Appendix A — Wiegand microstructure
MW has a fully integrated microstructure at the macro level, additive at the micro level for thin entries. Three maximally-discriminative structural indicators (genuineroot, <ls>L.</ls>, <lang>); an 18-indicator inventory consistent with a scholarly all-information dictionary (the Grimm class). The L.-hedge is a deliberate Strukturveränderung of PWG's source-attribution system. — §A
Appendix B — Atkins-Rundell practical lexicography
MW is a retrieval dictionary (not production): maximally-explicit compound headword inventory (50.4% of records), translation-equivalent glosses, no examples, locator-only citations, and L. as a koshic-only register marker. Its apparent gaps are coherent under that brief. — §B
Appendix C — Hausmann-Wiegand comment-classes
MW's 18 blocks partition into Form / Semantic / (residual) Pragmatic / Quellen comment-classes — plus a proposed fifth class, Provenienz-Komment, for the <ls>L.</ls> hedge that names the kind of evidence rather than a source. Fourteen article types reduce to five recurring signatures. — §C
The
L.-hedge that all three appendices converge on was checked across eight dictionaries (D2 audit): MW 40,212; PWG/PWK/WIL/CAE/SKD/VCP 0; AP 1; Benfey 0 despite a full citation apparatus.
