मि॒त्रो जना॑न्यातयति ब्रुवा॒णो मि॒त्रो दा॑धार पृथि॒वीमु॒त द्याम्। मि॒त्रः कृ॒ष्टीरनि॑मिषा॒भि च॑ष्टे मि॒त्राय॑ ह॒व्यं घृ॒तव॑ज्जुहोत॥

mitro janān yātayati bruvāṇo mitro dādhāra pṛthivīm uta dyām |
mitraḥ kṛṣṭīr animiṣābhi caṣṭe mitrāya havyaṃ ghṛtavaj juhota ||

Митра (другом) называемый, приводит в порядок людей.
Митра удерживает небо и землю.
Митра, не смыкая очей, озирает народы.
Митре возлейте жертву, богатую жиром.

Der sich Mitra nennt, eint die Menschen. Mitra erhält Erde und Himmel. Mitra gibt auf die Völker Acht, ohne die Augen zu schließen; dem Mitra opfert die schmalzreiche Spende!

MITRA, when speaking, stirreth men to labour: Mitra sustaineth both the earth and heaven. Mitra beholdeth men with eyes that close not. To Mitra bring, with holy oil, oblation.

rv03.059.02

प्र स मि॑त्र॒ मर्तो॑ अस्तु॒ प्रय॑स्वा॒न्यस्त॑ आदित्य॒ शिक्ष॑ति व्र॒तेन॑। न ह॑न्यते॒ न जी॑यते॒ त्वोतो॒ नैन॒मंहो॑ अश्नो॒त्यन्ति॑तो॒ न दू॒रात्॥

pra sa mitra marto astu prayasvān yas ta āditya śikṣati vratena |
na hanyate na jīyate tvoto nainam aṃho aśnoty antito na dūrāt ||

Да превзойдет (всех), о Митра, смертный, услаждающий (тебя) жертвой,
Кто старается для тебя, о Адитья, в соответствии с обетом!
Неистребим (и) непобедим поддерживаемый тобою,
Не настигнет его беда ни вблизи, ни издалека.

Mitra! Der Sterbliche, der für dich eine Labung hat, soll den Vorrang haben, der dir, o Aditisohn, mit einem Gelübde dient. Von dir beschützt, wird er nicht erschlagen noch ausgeraubt; nicht trifft ihn Ungemach von nah oder fern.

Foremost be he who brings thee food, O Mitra, who strives to keep thy sacred Law, Aditya. He whom thou helpest ne'er is slain or conquered, on him, from near or far, falls no affliction.

rv03.059.03

अ॒न॒मी॒वास॒ इळ॑या॒ मद॑न्तो मि॒तज्ञ॑वो॒ वरि॑म॒न्ना पृ॑थि॒व्याः। आ॒दि॒त्यस्य॑ व्र॒तमु॑पक्षि॒यन्तो॑ व॒यं मि॒त्रस्य॑ सुम॒तौ स्या॑म॥

anamīvāsa iḷayā madanto mitajñavo varimann ā pṛthivyāḥ |
ādityasya vratam upakṣiyanto vayam mitrasya sumatau syāma ||

Без болезней, радующиеся жертвенному подкреплению,
Твердо стоя на коленях по (всему) земному простору,
Живя в завете Адитьи,
Да будем мы в милости у Митры!

Frei von Krankheit, an der Opferspeise uns gütlich tuend, mit aufgestemmten Knieen, soweit die Erde reicht, dem Gelübde des Aditisohn nachzukommen suchend, möchten wir in der Gunst des Mitra stehen.

joying in sacred food and free from sickness, with knees bent lowly on the earth's broad surface, Following closely the Aditya's statute, may we remain in Mitra's gracious favour.

rv03.059.04

अ॒यं मि॒त्रो न॑म॒स्यः॑ सु॒शेवो॒ राजा॑ सुक्ष॒त्रो अ॑जनिष्ट वे॒धाः। तस्य॑ व॒यं सु॑म॒तौ य॒ज्ञिय॒स्यापि॑ भ॒द्रे सौ॑मन॒से स्या॑म॥

ayam mitro namasyaḥ suśevo rājā sukṣatro ajaniṣṭa vedhāḥ |
tasya vayaṃ sumatau yajñiyasyāpi bhadre saumanase syāma ||

Этот Митра, достойный поклонения, очень благосклонный,
Родился царем с доброй властью, устроителем (обряда).
Да будем мы в милости у него, достойного жертв,
И в добром его расположении!

Dieser verehrungswürdige, freundliche Mitra ist als gutregierender König geboren, als Meister. An dieses Opferwürdigen Gunst, an seinem glückbringenden Wohlwollen möchten wir teilnehmen.

Auspicious and adorable, this Mitra was born with fair dominion, King, Disposer. May we enjoy the grace of him the Holy, yea, rest in his propitious loving-kindness.

rv03.059.05

म॒हाँ आ॑दि॒त्यो नम॑सोप॒सद्यो॑ यात॒यज्ज॑नो गृण॒ते सु॒शेवः॑। तस्मा॑ ए॒तत्पन्य॑तमाय॒ जुष्ट॑म॒ग्नौ मि॒त्राय॑ ह॒विरा जु॑होत॥

mahāṃ ādityo namasopasadyo yātayajjano gṛṇate suśevaḥ |
tasmā etat panyatamāya juṣṭam agnau mitrāya havir ā juhota ||

К великому Адитье надо приближаться с поклонением.
(Он) приводит в порядок людей, благосклонен к певцу -
Поэтому для самого удивительного Митры
Возлейте в огонь эту желанную жертву!

Dem großen Aditisohn soll man mit Verneigung nahen. Er eint die Menschen, ist dem Sänger freundlich. Diesem hochgeschätzten Mitra opfert diese erwünschte Spende ins Feuer!

The great Aditya, to be served with wor. ship, who stirreth men, is gracious to the singer. To Mitra, him most highly to be lauded, offer in fire oblation that he loveth.

rv03.059.06

मि॒त्रस्य॑ चर्षणी॒धृतोऽवो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ सान॒सि। द्यु॒म्नं चि॒त्रश्र॑वस्तमम्॥

mitrasya carṣaṇīdhṛto 'vo devasya sānasi |
dyumnaṃ citraśravastamam ||

Помощь бога Митры,
Поддерживающего людей, приносит добычу.
Блеск (его) окружен самой яркой славой.

Gewinnbringend ist die Gunst des völkererhaltenden Gottes Mitra, ruhmglänzend seine Herrlichkeit.

The gainful grace of Mitra,. God, supporter of the race of man, Gives splendour of most.glorious fame.

rv03.059.07

अ॒भि यो म॑हि॒ना दिवं॑ मि॒त्रो ब॒भूव॑ स॒प्रथाः॑। अ॒भि श्रवो॑भिः पृथि॒वीम्॥

abhi yo mahinā divam mitro babhūva saprathāḥ |
abhi śravobhiḥ pṛthivīm ||

Кто величием превзошел небо, –
Митра далеко простирающийся, –
Славой (он) пре(взошел) землю.

Der weitbekannte Mitra, der an Größe über den Himmel, an Ruhm über die Erde reicht;

Mitra whose glory spreads afar, he who in might surpasses heaven, Surpasses earth in his renown.

rv03.059.08

मि॒त्राय॒ पञ्च॑ येमिरे॒ जना॑ अ॒भिष्टि॑शवसे। स दे॒वान्विश्वा॑न्बिभर्ति॥

mitrāya pañca yemire janā abhiṣṭiśavase |
sa devān viśvān bibharti ||

Митре, чья сила – в помощи,
Покорились пять народов.
Он несет всех богов.

Dem Mitra sind die fünf Völker ergeben, dessen Macht überlegen ist. Er trägt alle Götter.

All the Five Races have repaired to Mitra, ever strong to aid, For he sustaineth all the Gods.

rv03.059.09

मि॒त्रो दे॒वेष्वा॒युषु॒ जना॑य वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषे। इष॑ इ॒ष्टव्र॑ता अकः॥

mitro deveṣv āyuṣu janāya vṛktabarhiṣe |
iṣa iṣṭavratā akaḥ ||

Митра среди богов, среди людей
Для человека, разложившего жертвенную солому,
Создал подкрепления, соответствующие обетам, которых пожелали.

Mitra bei Göttern und Ayu´s , hat er für den Barhis legenden Mann die Speisen bestimmt, deren Gelübde erwünscht ist.

Mitra to Gods, to living men, to him who strews the holy grass, Gives food fulfilling sacred Law.
