Acknowledgments

CDSL exists thanks to the lexicographers whose print dictionaries it digitizes, the project team at the University of Cologne, and the contributors who report and submit corrections.

Markup & implementation credits

The markup of the various dictionaries was designed and implemented by:

  • Thomas Malten (Cologne University) and assistants in India
  • Peter Scharf (The Sanskrit Library)
  • Malcolm D. Hyman (Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte, Berlin)
  • Jim Funderburk

The API was envisioned by Malcolm Hyman and Peter Scharf (mid-2000s) and implemented by Jim Funderburk (see the API page).

Funding

The digitizations of works marked with an asterisk (*) on the front page were funded by the DFG-NEH Project (2010–2013) — a joint Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft / National Endowment for the Humanities programme.
