enter ye both that house, yea, Indra, go ye both within. The joyous Maiden is beheld, the butter flows. With richly laden team come to our solemn rite, yea, Indra, come ye to the rite.

अत्राह॒ तद्व॑हेथे॒ मध्व॒ आहु॑तिं॒ यम॑श्व॒त्थमु॑प॒तिष्ठ॑न्त जा॒यवो॒ऽस्मे ते स॑न्तु जा॒यवः॑। सा॒कं गावः॒ सुव॑ते॒ पच्य॑ते॒ यवो॒ न ते॑ वाय॒ उप॑ दस्यन्ति धे॒नवो॒ नाप॑ दस्यन्ति धे॒नवः॑॥

atrāha tad vahethe madhva āhutiṃ yam aśvattham upatiṣṭhanta jāyavo 'sme te santu jāyavaḥ |
sākaṃ gāvaḥ suvate pacyate yavo na te vāya upa dasyanti dhenavo nāpa dasyanti dhenavaḥ ||

Теперь же сюда вы едете к возлиянию сладкого (сока).
Перед каким деревом ашваттха находятся победные (соки сомы), –
Да будут эти (соки) для нас победными!
Все вместе телятся коровы, созревает зерно.
Не истощаются, о Ваю, твои дойные коровы,
Не истощаются дойные коровы!

Zu diesem fahret ihr nun, zu der Opferung des Süßtranks. Die unter den Asvattha-Baum als Sieger traten, die Sieger sollen bei uns sein. Mit einem Male gebären die Kühe, reift das Korn. Nicht versiegen deine Milchkühe, o Vayu, nicht versiegen deine Milchkühe.

Ride hither to the offering of the pleasant juice, the holy Fig-tree which victorious priests surround: victorious be they still for us. At once the cows yield milk, the barleymeal is dressed. For thee, O Vayu, never shall the cows grow thin, never for thee shall they be dry.

इ॒मे ये ते॒ सु वा॑यो बा॒ह्वो॑जसो॒ऽन्तर्न॒दी ते॑ प॒तय॑न्त्यु॒क्षणो॒ महि॒ व्राध॑न्त उ॒क्षणः॑। धन्व॑ञ्चि॒द्ये अ॑ना॒शवो॑ जी॒राश्चि॒दगि॑रौकसः। सूर्य॑स्येव र॒श्मयो॑ दुर्नि॒यन्त॑वो॒ हस्त॑योर्दुर्नि॒यन्त॑वः॥

ime ye te su vāyo bāhvojaso 'ntar nadī te patayanty ukṣaṇo mahi vrādhanta ukṣaṇaḥ |
dhanvañ cid ye anāśavo jīrāś cid agiraukasaḥ |
sūryasyeva raśmayo durniyantavo hastayor durniyantavaḥ ||

Те твои, что с очень сильными передними ногами,
Они в реке летают, быки,
Мощно растущие быки,
Что даже на равнине не скоры,
Хотя быстры (в горах, притом что) в горах не дома,
Словно лучи солнца трудно управляемые,
Руками трудно управляемые.

Diese sind fein deine beinstarken Stiere, o Vayu, die im Flusse fliegen, die mächtig sich reckenden Stiere, die auch im Steppenlande nicht schnell, und doch im Gebirge gar flink sind, obwohl im Gebirge nicht zu Hause, die schwer zu regieren sind wie die Zügel der Sonne, in den Händen schwer zu regieren.

These Bulls of thine, O Vayu with the arm of strength, who swiftly fly within the current of thy stream, the Bulls increasing in their might, Horseless, yet even through the waste swift-moving, whom no shout can stay, Hard to be checked are they, like sunbeams, in their course. hard to be checked by both the hands.
