hinvanti sūram usrayaḥ svasāro jāmayas patim |

Läutere uns die Meisterschaft zu, dich berauschend, du Wohlbewaffneter! Komme doch fein, o Saft, hier her!

druṇā sadhastham aśnuṣe ||

indum indrāya pītaye ||

Dessen honigtriefende Farbe sie wie einen Falben mit den Steinen in Fluß bringen, den Saft für Indra zum Trunke.

Whose coloured sap they drive with stones, the yellow meath-distilling juice, Indu for Indra, for his drink.

तस्य॑ ते वा॒जिनो॑ व॒यं विश्वा॒ धना॑नि जि॒ग्युषः॑। स॒खि॒त्वमा वृ॑णीमहे॥

tasya te vājino vayaṃ viśvā dhanāni jigyuṣaḥ |
sakhitvam ā vṛṇīmahe ||

taṃ tvā dhartāram oṇyoḥ pavamāna svardṛśam |
hinve vājeṣu vājinam ||

The pitchers, Indu, with thy streams have sung aloud in vigorous might Enter them, and let Indra drink.

यस्य॑ ते॒ मद्यं॒ रसं॑ ती॒व्रं दु॒हन्त्यद्रि॑भिः। स प॑वस्वाभिमाति॒हा॥

yasya te madyaṃ rasaṃ tīvraṃ duhanty adribhiḥ |
sa pavasvābhimātihā ||

Läutere du dich als Feindevernichter, dessen berauschenden scharfen Saft sie mit den Steinen ausmelken.

अर्षा॑ सोम द्यु॒मत्त॑मो॒ऽभि द्रोणा॑नि॒ रोरु॑वत्। सीद॑ञ्छ्ये॒नो न योनि॒मा॥

arṣā soma dyumattamo 'bhi droṇāni roruvat |
sīdañ chyeno na yonim ā ||

apsā indrāya vāyave varuṇāya marudbhyaḥ |
somo arṣati viṣṇave ||
