उत्ते॒ शुष्मा॑स ईरते॒ सिन्धो॑रू॒र्मेरि॑व स्व॒नः। वा॒णस्य॑ चोदया प॒विम्॥

ut te śuṣmāsa īrate sindhor ūrmer iva svanaḥ |
vāṇasya codayā pavim ||

Deine Kräfte steigen auf wie von dem Flusse das Rauschen der Welle. Schärfe die Spitze der Rede, wie die Spitze des Pfeils!

LOUD as a river's roaring wave thy powers have lifted up themselves: Urge on thine arrow's sharpened point.

प्र॒स॒वे त॒ उदी॑रते ति॒स्रो वाचो॑ मख॒स्युवः॑। यदव्य॒ एषि॒ सान॑वि॥

prasave ta ud īrate tisro vāco makhasyuvaḥ |
yad avya eṣi sānavi ||

अव्यो॒ वारे॒ परि॑ प्रि॒यं हरिं॑ हिन्व॒न्त्यद्रि॑भिः। पव॑मानं मधु॒श्चुत॑म्॥

avyo vāre pari priyaṃ hariṃ hinvanty adribhiḥ |
pavamānam madhuścutam ||

ā pavasva madintama pavitraṃ dhārayā kave |
arkasya yonim āsadam ||

sa pavasva madintama gobhir añjāno aktubhiḥ |
indav indrāya pītaye ||
